Wonderful food & service--just a little too loud in restaurant to hear our group easily. Salmon platter, falafel, lentil soup, hommus tray were all delicious. Sampler appetizer not so good for a group, as there was a single falafel or 3 grape leaves, etc--but delicious.
The food was great as always. The host was a little gruff but the server was very kind and friendly.
Everything we ordered was delicious! The food and service here are always top notch - Lebanese taverna is hands down the best Mediterranean cuisine you can find anywhere in the metro area!
Convenient spot in pentagon row. Good is decent but a bit overpriced for the quality.
Food was terrific. Kibbeh like butter and some of the most flavorful vegetarian dishes I have had. Ambiance and service we're fine, but will absolutely be back for the meal. Higly recommend going with a big group and sharing.
We were visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Arlington and thought this would be a nice change from the usual. We all travel extensively and enjoy a variety of food. Loved it! We tried several appetizers, including the lamb tartare, excellent, and we shared the lamb sharhat entre. My daughter & SIL had the lentil soup, which was light and full of lemon & mint flavor. The service was great and we loved the selection of Lebanese wines. We tried the Wardy (red) and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to returning and trying more menu items.
We enjoy the time there, Food delicious. Thank you guys.
We celebrated my goddaughters 16 Birthday.. Ryan was our waiter and was fabulous!!
We had a terrible experience at the restaurant Sunday night. The maitre’d pointed to the table when we arrived rather than walking us to it. While that seemed unusual it was his attitude later that was upsetting. We have been coming to this restaurant for years and even had a family event catered by them. Our waiter was virtually missing most of the night and when we asked for the bill from the maitre’d (because we could not find the waiter) he made unnecessary comments like: we are busy tonight, we do not have enough kitchen staff etc. I told him I didn’t want to know any of that, just wanted the check. Told him we had been here many times and that we had even had a family event catered by them. He said....you should have told me so we could treat you well. I told him that all guests should be treated well!!!! He tried making excuses. Seriously, just do a better job! The food was not up to snuff and the service was nonexistent. I am very upset that we wasted just under $200 for an awful dinner experience with dear friends.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. The food was yummy and nicely presented - very good choices for this vegetarian ! Service was good too.
Just love this place. Food is always great. Love the ambience.
I've eaten here a number of times. The service can be a little slow, but it's sincere when it comes. All of the dishes I've had, particularly the shawarma and lamb and artichoke stew have been delicious, and I enjoy the sangria as well.
Best man from Hawaii came to town
The good is always outstanding. The service was exceptional and they were busy. Their staff works together to make sure they care care of you at all times.
Can’t wait to go back.
Good food for sharing. Good service. Went for a business meal and did not feel rushed
Mother’s dinner. Food was great. Service was ok. Would come back for more.
Lebanese Taverna is and has been one of my favorite restaurants for 18 years. Our family of four went to celebrate my daughter's birthday and Mother's day, and enjoyed every bite of the food we ordered. The service was great, and the staff and management are always very friendly and accommodating.
Our Mother's Day luncheon was not the experience we had planned. We had no one waiter assigned to our table until Kamal stepped up. The service, except Kamal's, was no existent to spotty. I arrived early to explain how the check was to be divided. Because no one came to our table during our early arrival, I ended up having to do that at the table in front of the mothers. Then, the waiter had a difficult time understanding the instructions. During the meal, we never saw a waiter. It was when I flagged down Kamal that he stepped in and helped. I'm sorry that he had to leave before we did because we wanted all of the tip to go to him. I will not return to Lebanese Taverna again. Even the two older gentlemen at the hostess stand seemed to be incompetent. Sorry folks, you blew it!
The waiter was very helpful for our group of friends who had never eaten there before. The food came in a timely manner. A very enjoyable evening.
Server just seemed annoyed we were there to dine. When asked for our drink orders we each ordered a beverage and I also asked for waters. He didn’t hear? We had to ask on multiple occasions and each time he brought only for the person who asked. Is there a water rationing I’m unaware of? He also brought two pieces of bread for four diners saying “I’ll bring more in just a minute”, then we had to ask for more after waiting awhile. We were very polite and always said “when you get a chance”. When we asked he got right away but caused a LOT of unnecessary trips on his part. We didn’t even bother to ask for a last water, we just shared as he seemed so irritated.
