Fantastic service! We had a party of 8 and a birthday, staff was very receptive and brought out a slice of cake. A great time!!
We visited the Taverna on Conneticutt Avenue un North West Washington DC and truly enjoyed the food and the overol meal and experiencia! Thank you so much!
Exceptionally convenient location and a beautifully updated interior. The restaurant attracted a large lunch crowd, even on a federal holiday. Food was delicious and noise level permitted easy conversation. Hope to be back soon.
The Taverna never disappoints. While it has seen dramatic changes since I first started dining in 1996, the quality of food and level of service has not. We look forward to going back soon.
Been coming to this location since the mid-90s. First time back in over a decade and it is still one of my favorite places for this type of cuisine. We had excellent service, and the food was a good as ever.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was stunning. Unfortunately the service was really pretty horrible which shadowed the entire experience. It seemed to be just our server though. If you're lucky, you'll get someone else. Food was worth it!
An awesome place with very good service. The food is incredible!!
Consistently good food. Appetizer portions could be bigger considering the prices.
After I made reservation on a recommendation I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant. However it took 34 minutes to get waited on. Once the waiters realized who’s table I was at service was great and food was great.
Love the food offerings -- despite the over-roasting of lamb kabobs, which is SO SURPRISING! Don't know why they are always a little dry and tough. In spite of that, glad we went with our out-of-town vegetarian guest who did very well. Wait staff was lovely, patient, and helpful. Yes, the room is "energetic" in terms of noise -- VERY loud. A beautiful carpeted or cork wall would still look hip and beautiful, but would be helpful for those of us with ears.
Lovely interior. Quiet at lunchtime; good for business discussion. Very courteous, welcoming, helpful staff. Extremely convenient location opposite Woodley Park Metro. Delicious!
The food was very very good and I was so pleased that they had Chateau Musar!!!!
Service was extremely slow and then when the main dish came it was dry from overcooking.
Service, food, and ambience = perfect!
The menu is not as varied as many Lebanese restaurants but the food is good. The lamb shank with artichokes and peas is especially tasty. Our server was helpful, friendly and attentive. Nice place. We’ve dined there often.
Excellent service and food! The appetizers are particularly well made.
Beautiful room, great food, attentive service...but on a busy night, man it was loud! Would happily come again, though. Many thanks, Frank Van Riper
Everything was delicious. But the garlic spread stole the show!
Dinner for 6, mezza and yummy bread to start, followed by a variety of dishes and baklava for dessert. Our waiter was excellent - he provided a substitute for the wine I wanted and it was much better!
Delicious appetizers. I highly recommend the pulled lamb.
I live in FL. When I visit DC this is my go-to place.
Every time I visit my family in Washington, D.C. I invite them for dinner at the Lebanese Taverna. The food is always authentic and well prepared. Even my grandchildren love the food and do not mind trying new food because they have learned that everything that is served is excellent. I am looking forward to my next visit
Amazing food, beautiful venue. Tad noisy when packed full of folks, but that's the only negative I can think of. The table meza pairings work very well and the baklava is to die for.
Great food and service! Everything was 10/10 will come again and highly recommend!
The renovated Lebanese Taverna is very salm and elegant. We enjoyed the meal and the service. We'd definitely return.
We had dinner and it was extremely good. We lived it. Everything was perfect. Food and drinks.
Always the most amazing food and service. Will keep coming back and back and back! I tell everyone about Leb Tav!
Excellent food. Attentive wait staff. Like others have said, they want you to order main meal quickly. Portions are good size.
Great Lebanese food in nice setting. Wish they would come to the West Coast !
Lovely, polite, attentive service, tremendous food.
Outstanding hummus as the starter! Both the lamb fatteh and the salmon were so flavorful! Baklava was perhaps the best we've ever had! Superb, perfectly paced service.
Thank you for dinning with us and for your feedback Very appreciated! Lebanese Taverna Staff
I eat here whenever in this part of town. The food is full of flavor and servings are ample. The staff are friendly and attentive. Out of town guests are treated to a nice meal and pleasant atmosphere.
Thank you very much for your visit and for the nice words! Lebanese Taverna Staff
The experience would have been better except for the noise level due to the stone walls and parabolic ceilings to reflect the noise. The other problem we had was the waiter who wanted to rush us through the ordering and meal. We just wanted several appetizers for dinner with our wine and beer but he kept coming back insisting the we should order because the were crowded and it might take a while to get our food. He did that to the table next to us also. They ordered the big combination appetizer platter which would have been enough for dinner for the two ladies. But he cam back shortly after he had brought the platter and insisted they needed to order their entrees. They did and he came back with the two big entrees before they had finished the platter and they about died to see that much more food. We are sure that if they had been allowed to finished the platter, they would have been done. They left most of their entrees.
Always great! Longtime customer and love the food and service~
Friendly staff, excellent food choices and the quality was superb!
Great food but a little on the loud side
A coworker recommended this restaurant, and we're so glad we found it. The food was outstanding. And our waitress was kind and patient as we made our selections. We hope to visit again when in DC.
Too loud for enjoyable conversation.
Great food. Poor service. Waiter couldn’t handle his station effectively. Appeared disorganized for the demands of the job on a busy evening. Or the restaurant needs more help.
This place used to be good but now the food is bad, the service is slow and disorganized. It took us over an hour to get our meal. I am not ever going back there. I didn't even tip the waiter.
