We have NEVER been disappointed at Le Yaca. A snowy Sunday brunch and again everything was absolutely perfect.Sunday brunch 4 course menu is an absolute steal for the quality of food and service. Had Eggs Benedict duo.Excellent . Followed by an amazing chocolate desert. Piles of warm fresh bad bread and pain au cho.Cant waits for our next visit.
Le Yaca didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Le Yaca is hands down the best restaurant in the Williamsburg area. The food is superb, well prepared and delicious. The waiters actually know their jobs...a rarity in today's world. You can be safe bringing your boss or a good friend. They will not be disappointed.
As always, we're never disappointed with Le Yaca. This was the first time I had eaten lunch there. (We usually have dinner.)
Four did a holiday lunch and it was wonderful,as always. We had the leg of lamb special and delicious.
Meals and service were excellent. Each one enjoyed our experience very much.
The food, atmosphere and staff were all wonderful!
La Yaca was excellent! My favorite Williamsburg spot so far.
Always happy with our meals and service there.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Excellent service but took it down one star because it took forever to get our check. A wonderful special occasion restaurant and we always visit once a year on our trip to Williamsburg. I highly recommend any of their soups. Today the soup was cream of fennel and it was fantastic.
We had a nice time with Friends! Brie treated us very well.
Everything about this dining experience exceeded my expectations. I had the 4 course Sunday brunch which is a tremendous value. I enjoyed a well crafted Kir Royale followed by the soup du jour, a fennel soup. So delicious. The salmon I ordered was a generous portion and done to perfection. As a big treat for the sweets part of the meal, since it was a special occasion, I ordered the Gran Marnier soufflé which was beautiful as well as scrumptious. But it was the service that will bring me back next time I am in Williamsburg as our waiter was attentive without hovering and as pleasant and interesting as could be, sharing tidbits about the restaurant and himself. It has been a few years since we have been to La Yaca and the new location is simple and elegant and I love that there are multiple dining areas making it feel like a cozy neighborhood spot.
Food was very good. Overall service was vary bad.
The food and service were excellent!
We visit Williamsburg twice a year for a week each time and usually dine at Le Yaca twice on each visit. We like everything about it—food, service, atmosphere and prices. The three-course price fixed menu at $37 is a very good deal compared to other fine restaurants because the selections are so nice and the quality of the offerings is so high. It’s our second favorite place to eat in Williamsburg behind A Chef’s Kitchen which is in a league of it’s own but much more expensive and nearly impossible to get into.
Our annual trip to Williamsburg would not be complete without dinner at La Yaca. Always a high spot. It meets all the marks for good service and an excellent meal. The price fixed menu is a great deal but very often there is something on the regular menu I can’t resist!! We will be back. Highly recommended!!
Quiet, comfortable restaurant with plenty of delicious food choices. Service was amazing, if you go, ask for Maksym, he was friendly, efficient and very helpful. We travel down to Williamsburg frequently and will certainly look forward to stopping in on our next visit.
received a complimentary desert and toast
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. It’s always worth the drive and never disappoints.
One of our party was very late and the staff was very accommodating and kind. The food was excellent, as usual. I wish to thank them for their patience and good attitude. This is just one of the reasons LeYaca is our "go to" place all year long.
Our waitress Victoria was outstanding as was the food. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.
Overall, my experience at Le Yaca was very good after a very poor start. After I was seated, I picked up my napkin to place in my lap. I was startled and disappointed to note leftover food on the saucer my napkin was resting on. The food was not hardened as if it had been left by the dishwasher. It looked as though the saucer/food never made it to the kitchen. When I showed my server the offending mess, he apologized, removed the dish and brought a new napkin (I think). Clearly, whoever placed the napkin on the dish could have seen the food but chose to ignore it.
Love the lunch special! The food is always good & a real treat!
Wonderful anniversary celebration. Good and service was outstanding!
We celebrated our son's wedding at Le Yaca. It was the first time for one of the couples and they were so impressed. The atmosphere, service and delicious food were top rate as always. Thank you for making a memorable day end on such a high note!
First time visiting and will definitely return! Food was delicious and our service was outstanding!! Our waiter Max was so friendly, we stayed and chatted awhile after our meal and he never made us feel rushed. Great date night place!
