Lebanese Taverna - Pentagon Row
Restaurant closed due to snow, but gave no notice. No phone call, no email, no sign on the door. We showed up, and they were just closed. Very disappointed.
Went there on time with my guests ..and found out the place was closed (propably due to inclement weather) with no prior notification...communication or anything!!! Was so disappointed and had to apologize to my guests whom we just picked from the airport! We ended up eating at the nearest open restaurant. This was not really acceptable!
We were very excited to find this restaurant very close to our hotel, the Ritz Carlton, and the food was delightful. Our waitress was quick, offered suggestions, and a very good server. We would definitely go back here again the next time we are in Arlington.
Wonderful experience as always. Great food, service, cocktails, ambiance. We will be back again!
My reservation could not be found but I was seated immediately while I waited for my friend. I tried the chicken schwarma salad which was copious but tasted similar to a Caesar salad. My friend’s salmon salad was delicious! Our goal was to avoid eating the bread which is really very good here. We succeeded and left feeling quite satisfied with our selections.
Been to the location in Baltimore and the cafe in Annapolis too. Food is always great if you're looking for something a bit out of the ordinary.
The food at this location is always good. On my most recent visit I had the shrimp kabob for the first time. The shrimp were huge, and the dish was cooked perfectly. My companion, as usual, had the vegetarian combo, which she always enjoys.
We hadn't been to Lebanese Taverna for awhile - so it was great to stop in on a Friday after an appointment. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Service friendly and attentive. We missed happy hour which is also a great deal. Lots of parking. Close to the Pentagon City mall.
Great afternoon at Lebanese taverna. Good service and food. Will definitely return
Food was delicious as always!! From maza menu I had the roasted lamb and baba ghanouj dish- so so good and the tabouli was very good too. My companion had the tavern sampler and was very pleased too. We finished with Turkish coffee- yum. Service was good - very responsive but not pestering.
We went with my wife after a while and happy to find that food is still very good. We asked for the chef platter and have very diverse tasty entrees. Delicious !
Great food and service. Only issue was they were not tracking reservations at this location in Pentagon Row through OpenTable. Despite that, we were still able to get a table for seven quickly.
Met a very good friend from DC for a very good lunch
Gathering of professional group
The food was great, and we tried some Lebanese wine, which was also good. I was dining with a friend I had not seen in years, so it was nice to be able to sit and talk without feeling rushed.
Amazing meal. The food preparation was exceptional. First class. We will be back.
Kamal was wonderful. Very helpful explaining the different dishes. Very attentive 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤗🤗🤗
Wonderful treat for dinner while we were visiting family in VA! There were several delicious vegetarian main dish options as well the yummiest lamb preparations for the rest of us meat-eaters (the lamb shank was SO tender!)! But we could have been easily satisfied with the portions of appetizers--we ordered the Watermelon Salad (omgosh--goat cheese and basil? Brilliant!), falafel, and the incredible Lebanese Moussaka. The bread is amazing and the service quick and attentive. It was a little noisy, but I think that was because we had two rather loud groups of ladies on either side of us. Otherwise, it was totally worth every penny we spent.
Food and service is excellent. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful place to spend time over an excellent casual dinner with friends.
I really enjoy the food here. I don't think I have ever been disappointed.
I wouldn't order the sangria. Definitely more of a "Spanish" thing. It was just okay and there was barely any fruit. In fact, they ran out of fruit. But, all in all, the hummus and other Lebanese dishes were delish!
Unfortunately I received a call midday telling me that they could not honor the reservation for 11 people that evening because the place had been rented out. I asked if they could change my reservation to another location for me and they said no, but I could try to do so on my own. No thanks.
Everything was great. The only bad thing was the food came out slowly. The waitress was awesome, it was just the food came out too slow. Thanks!
Taverna is always good. The waitress was timely and pleasant, the food was very tasty, and the price was fair. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and the music from the Army band; Pentagon Row has concerts in the courtyard every Thursday evening, so it’s a great night out. Highly recommend Taverna; one of the top restaurants in Arlington.
Great server! So attentive and kind!
The best thing about this establishement, with its several locations, is the food. Good quality, consistent, and tasty. The Pentagon Row location is relatively small and too loud, busy, and messy. Not indusive for a quiet conversation, especially on Friday evening when we went.
We have been many times, I don't know if they changed chef's, owner, but the food was terrible. Vry disappointed....
Great Middle Eastern fare. The food is excellent and authentic. The atmosphere is relaxed and a great place for friends to meet or to take business associates for a unique dining experience.
Ordered the platters as entries. Great way to try multiple different items and find your favorites.
We had a nice meal. The server was a little off (pouring water into one of the sprite drinks) but overall it was fine.
Many years ago we were always excited to visit DC because our favorite Lebanese restaurant was the LT. The tastes just exploded in your mouth! We ate at the original location back in December and were disappointed in both the reduction in menu items and the quality of food. We were here again in July and thought we'd give the Crystal City location a try since we really love good middle eastern food. Again we were very disappointed in the quality of the food. I guess the LT has grown so much that the attention to the wonderful food they used to serve has forever waned. Sad!
The host would not seat my guest because I was running late which was disconcerting.
We had a fantastic meal. Everyone, including the 3 kids in our group loved the food. Service was very good. A+
The food was wonderful. We got both of the combo plates, and they were both amazing.
Love this restaurant. The food is always amazing and the staff couldn't be nicer! One of our favorites!!
Some restaurants don’t have their “A” team on Sunday evenings. Not true in this restaurant - food and service all 1st rate. Large portions - had to take a lot home.
First place we often visit after a 3 hour drive toDC. Mouthwatering all the way there. Never disappoints us. Friendly welcome, always fresh, flavorful, and more than adequate portions. Been eating there for years and look forward to our next visit.
Wonderful food and service.
Looking 3to dining here again soonest.
Wonderful food & service--just a little too loud in restaurant to hear our group easily. Salmon platter, falafel, lentil soup, hommus tray were all delicious. Sampler appetizer not so good for a group, as there was a single falafel or 3 grape leaves, etc--but delicious.
The food was great as always. The host was a little gruff but the server was very kind and friendly.
