About Lebanese Taverna - Tysons Galleria
Lebanese Taverna creates an environment where good food is enjoyed in good company. Each restaurant is a "home away from home," even though the food and ambiance are from across the globe. Whether you are visiting for the first time, the twentieth, or have been coming to a Lebanese Taverna for over 35 years, you will feel welcomed and like a member of the family. The atmosphere is bustling and each of the restaurants has its own design and slightly different flavors. That is because the food is made fresh.

Lebanese Taverna - Tysons Galleria Ratings and Reviews
Pros: Food is always excellent.
Cons: Extremely loud, very difficult to carry on a conversation without shouting.
Food was brought quickly, but our server literally stood over us while I was putting leftovers into the take home box and took the flatware out of my hand! There were NO customers waiting for a table, so I cannot understand why we were so rudely dismissed. We have patronized ALL of the Lebanese Taverna locations in the DC metro area over the past 30 years and have never been treated so poorly. We may have to rethink our restaurant choice.
This restaurant has wonderful food, but it is wa-a-ay too noisy. It needs some sound control. The tables are really close together and between the noise level and the close tables, it makes it hard to have a nice quiet rendez-vous. I have been there in the evening when we had to yell at each other to hear anything.
I went with a group of 6 to celebrate a birthday. I enjoyed a lamb shawarma plate that came with rice and it was very delicious. The meat was cooked very well and to my preference. I was a little disappointed that on a Friday night, the restaurant had no chicken items available. I would definitely go again. It can get a little costly for larger groups.
The food and service were fantastic. I ordered the lentil soup, which was to die for! I also had the chef’s sampler and every single item was top notch. Overall, the food is of excellent quality yet very well priced, the service is efficient and genuine, and there’s a great variety of drinks / cocktails. Great experience, Loved it!
While I miss the Syrian chef, I still enjoy the Chef's Mezza platter as my favorite. The staff kindly sits us in a quieter corner so my friend and I can talk. We are made to feel welcome. The service is good but not intrusive, European style, which we appreciate. We are able to relax and savor our favorite Chef's sampling of delectable food. This is our traditional place to meet on a regular basis as both the type of service and the food bring us back. I have recommended the restaurant to friends all over the area. Can be a bit noisy for groups and, as nice as the outdoor patio is, it is unfortunate that it borders a noisy parking lot. But still a favorite place to go.
As usual, Lebanese Taverna delivers. We were dining with the kids so the attentive service, thoughtful waiters, and delicious food makes an evening out a breeze. When we are in the Tysons area, this is our go to restaurant, offering healthy and tasty meals at a good value.
The food is always good here, but the noise level is very uncomfortable. The only time that we like to go to this restaurant is when we can eat outside. By the time that you have yelled at each other for over an hour, it is exhausting. I keep thinking that they will do something about the noise, but they don't.
Table I asked for when I made the reservation was given to someone else. Booth I was given was right next to wait station. Loud conversations (arguments) over who could serve which tables, etc. Who designs a restaurant this way?? Waitress was nice but not very attentive. Instead of refilling iced tea glasses, she just brought new ones--later than she should. At one time, we had 5 empty tea glasses on our table. :-/
No chicken shawarma (probably ran out)
Beef and lamb shawarma was literally over cooked and felt like burnt piece that are usually left at the bottom of shawarma.
Made special request to be careful with nuts as daughter has severe allergy to all tree nuts. We were told rice has noodles but when the platter came, it had all sorts of nuts in it. The server had no idea and the chef didn't bother to se the notes from server.
A very beautiful decor with excellent service a menu with enough variety for most tastes (with annotations for Gluten Free which is a plus) at a reasonable price. My only concern was that my date and I were seated at a table for 4, but even with only two people there really wasn't enough room on the tabletop for our food and drinks. It was almost like they were cocktail tables. We found ourselves constantly having to shift the plates around because we couldn't have them in front of us due to lack of room. Otherwise it was a great place that I plan to visit again.
Great Dining Experience-Lebanese at it's best!
Monday, August 7, 2017 we dined at the Lebanese Tavern. I found this restaurant on Open Table so went by their reviews and Trip Advisor. Food was very interesting, a nice welcome to the Lebanese culture. Atmosphere was warm and friendly. It is located in the Tyson's Galleria.
For appetiizers we shared the watermelon-feta slad and the house salad. Our entrees included: Chicken Favit (not sure of spelling), a half chicken, deboned and arranged with delicious vegetable and potatoes. They serve a garlic, lemon spread on the side which was very fragrant. My dish was a braised lamb shank served over cherry tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Very simple but extremely flavorful. For dessert we shared the baklava, 2 rolled pieces served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream- tasty and a nice light touch to end our meal.
Our server, Khali was exceptional.. He was extremely welcoming and too pride in his work. If in the area I would truly recommend a visit to the Lebanese Tavern.