Outstanding as usual. This is THE place to go for that Special Occasion
We went to Le Yaca after an absence of six years. This was the first time my husband had been to the new location. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We had a lovely table in a small section of the restaurant, with only about five tables. It was a rainy, windy and chilly evening and the room was cozy and warm. Our server and the other servers were attentive and polite. The food was absolutely first-rate. I had the scallops with lentils and my husband enjoyed the Sole meuinere. I tried a new wine of the Sauvignon-Viognier grape variety and it was perfect to accompany the scallops. It was a superb dining experience and we hope to return way sooner than six years and take advantage of the Bar menu.
This restaurant was excellent. The food was perfectly prepared. The shrimp was tender The beef was well seasoned, trimmed and the cook was spot on. The crab cakes were full of large lumps of crab.
I have been going to a lot of the nicer restaurants in Williamsburg and have found most to be lacking in some respects. This restaurant did not disappoint at all and the pre fixe menu was actually a bargain. I can’t wait to go back here.
Our waiter Max was awesome!
This was our first time visiting and would recommend Le Yaca as a "must try". We had an excellent meal! Service was outstanding. Wait staff was attentive, courteous, and pleasantly professional. Ambience was nice and upscale.
Good food and wine list. They need to work on their timing between drinks and food. Before dinner drinks came after appetizers and wine came after main course.
We haven’t been to Le Yaca since it moved a few years ago. It used to be quite an experience. The place was nice and somewhat inviting but the staff, en general, was a bit out of touch with the needs of the patrons. A little “French aloof” is fine but theirs came off a bit uneducated. The best part of the meal was the crab. The worst part was the dessert! I know, in a French restaurant! We ordered creme brûlée and, after a few minutes, the manager or owner (I really don’t know which) came and told us they were out of brûlée. He was so smug and acted as if we did something wrong. So disappointing.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner at Le Yaca. It was wonderful
Thanksgiving at Le Yaca is a tradition for us. We love it all year round but being just me and Dad, it's such a nice place to celebrate the holiday. The food is always excellent. Dad enjoys the lamb that is always cooked to perfection. We are also big fans of the seafood. The souffle are a must try. The creme brulee is also fabulous. Service is flawless. Servers are so sweet and thoughtful.
Enjoyable birthday lunch!
We were greeted warmly at the front door and taken to our table.
We assumed we'd need to pay corkage for the wine we brought, but it was never mentioned. (They charge $30).
The menus are heavy binders with pages encased in plastic, which I found slightly off putting. The menu follows the tired tradition of using French names (in all caps, of course), generally followed by a translation.
"LA SOUPE DU JOUR 7
Soup of the day."
Nothing is gained by writing your menu this way. The descriptions are adjective heavy, which is also unnecessary. I assume your fish and herbs are fresh, I don't need you to clarify fact by writing "fresh Scottish salmon with fresh herbs." Asterisks and quotation marks were also overused.
Decor and ambiance were pleasant if uninspired. Stemware was disappointing. They appeared to be Libbey 7516's, a sturdy glass with a particularly thick rim. They're 12.5 oz glasses, which doesn't leave a lot of room to swirl. Riedel has a restaurant line available that would be a welcome change.
My tuna was adequate. My wife was disappointed by her foie gras. An abundance of sweet sauce eliminated the crust from the sear. For $27 it was lackluster.
We both ordered steak. Temperatures we excellent, potatoes were wonderfully crispy. Presentation was what one would expect from a recent culinary school grad. Both were accompanied by a ramekin of what appeared to be roasted mixed vegetables. They were dreadful, easily the worst part of the meal.
For dessert we ordered LA SYMPHONIE (all caps- why?), which includes small portions of several different items. It was absolutely fabulous. Easily the best part of the meal and one of the best desserts either of us can recall eating in the last decade. A+.
Service was pleasant and efficient, our waiter spilled our water on me at the end of the meal, but mistakes happen.
Overall Le Yaca felt like a restaurant run by a recent culinary school graduate. Adequate but sterile. May revisit eventually.
We have visited Le Yaca several times for dinner and the food is consistently wonderfully prepared, very fresh and from appetizer to dessert excellent.
When I made the reservation for Brunch on a Sunday to celebrate a wedding anniversary, I requested a quiet area in the restaurant preferrably against a wall. My request was granted and I really appreciated that. The food, service, ambiance was outstanding. I highly recommend Le Yaca as an upscale restaurant experience.
