Lebanese Taverna - Pentagon Row
Lebanese Taverna was our go to favorite for 20+ years, but Friday night was blah. Service was slow/bad, drinks were not good, food just was not what it used to be. Food was blah.
Wonderful service and terrific food! And not to noisy like many others -just the right atmosphere to catch up with friends over wine and delicious small bites.
Great spot for couple or family gathering. Superb service.
One of my favorite restaurants in Northern Virginia. I moved away in 2017 and was back for a visit with one criteria, that we go to Lebanese Taverna for dinner. Everyone agreed that the experience was all that I'd promised.
I honestly don't think there's a better place to eat in the DC area!!
The food is consistently good at all of the Lebanese Taverna locations, the service on the other hand is sporadic at best. From having to request water three times to eventually stacking all of our plates up on the table since our starter plates were not removed, the service was severely off. Our server was pleasant, he just did very little serving.
We love the hummus, lentil soup, fattoush, and the kabobs.
The food and service is always superb. A huge meal for under $100....
Great food and service as always
We enjoyed a wonderful family-style meal. There was a great variety and large quantity of food, and it was quite delicious.
Food was disappointing. Used to be better.
Chicken Shwarma and Lamb and Artichoke stew were very good. Disappointed with Plain French fries, no seasoning also very disappointed with over baked Baklava Cheesecake. Halawet Jibne crepe part was much much thinner than used to be.
Love this place and always have. Our go-to for reliably sublime food! Every tim.
As usual, Lebanese Taverna did not disappoint. Appreciate the gluten free cracker and carrot options for the hummus
We had outstanding service from reception through final meal courses. We, did have reservations which I highly recommend. Delicious mediterranean cuisine. Our server was outstanding. Very accommodating and helpful. He was astute in remembering preferences. Place was very clean. Don't forget to take a cinnamon or Ouzo flavored candy when you leave. In the winter take time to watch the skating rink outside.
First time having authentic Lebanese food, really enjoyed myself. I must say, I was not a fan of Hummus but after my experience at this restaurant will definitely try again.
We went for my husbands birthday. He ordered the zucchini rolls and I got a falafel sandwich. Both were excellent. Everything was wonderful! Beautiful decor, attentive wait staff and delicious food.
Fantastic Atmosphere, Delicious Food and Reasonable Prices.
Food was good. My husband is not a fan of lamb and prefers beef to chicken so he had a hard time finding something to try. The wait staff was wonderful. I enjoyed my mixed meats platter very much. I will go back when traveling alone but won’t likely get my husband to go back.
We ordered a bunch of mezzas ... waitress perhaps could have suggested that quantity would have been A LOT for 2 people? Food was delicious ...
Went for lunch. Hummus delicious. A little sparse on the meat content of sandwiches; waitress forgot beverages until end of meal, and wasn't very attentive, even though the restaurant was not busy.
It was very noisy, to the point we found it difficult to talk. We usually love this place, so we’re disappointed.
Heard that the fries were great, but no such luck. They weren’t worth ordering. Better clarity on vegan fare would have been appreciated by one member of our party. All of the hummus varieties were great!
The food is delicious. We ate outside and enjoyed the surroundings.
Make reservations if you're going to eat after about 630. Great food & great prices in a terrific location!
food was very good and service was excellent...but WAY too loud
We sat outside for a business dinner as it was a beautiful night and it was not busy. He took a full 20 min for a waiter to even approach us. We ordered drinks and appetizers which came out quickly however, I had to get up an physically look for someone to take our entree order. I have always liked the food, but quality of food has taken a nose dive. I then had to track down someone for the check. Service along with so so food will not urge me to come back anytime soon.
Love Lebanese Taverna. Delicious food and kind and friendly servers
It's been a while since I've eaten here and I was disappointed. The cocktail and entree were not good. Entree (lamb kefteh) had little flavor.
Took my Lebanese wife and family to the Taverna for a Birthday celebration and found it to be outstanding. The food was excellent. The service was prompt, attentive, and pleasant. The atmosphere was clean and sophisticated. Hence, I would highly recommend the restaurant to all seeking a fine dining experience.
We had prompt, attentive service throughout our meal. Usually we go to the LT in downtown DC, but I would definitely go back to the Pentagon Row location - it feels more intimate and cozy.
Great food and service as always!
Plenty of gluten free options! Food was delicious!
Enjoyed the patio seating on a pleasant summer evening — fresh air and much quieter than inside.
Lebanese Taverna always delivers great food and service. It’s a regular meet for friends. This time was to celebrate a birthday. We weren’t disappointed.
My family prefers this restaurant for Happy Hour rather than dinner as their Mezze are better than their entrees. The Bottomless Humus and pita bread are winners and we've been going for years to Happy Hour.
Lebanese Taverna is delicious. Not sure the Pentagon City location is my favorite, but the food is always wonderful. You simply can’t beat their fresh, warm pitas to start off your meal.
Excellent place for dinner, staff is attentive and does a great job!
I was really excited to come to Lebanese Taverna for dinner after I came across videos of the owner discussing Whole30 options at the restaurant. With several to choose from, I decided to go with the beet salad with salmon (minus the cheese). Perhaps I had spent all day building up this beautiful Whole30-compliant dinner option in my head, but once it arrived, I found myself disappointed. Maybe it was because I found the name "beet salad" misleading with the four measly chunks of beets spread out over an enormous bed of arugula (maybe rethink the name to something like "Arugula Salad with Beets"?). Maybe it was because there were no pomegranate seeds (only offered seasonally). Maybe it was because my salad arrived without the pine nuts the menu promised--and ultimately ended up being a kind of sad plate featuring a bunch of arugula, a couple of beets, and a decent sized piece of salmon. However, once we got the pine nut situation squared away, the food was actually quite delicious, the salmon was perfectly cooked, and I ended up cleaning my plate.
Food and service was perfect. Environment was calming.
Always a fantastic meal.
