There was nothing about which to complain, the food and service were excellent
I was seated and no one waited on my for over 10 min. I don’t think the server knew I was seated. I feel the hostess should of notified the server that he had a table waiting. I had to call from my phone and asked for the waiter. But once he realized I was there dinner was great.
We went there for my wife's birthday and were blown away with the service and the food. Everything was perfect from the cocktails and appetizers to the desserts. They even presented my wife with a little sorbet/berry/chocolate treat for her birthday. We will definitely be back.
While in Williamsburg with friends, we celebrated my birthday ay La Yaca. The service from the second we walked in was superb. Our server, Gayle had a superior knowledge of the menu, was very interactive with our group, and had a great sense of humor. We loved having her as our server. The meal was excellent, dessert oh-so-good, and the overall experience was devine. We will definitely be back and I will be asked to be seated in Gayle’s area.
My husband and I dined at Le Yaca during our brief visit to Williamsburg. The five course Chef's Tasting menu and onion soup were wonderful! We definitely recommend if you want a change from average cuisine or just to have a laid back dining experience that is absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back when we return to the area!
My parents were moving from Williamsburg after living their for 30 years. When we asked them where to go on their last night the response immediately was Le Yaca. Le Yaca has always been one of their favorites. Menu is unique and all preparations are superb. I also appreciate their wine list and the availability of carafe's instead of just per glass and bottles. Sorry we won't be travelling as much to Billburg and will miss Le Yaca.
Everything was excellent, except Le Porc was a bit salty this time.
Excellent food and service...beautifully decorated...convenient parking!
We were in Williamsburg for the weekend and tried Le Yaka. Great choice. I’d recommend it to anyone.
Experience started out so-so. Our table wasn’t ready at our reservation time, it took about 10-15 minutes for a server to approach our table, we didn’t receive bread like all of the other tables around us and our wine that was ordered before our meals didn’t arrive until after we had finished our first course. But our server was endearing and grew on us, really a sweet guy, and the food was excellent so the night definitely got better.
We were a little rushed, so I don’t feel like we got to enjoy the full experience, but I was still impressed with their service and the food. The wait staff was attentive and very professional. We will definitely return when we aren’t so rushed.
Great service and combined with wine selection and good food. Ambiance was conducive to conversation.
Service and food is always superb!
It was wonderful, as usual. It’s always a great place to introduce to special friends. Food and service couldn’t be better!
Visiting Williamsburg VA and it was recommended. So good we went back the next day again.
I live in Williamsburg and treat myself to Le Yaca's at least once a month. Why? It is clearly, by far, the best restaurant in Williamsburg. I've eaten in almost every state in the U.S. and almost all of the European countries as well the Southern cone of South American, Australia and Asia. I know of which I speak... Le Yaca would be a treat in any of those other places.
Excellent food, great selections, and fabulous desserts
The food was wonderful and our waiter David was very good and suggested a great wine.
The service was the most standout part of the evening. The food was very good, lacked a bit of the flair expected in the competitive realm of French cuisine. Desserts exceeded expectations; so good we ordered a third just to try it! Pace was a bit fast for french fare, but spaced well. Wine list was impressive with a ample array. The facility was in good consition with a well working and elegant bathroom. The lighting was set to the perfect balance of visibility and ambience. This is a worthy restaurant for Williamsburg.
The Chef’s tasting menu, paired with wines, was awesome. It’s a bit expensive, but close to what I’ve seen in other places. A fantastic food and wine experience.
Consistently exceptional food with amazing service. Always a memorable experience.
We all loved the house onion soup and salad. I am eager for the recipes to recreate the memory at home. The escargot was perfectly prepared with the balance of garlic parsley and butter. My sons lobster tail was tender and delicious. “It was not exceptional but amazing. No one could make it better.” The sole was divine. The steak au poirve was prepared with a perfect crisp crust of pepper. We would return often if we lived nearby.
We celebrated my birthday today. It is my favorite restaurant and it did not disappoint. I had the 3 course dinner of lobster and crab cake. The lobster was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The crab cake which is my usual entree was wonderful-best crab cake ever!!my husband had the special of flounder with crabmeat and it was perfectly done also-huge lumps of crab. This restaurant is first class quality on every level. It is consistently wonderful and we always enjoy it. The service is superb.
