What a great restaurant. I brought my wife here to celebrate our anniversary and she loved it. The food, the crackling fire, the warm conversation from a man with a French accent. It was positive experience and we look forward to going back.
We celebrated our anniversary here. The staff was great, the food and service was fabulous. We plan on going again for my birthday.
Excellent menu and attentive wait staff. Best overall in Williamsburg
Le Yaca will not disappoint!
Outstanding food, service and ambiance
Disappointing food. This is the third visit and 2 have been disappointing.
It was my birthday and the meal was OUTSTANDING! Mihn is ALWAYS a wonderful waiter!
This is the best restaurant in Williamsburg by a wide margin.
The dining room is upscale and comfortable.
The service is proper and personable.
The lobster is perfectly cooked every time and the surf & turf doesn’t say Market Price (just $47 including app & Dessert!)
I can't think of a restaurant that I'd call its equal. For more than a decade we've reserved when in town.
Surprisingly poor waiter. One would expect this restaurant to train its staff.
Food was an attempt, but did not quite get there. Dessert was star of the meal. Wine was good.
Dinner was delicious. The 3 course pre-fixed option is a great deal. Truly a meal to remember.
THIS RESTAURANT IS THE VERY BEST IN FRENCH CUISINE......THE SERVICE ...THE FOOD ...THE PEOPLE.....EVERYTHING IS FIVE STAR RATED.....IF FRENCH CUISINE IS WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR ....THIS IS THE PLACE.....THE WINE SELECTION IS A TRUE DELIGHT........FOR A ROMANTIC SPECIAL OCCASION ....THIS IS IT.....
Excellent food, drink, and customer service. Always top-notch.
Great place to celebrate a friend’s b-day!
Food was delicious - escargot just like my mother’s (French) . I had the rockfish for my entree that was perfection. Soufflé large enough to split. Perfect evening .
Have been eating at LaYaca for 30 yrs. and feel the quality of the dishes has gone to mediocre. Will not come back for a while.
The lamb hanging and cooking over the fire was dry and tough. Could not eat most of it.
Salmon was also mediocre. Such a disappointment after our love of LaYaca for so long.
It was our anniversary and we were treated to a very special dinner experience!
Overall, a very nice experience. One complaint is that the table was quite cramped for six people . We had to move things around a lot to make room for bread, water, etc.
Great French lunch specials at a reasonable price. Fish of the da a real treat.
Our dinner experience was throughly enjoyable. We hope to be back soon.
Service was exceptional!! We had choices from the fixed price menu.
For about the fifteenth year, my husband and I were at Le Yaca to celebrate my birthday. We have always enjoyed the restaurant and particularly enjoyed meeting "Madame" on many occasions in the former location. This year, we had an unpleasant surprise at the end of our meal that some will think is silly...but it happened. Our waitress asked if it were a birthday celebration and we answered, "Yes. " and explained that we had celebrated many times there and always enjoyed the food, etc. Two other tables had diners celebrating birthdays and they both received their dessert with a lighted candle and a little chocolate 'happy birthday' tile. I had ordered crème brule for dessert and when it arrived, it didn't even have the customary dollop of whipped cream, raspberry and mint leaf adornment--just plain, plunked down unceremoniously. I'll probably survive this (boohoo) but it was so unusual from the way we'd formerly been treated??? Service during the meal was sub-par--unusual for this fine restaurant.
some of the food was too salty...should have low salt versions of of the dinner items
The most AMAZING dining experience my husband and I have ever had! From the exceptional wait staff to the delicious and creative meal provided by the chef....it was the best evening out we've ever had in our life! We will be back every time we come to Williamsburg!
We had a lovely meal for our Anniversary dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was perfect. I must say,on a whim I ordered 2 desserts, of course a delicious chocolate cake but the trio of sorbet sounded good as well so I got that too. The sorbet was amazing and actually makes an excellent palate cleanser to cut the ultra rich French food. My only complaint would be for a romantic dinner we were seated in the very front of the restaurant all the way over by a window. It was quite chilly that night and the window seat was quite cold. And normally high end restaurants recognize a "special occasion" and this one did not.
Better than best. We visited LaYaca to celebrate my husband and his twin's birthday.
Minh was a suberb waiter, so friendly, knowledgeable and anticipated our needs. Service was excellent.
Our dinners were luscious and beautifully presented.
All combined for a special evening.
Best in Williamsburg. ALWAYS on point and actually priced well
Another wonderful birthday lunch at Le Yaca. Four of dined and had great food and great service. They made the birthday girl feel special. Three of us petit filet and the other fresh fish. All enjoyed their food.
The food was amazing and our server was very helpful guiding us with the menu. The place is a little bit louder but, beside that everything else was great.
Was recommended by a old friend from France. Was a wonderful evening out with the family.
We used to love La Yacca. It would be the high point of a visit to Williamsburg. Since they moved, it hasn’t been the same. The bar service is horrible and it was the last time we went as well. We ordered 2 martinis, once the server took our order. She put that in, and came back for our food order. As we waited for our drinks, up came our soup appetizers. One simply doesn’t drink a dry martini with hot soup. Also, my husband ordered his extra dry with a lemon twist and it arrived with olives. The point of a martini is to relax and get ready for the meal. This is a fine dining restaurant! The rest of the meal was unexceptionable except for the desserts, which were wonderful. We won’t go back again.
Was at a very nice table in the Center dining room. But, the noise level was much higher than usual due to a large table of young women.
This is a lovely luxury restaurant, eager to please
My only complaint was the otherwisebrilkiant onion soup was not hot. Could have sent back and they would have scrambled to correct, but time was short. So minor in the face of such excellence
We have dined at LeYaca many times over the past few years. Each time the experience is better than the last (even when we can't think of a way it could get better!). The food is outstanding, the ambiance is perfect, and the service is and exceptional. In an ever changing world of dining options, it is the "go to" establishment for a memorable and personalized dining experience ... time after time after time.
My favorite restaurant. A delicious smell hits you when you walk in the door. Original menu, excellent taste and superb food presentation. Professional waitstaff.
This was our very first time at Le Yaca. We had heard great things about it and so our expectations were high. Our first impression was of the ambiance which was great. Our server and other staff who helped were also great. We ordered our drinks and our first course which was a salad for myself and soup for my husband. The first course came almost immediately after our drinks. Since it was salad and soup and not an appetizer , we felt we should have been given more time to enjoy our drinks before it was served. The soup was not hot. Our entrees were beautifully presented and good , not special, but came to us luke warm at best. This was very disappointing. We each ordered one of the 3 course fixed price meals and suspect our dinners were not freshly prepared individually for us. We will go again and hope for a better experience with the food. Until then we can't recommend it.
As always we were very pleased with everything! Made our Mom's 80th birthday very special.
We love the ambience and exceptional food served beautifully. One of our favorites in Williamsburg! Perfect for my birthday celebration.
As usual, food and service were outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner and fine french cuisine with service to match.
My friends and I had a wonderful lunch. I've eaten there before and would highly recommend Le Yaca for the food and the atmosphere We were able to sit and talk and did not feelrushed.
