rich, slow-cooked lamb with artichoke hearts and Lebanese rice pilaf
chickpea & fava bean fritters, tahini sauce
yogurt, chickpeas, pine nuts, garlic, pomegranates (when in season), pita chips
Tall and curved ceilings lend an elegant touch. Clean and upscale feel. Wait staff all dressed in black. Silverware, cloth napkin, plates all in good condition. Booth seat offered comfort. My favorite item on the Chef's Platter was the stuffed grape leaves.
Amazing food and service as always. One of the best restaurants in DC, period.
Nice ambiance with friendly staff. Food was excellent...we will definitely be back. Kibbeh and three hummus platter were very good. Shrimp kabobs were ok, lamb and beef sandwich delicious, ouzi was great.
Such a consistently positive experience every time I go. Great flavors and menu selection and very friendly staff.
I like this place. I have been going there for a long time>.......>..>..........>>
Such amazing food!
always good food and friendly service. Take the metro, sometimes parking is an issue.
The folks at lebanese taverna did a fantastic job - their outdoor seating has plenty of distance between tables and the food and service are excellent.
I love their food! The service is fabulous; you just know that they are doing everything possible to make sure you are happy with everything.
Service was good and saved the evening, the food was fair, mezze were good, mixed kebob on the dry side for the meat, vegetable cut very thick, rice was good. Overall, I would not come back. Maybe an off night, we were at 7:30 pm the only one in the restaurant. Again our waiter did a great job.
Excellent food, gracious service. Love this place.
The Lebanese Taverna is always a great place to go for lunch. The mezzes/combos are very savory and diverse, whether they are vegetarian (the fresh hummus is wonderful) or served with meat (lamb or chicken). The food is authentic and the Lebanese red wines from the Beka Valley are as good as French or Californian wines for the same or even a lower price. The space of the restaurant is always wide and the tables are spacious.
Best Lebanese food in the DMV! Food is always delicious, fresh, and super tasty! Personal favs are Labneh, Tabbouleh, Kafta Harra and shrimp arak. Their bread is amazing!
Always a solid choice. Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. Felt like they were very safe and taking appropriate COVID precautions.
Server totally took care of us 4 at the table and made great recommendations. Very helpful with allergies at the table.
Food and service was outstandig. I like Lebanese wine is perfect😃
Always the favorite! A classic that never disappoints.
Lebanese Taverna always serves fresh food with delicious taste. The humus and baba ghanoush are always so perfect served with piping hot fresh pita. they have an excellent Mediterranean Lebanese cuisine and I've never had a bad meal. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants a delicious and healthy meal.
We had a very nice meal. Good service. The lamb was terrific.
Very good food and service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this place - food is great - the garlic 🧄 paste is delicious
The baba ghanoush, cauliflower and seasoned fries were delicious. The hummus was perfectly seasoned and the warm bread with the zatar and olive oil dip was a great starter along with the kibbee. Highly recommend LT is you want delicious and fresh Lebanese cuisine!
This is one of the best Lebanese restaurants I’ve been to outside of Lebanon! The food doesn’t get more authentic than this. Everything we’ve tried was absolutely delicious and we make a point of eating there every time my family and I visit DC. Their fresh baked fresh is addicting and the mezza is mouthwatering!
The décor is clean and modern featuring a Lebanese theme, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some authentic and delicious Lebanese food.
always great food - love the salmon harra and the fresh made pita
Excellent food, service, and cleanliness. Would eat here again and again if I lived in DC.
The food was horrible . I had order lamb kabobs. It was so overcooked and dry that i felt puckish after first bite.
Chicken shawarmas were no where like chicken shawarmas. They had very dry chicken strips.
I raised the issue with the server and she took 15 minutes to say that the manager is far away.
Now that no scope for resolution was offered , we asked for to go boxes to take the food because we had spent $96 on it.
Later i spoke with the manager on call and he was very rude and didn't offer any good resolution.
Worst restaurant ever . Don't go ever.
Mustapha was so awesome and attentive, and he helped us with the surprise birthday song :-)
we sat outside. tables nicely spaced. good for social distancing.
Great to eat outdoors. Plenty of sanitizer, contact tracing list circulated. A good dining experience
The waitstaff was tremendously helpful and kind. All of the food was delicious and the overall experience was great.
Service and ambience were great. Food was just ok
Fantastic service! We had a party of 8 and a birthday, staff was very receptive and brought out a slice of cake. A great time!!
We visited the Taverna on Conneticutt Avenue un North West Washington DC and truly enjoyed the food and the overol meal and experiencia! Thank you so much!
Exceptionally convenient location and a beautifully updated interior. The restaurant attracted a large lunch crowd, even on a federal holiday. Food was delicious and noise level permitted easy conversation. Hope to be back soon.
The Taverna never disappoints. While it has seen dramatic changes since I first started dining in 1996, the quality of food and level of service has not. We look forward to going back soon.
Been coming to this location since the mid-90s. First time back in over a decade and it is still one of my favorite places for this type of cuisine. We had excellent service, and the food was a good as ever.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was stunning. Unfortunately the service was really pretty horrible which shadowed the entire experience. It seemed to be just our server though. If you're lucky, you'll get someone else. Food was worth it!
An awesome place with very good service. The food is incredible!!
Consistently good food. Appetizer portions could be bigger considering the prices.
After I made reservation on a recommendation I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant. However it took 34 minutes to get waited on. Once the waiters realized who’s table I was at service was great and food was great.