The Lebanese taverna at Tyson’s has always had the very nice staff when we’ve been there. The other staff we encountered at PR were nice so maybe our guy just was having a horrid day. But it is then the managers job to step in and help so the customer gets good service.
The food was good, not stellar but solid enough.
The food and atmosphere were excellent but the service was a little slow (a little too long between the appetizer and the entree). Still overall it was an enjoyable meal. I would come again.
Enjoyable option among the different branches and original in Arlington. Service friendly and attentive. Some things found on this menu different from other locations.
My friends and I enjoyed the food and drinks. There were 2 vegetarians in the group so they had much to choose from. The server checked on us often to make sure everything was fine.
The food was delicious and the server, Nino, was very attentive yet not overbearing. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy a delightful lunch!
We are on our first trip to DC and we wanted to try food that we never had before. I found this restaurant on Open Table w/ favorable reviews so we decided to try it. The reviews were spot on- the servers were very knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions to eat. Everything was delicious and we were very pleased with our whole experience.
Fantastic restaurant - the quality at this location only seems to go up! There are new Lebanese wines on the menu (new to me, I should say), IXRIS, and they are fantastic. I'm already looking forward to enjoying the one we had again! We went for my birthday, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered, but I think I "won" dinner. I had the gluten free (vegetarian?) MESHI grilled eggplant and zucchini rolls, stuffed with vegetable rice pilaf, tomato sauce, yogurt sauce, nuts, mint. We had a starter of the ARAK SHRIMP.
The staff was lovely and Hamdi, the manager, is very nice and friendly!
Great food, great service
Outstanding dinner. We will surely be back. Original and authentic. Great service.
This restaurant was amazing. The food is very fresh and delicious. The Pita Bread is amazing, hot and puffy when you receive it. That's how you know its fresh. The servers were very friendly and we were seated right away. We even asked to be sat outside and without hesitation they granted our wish. I would highly recommend this restaurant that likes Mediterranean food.
We enjoyed the excellent service, ambiance, and tasty cuisine! We had a large party and the manager arranged everything perfectly. We had a few kids present, and the staff were attentive and responsive. We celebrated a full military honors funeral at Arlington as well as several birthdays at the same time, and the culinary experience with culture was refreshing!
Great food, great service. Very attentive staff and very authentic meals!
Excellent as usual. There was a large party that increases the noise, but it was not distracting. Great value for the money.
Lebanese Taverna is convenient to where I live, so I go there from time to time. I’ve always found the food to be above average in quality, and I especially like the bread that’s served with the meals. The atmosphere is pleasant, without excessive noise.
We love Mediterranean restaurants and were excited to try Lebanese Taverna after reading the reviews. The ambiance, service and bread were very good but most of us in our party thought the food was tasteless which definitely isn't the norm for Mediterranean restaurants. We all had different entrees and all felt the same way. Very disappointing.
Visitors from Ireland enjoyed it
Don't bother making a reservation for Pentagon Row via OpenTable because even though we had one, they sat people, first-come, first-serve. While we made a reservation for 7, we waited at the front door for approximately 10-15 minutes for the host to seat us. Isn't the point of having a reservation, not having to wait to be seated? In addition, he was very "put off" by my mentioning a reservation and was not pleasant or friendly. Our server was great, and while the food took a little while, and he seemed overwhelmed, he made sure to stop by to tell us food was on way, was very engaging and super-friendly... Food was good, had the salmon dish, substituted pilaf for double veggies which I felt they still skimped on. Overall good experience, but not fantastic. I prefer the Tyson's Galleria location for service.
Excellent food, wonderful and friendly service... Lebanese Taverna never disappoints!!!
Was a perfect evening with exceptional food and service. From the minute you walked in you were treated special. The happy hour was where we started before our reservation. The roasted olives were an absolute delight. We will definitely be back!!!
At this location, the food was excellent and the service superb! We all enjoyed it very much. For us, it is worth the drive and the paid parking.
Excellent food and accommodated preferences for table. Excellent service too and creative non-alcoholic drinks.