We had a wonderful dinner at Le Yaca in Williamsburg while on vacation. It was one of the best meals we've ever had! Our waiter, David made it even more memorable with his spot on menu suggestions. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.
As usual everything was impeccable.
Fabulous Easter dinner. Everything was superb! - although far richer than I am used to. The service was great, the selection was great(your choice of about 6-7 entrees and 3 deserts), the ambience was great, and, of course, the cooking was great . It was probably the most expensive fixed-price meal you'll find in Williamsburg ($60./head) - but out of this world good.
Our favorite restaurant for over 20 years. Never disappointed in the food or service.
Excellent service and amazing food!
We enjoyed the comfort of the place. We were there for the Easter Brunch. The selection choices was perfect, and consequently the food was delicious. Service was excellent.
I have eaten here many times everything I have had is always wonderful!!!
Be sure to order soufflé for desert.
Excellent dinner. The Butternut Squash soup was wonderful, as was the salad. Nice atmosphere with multiple, smaller dining areas. Service attentive without being overly present at meal. Would recommend for any special occasion or date night.
Outstanding French cuisine. We both had the price fix lunch. Lovely salad with grapes and a fabulous pureed onion soup. Entrees were Coquilles Saint Joques over risotto with chopped vegetables and beef filet, both excellent. Dessert was tiramisu and profiterol. Fabulous. Service was attentive, food coming from kitchen was slower paced. We were in no rush, so it suited us just fine and we enjoyed our time there.
We were frankly surprised, in the end, at the high price on our tab. It was our own fault for not examining more carefully what the prices were. Having said that, Le Yaca is NOT a "bargain basement" restaurant, but is a great choice for any special occasion.
We went to Le Yaca for our anniversary dinner and were completely overjoyed with the experience. Our server Charles was great, offering suggestions when requested and making sure the experience was divine.
We chose from the three course prix fixe menu which had a large number of great choices. I had a special of leg of lamb cooked over an open fire, delicious and smoky. Gail had the petite filet mignon (not small) and lobster tail. We shared a souffle as one of the desserts and this is not to be missed. The flour-less chocolate cake was also wonderful. We found the wine selection to be fairly priced and ample choices (we had a Willamette Pinot Noir).
I recommend this restaurant for any special occasions or just for a great, great meal.
Fantastic food and excellent servcie. Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. Great value for the food you are receiving and they are very accomodating with allergies. We have a gluten allergy (celiac) and their menu was marked GF and they were willing to double check and take precautions for cross contamination.
I have never walked out of a restaurant before, but we did this evening before our entrees arrived. We sat down at 6:30 and at
8:30 we inquired about our entrees, and they proceeded to bring us out a complementary sorbet course to cleanse our pallet. No apology, but it was apparent our server screwed up, and the immature hostess at the front didn’t even seem to care. Their sparce wine list had only 1 bottle left of what we ordered, and no Samellier to even apologize and offer another suggestion. Overall, the service and care does not even come close to the level of fine dining they profess. Avoid, stay away, and do not waste your money. There are much better restaurants in Williamsburg that actually take pride and care for their guests.
The food was excellent but the service needs some work.
We had before dinner drinks, there was not enough check back to see if we wanted wine with dinner. I had four grad as an appetizer and an offer of a Sauternes of Sparking wine served with it would be nice. When the main course came we had to wait about 2 minutes for silverware to be reset. The wait staff needs to have a better idea of use of their mise en plas and the placement of needed silverware. A minor point when a guest goes to the rest rooms a quick fold of the napkin and putting nearly in place would be a great example of good table maintenance.
The addition of the wine and better service would enhance the experience and also raise the waiters tips.
Food was outstanding; the waitress was outstanding - a lovely experience to celebrate an anniversary.
This was a special night for my wife's 65th birthday. She had no idea her three children and spouses were joining us and the staff pulled it off flawlessly. The staff were so accommodating, the service was excellent, the food was superb and the night absolutely wonderful. We've been to Le Yaca several times before and the food is always fantastic. The wine list was extensive but not expensive and our waiter was very good at recommending good choices based on our preferences. Best French restaurant in the Williamsburg/Richmond area.
