Kamal was wonderful. Very helpful explaining the different dishes. Very attentive 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤗🤗🤗
Wonderful treat for dinner while we were visiting family in VA! There were several delicious vegetarian main dish options as well the yummiest lamb preparations for the rest of us meat-eaters (the lamb shank was SO tender!)! But we could have been easily satisfied with the portions of appetizers--we ordered the Watermelon Salad (omgosh--goat cheese and basil? Brilliant!), falafel, and the incredible Lebanese Moussaka. The bread is amazing and the service quick and attentive. It was a little noisy, but I think that was because we had two rather loud groups of ladies on either side of us. Otherwise, it was totally worth every penny we spent.
Food and service is excellent. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful place to spend time over an excellent casual dinner with friends.
I really enjoy the food here. I don't think I have ever been disappointed.
I wouldn't order the sangria. Definitely more of a "Spanish" thing. It was just okay and there was barely any fruit. In fact, they ran out of fruit. But, all in all, the hummus and other Lebanese dishes were delish!
Unfortunately I received a call midday telling me that they could not honor the reservation for 11 people that evening because the place had been rented out. I asked if they could change my reservation to another location for me and they said no, but I could try to do so on my own. No thanks.
Everything was great. The only bad thing was the food came out slowly. The waitress was awesome, it was just the food came out too slow. Thanks!
Taverna is always good. The waitress was timely and pleasant, the food was very tasty, and the price was fair. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and the music from the Army band; Pentagon Row has concerts in the courtyard every Thursday evening, so it’s a great night out. Highly recommend Taverna; one of the top restaurants in Arlington.
Great server! So attentive and kind!
The best thing about this establishement, with its several locations, is the food. Good quality, consistent, and tasty. The Pentagon Row location is relatively small and too loud, busy, and messy. Not indusive for a quiet conversation, especially on Friday evening when we went.
We have been many times, I don't know if they changed chef's, owner, but the food was terrible. Vry disappointed....
Great Middle Eastern fare. The food is excellent and authentic. The atmosphere is relaxed and a great place for friends to meet or to take business associates for a unique dining experience.
Ordered the platters as entries. Great way to try multiple different items and find your favorites.
We had a nice meal. The server was a little off (pouring water into one of the sprite drinks) but overall it was fine.
Many years ago we were always excited to visit DC because our favorite Lebanese restaurant was the LT. The tastes just exploded in your mouth! We ate at the original location back in December and were disappointed in both the reduction in menu items and the quality of food. We were here again in July and thought we'd give the Crystal City location a try since we really love good middle eastern food. Again we were very disappointed in the quality of the food. I guess the LT has grown so much that the attention to the wonderful food they used to serve has forever waned. Sad!
The host would not seat my guest because I was running late which was disconcerting.
We had a fantastic meal. Everyone, including the 3 kids in our group loved the food. Service was very good. A+
The food was wonderful. We got both of the combo plates, and they were both amazing.
Love this restaurant. The food is always amazing and the staff couldn't be nicer! One of our favorites!!
Some restaurants don’t have their “A” team on Sunday evenings. Not true in this restaurant - food and service all 1st rate. Large portions - had to take a lot home.
First place we often visit after a 3 hour drive toDC. Mouthwatering all the way there. Never disappoints us. Friendly welcome, always fresh, flavorful, and more than adequate portions. Been eating there for years and look forward to our next visit.
Wonderful food and service.
Looking 3to dining here again soonest.
Wonderful food & service--just a little too loud in restaurant to hear our group easily. Salmon platter, falafel, lentil soup, hommus tray were all delicious. Sampler appetizer not so good for a group, as there was a single falafel or 3 grape leaves, etc--but delicious.
The food was great as always. The host was a little gruff but the server was very kind and friendly.
Everything we ordered was delicious! The food and service here are always top notch - Lebanese taverna is hands down the best Mediterranean cuisine you can find anywhere in the metro area!
Convenient spot in pentagon row. Good is decent but a bit overpriced for the quality.
Food was terrific. Kibbeh like butter and some of the most flavorful vegetarian dishes I have had. Ambiance and service we're fine, but will absolutely be back for the meal. Higly recommend going with a big group and sharing.
We were visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Arlington and thought this would be a nice change from the usual. We all travel extensively and enjoy a variety of food. Loved it! We tried several appetizers, including the lamb tartare, excellent, and we shared the lamb sharhat entre. My daughter & SIL had the lentil soup, which was light and full of lemon & mint flavor. The service was great and we loved the selection of Lebanese wines. We tried the Wardy (red) and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to returning and trying more menu items.
We enjoy the time there, Food delicious. Thank you guys.
We celebrated my goddaughters 16 Birthday.. Ryan was our waiter and was fabulous!!
We had a terrible experience at the restaurant Sunday night. The maitre’d pointed to the table when we arrived rather than walking us to it. While that seemed unusual it was his attitude later that was upsetting. We have been coming to this restaurant for years and even had a family event catered by them. Our waiter was virtually missing most of the night and when we asked for the bill from the maitre’d (because we could not find the waiter) he made unnecessary comments like: we are busy tonight, we do not have enough kitchen staff etc. I told him I didn’t want to know any of that, just wanted the check. Told him we had been here many times and that we had even had a family event catered by them. He said....you should have told me so we could treat you well. I told him that all guests should be treated well!!!! He tried making excuses. Seriously, just do a better job! The food was not up to snuff and the service was nonexistent. I am very upset that we wasted just under $200 for an awful dinner experience with dear friends.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. The food was yummy and nicely presented - very good choices for this vegetarian ! Service was good too.
Just love this place. Food is always great. Love the ambience.
I've eaten here a number of times. The service can be a little slow, but it's sincere when it comes. All of the dishes I've had, particularly the shawarma and lamb and artichoke stew have been delicious, and I enjoy the sangria as well.
Best man from Hawaii came to town
The good is always outstanding. The service was exceptional and they were busy. Their staff works together to make sure they care care of you at all times.
Can’t wait to go back.
Good food for sharing. Good service. Went for a business meal and did not feel rushed
Mother’s dinner. Food was great. Service was ok. Would come back for more.
Lebanese Taverna is and has been one of my favorite restaurants for 18 years. Our family of four went to celebrate my daughter's birthday and Mother's day, and enjoyed every bite of the food we ordered. The service was great, and the staff and management are always very friendly and accommodating.
Our Mother's Day luncheon was not the experience we had planned. We had no one waiter assigned to our table until Kamal stepped up. The service, except Kamal's, was no existent to spotty. I arrived early to explain how the check was to be divided. Because no one came to our table during our early arrival, I ended up having to do that at the table in front of the mothers. Then, the waiter had a difficult time understanding the instructions. During the meal, we never saw a waiter. It was when I flagged down Kamal that he stepped in and helped. I'm sorry that he had to leave before we did because we wanted all of the tip to go to him. I will not return to Lebanese Taverna again. Even the two older gentlemen at the hostess stand seemed to be incompetent. Sorry folks, you blew it!
