The staff is great and the food is delicious.
I went here with my family for dinner. Without a doubt the best Lebanese food I have ever eaten. We started with a round of hummus and tzatziki before moving to main courses. Very friendly atmosphere and delicious food paired with great service made this a great meal for any occasion.
I had a Chef’s plate and green salad and my guest had roasted chicken and vegetables. They were delicious and the service was very attentive.
It was super noisy and busy. It took a half hour to get our order in. Food, when it came was awesome and nice sized.
Good food, good prices and portions. Host was nice, wait staff is ok, not too friendly but professional. It is on my list of favorites.
Delicious food-attentive service
Food was excellent, take a while to get our drinks and buy a while I mean more than 10 minutes. Overall atmosphere is very good, a very dependable Dining experience
We always enjoy Lebanese Taverna, my husband is Lebanese and he always feels like he is eating at Grandma’s house.
Open Table notified us we did not honor our reservation
This is incorrect- my wife had dinner there tonight as per
Our reservation- $86 - and a very good dinner indeed
Restaurant should have done more to get parents of screaming toddler to get him to stop screaming. While many of us have been there before, they should have walked the child out.
One of the best restaurants in D.C. The food and service are always fantastic.
Fantastic service by Isa. He really made the night very enjoyable. The food was surprisingly good.
Appetizers sampler was awesome, but not so impressed with the main entree - chicken Fatteh. Would certainly go back but will stick to appetizers and shawarmas.
The chef’s special assortment of appetizers was tasty but seemed smaller than the platter at the location in Pentagon City. The service was mediocre and unfriendly. We felt rushed on a quiet week night and comprised us fully enjoying the dinner.
Overall the food was great but I think the server may have been working in the kitchen as well. 38 min before he took our order and we had to track him down to be able to pay, no refills on drinks.
Very delicious meals and sweets.
We love going to the Lebanese Taverna. The food is wonderful and the price reasonable. We always order small plates and share. Favorites include the chicken schwarma appetizer (not on the menu but still available), stuffed grape leaves, Taverna salad, and the baba ganoush.
We make a stop at Lebanese Taverna every time we visit DC! It’s always a wonderful experience.
Very nice food, nice choices on the menu. We got the two special platters, one a variety of delicious appetizers, and the other a shwarma plate with mixed sides - we chose lamb. That was a nice way to sample lots of good things. Of course if we could eat Lebanese food more often we wouldn't do that, but we were there from out of town and we don't have any Lebanese restaurants near us.
For part of the time it was too noise for us to be able to converse easily, but towards the end it was quieter. We came at 6:45 on a Sunday evening. I suppose if one wants quiet (which we do) one should try to come at 5:30 or so.
Traveling in the Middle East and eating in various countries, I found Lebanese food and the eating experience to be the best in the region. Finding good hummus, pita, mezza, meats and atmosphere all in one place has been challenging. Lebanese Taverna gets high marks all the way around! I had mezza and Lebanese wine - all delicious. And, every server has been friendly and professional. If you enjoy Mediterranean food you will be pleased with the quality, price and value.
All around great!
I have great memories of coming here with my daughter and her husband a few years ago. What a wonderful family get-together with delicious food. I came back by myself this year when I was in town for a conference, on my own this time. Again, the food was wonderful and the service was great. And while there were some large tables with other conference-goers, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable as a "party of one"--given a lovely table along the back wall with a great view out over the room for people-watching, with enough space for perusing my book. I definitely recommend Lebanese Taverna.
Food was cold. Expected a way better meal. Even the bread was cold. Very disappointing.
Far exceeded my expectations. Food was uniformly good (we had a group of 8 and all gave positive comments) and the ambience was more upscale than one would guess from the price.
Service was good. We first got drinks and appetizers. The food was delicious. Will go back if I stay in the area again.
The first night we ate there we were with a large group in the back room. It was often loud from the restaurant even with the doors closed but it was still an enjoyable evening. It was so good that another couple went with us back a second time to eat while in Washington. The food is amazing! Authentic Lebanese! LOVE the hummus and baba ganoush!!
Great dinner, service, and ambiance! I would definitely return here. The staff was great and there’s a nice selection of Lebanese wine.
Our second time to dine at this restaurant and location. The food is amazing. The service is excellent. It was much more crowded this time than last and very loud/busy. It’s a fun restaurant especially if you order table service with a variety of small plates.
It was delightful. I love their ‘garlic butter’. The more questions we asked about the food, the more interest our waitress took and sharing suggestions and things for us to try. We loved our evening. food and service!
Always on it’s A game. First class. Been eating here and recommending it for two decades.
Good food. Shawerma sandwich fell apart...luckily we had other bread at table and I was able to rec construct my shawerma... please stop putting lettuce in a shawema...it doesn't belong.
Loved the Taverna! It was the 2nd time I'd been there. This time there were 3 of us, and we ordered 4 mezze to share, which was plenty. The server was helpful to us in deciding a wine, bringing us a taste of those we were considering. We didn't see a lot of him, it was very busy, but we didn't need him so that was fine. The food is excellent. The hummus was super smooth, the bread "pillows" they brought us were fresh out of the over and absolutely delicious. We also had Shrimp Arak (outstanding!) and mousaka (also very good). I highly recommend this place.
Great place! This was walking distance from our hotel and I'm glad I made reservations. There was a line just a few minutes after we were seated. The food and service was excellent. My husband and I started with the chicken samosas and my two friends started with the hommus trio. Both were great. All three of my dinner mates had the mixed kebabs and I had the Fatteh (lamb). If I have any complaint, it's that I couldn't finish it. Nearly miserably full, we still ordered dessert and the bread pudding was outstanding. Not too sweet. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Far too noisy for our group. Also, restaurant could not find my reservation. Why is this a recurring
Awesome food and service!
Great food, great service, and amazing ambiance. Definitely try the falafel sliders and classic hummus!
Always try to eat here on trips to Washington, DC. It never disappoints!
Such delicious food
We are trying to get in again tonight!
Thank you Habibs
The food was great. Tried several new things as well as old favorites and all were wonderful. We went for dinner before walking up to the zoo a few blocks away.
My curry was fantastic. Bread was so good, we couldn't stop eating it.
