We were delighted with our dining experience. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years, and although it has changed hands the overall quality has not suffered.

My husband and I love Le Vieux Logis. The food, service and ambiance are always good. This past Saturday was no exception. My husband had the fried oysters and the lobster fricassee and I had the duck terrine and the red snapper. All of the food was delicious! It was a warm and cozy meal on a cold night - perfect!

My husband and I dined here with my 89 year old father-in-law. It was very easily accessible for a walker or wheelchair. The ambiance was very sweet and cozy. The staff were very attentive, polite and caring. Very old school charm. The food was deliscious. I loved that there was parking available. I appreciated the coat check. I give it 4.5 stars...

Excellent French restaurant. Best onion soup in the city. I have been taking my grandchildren (they are well-behaved) there for years and they now love French food (escargots!).

Great hospitality from everyone from start to finish. Quiet and comfortable. You don't have to yell when having a conversation. Food was good along with a good wine selection. A little expensive. Seem to have a lot of regulars.
Will go again, enjoyed the experience.

The food was excellent. However, our waitress never smiled. The woman manager was friendly and organized. It is a wonderful charming country French restaurant . Try the pate for an appetizer. The liver and snapper entrees are fabulous.

It was my birthday and since my husband is a rather picky eater, I checked out Le Vieux Logis and noted they have the real Dover sole. That was a sure hit for my husband. The food is excellent and very authentically French.

Nice evening out with a few quite good dishes. We were upset that the staff told us that they could accommodate someone in a wheelchair. While it is possible to get in the restaurant, the bathroom is tiny, reached through an awkward narrow hallway and not accessible. If someone goes to the trouble to call and ask you about accessibility, please don’t mislead them.

They offer a special dinner for Thanksgiving, with 4 entrees and similar numbers of appetizers and desserts. Each dish is well presented and prepared, something we've grown to expect at this restaurant.

The sole was massively over cooked.
We politely asked them to take it back. The waiter came back and told us that the chef was insisting that it was “perfect”! We said we weren’t going to eat it anyways. Then they took about 30 minutes to bring one dessert out and we’re rude about it. Never going back here.

We had an excellent meal consisting of fish, salad and dessert, they had excellent wines by the glass, the service was spotty perhaps it was an off night. The place is comfortable and calm.

This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with authentic French food. The food is creative and delicious. This most recent visit was unfortunate in that our server was not very good. But overall this is a place to go for a great meal.

This restaurant has been around almost 40 years & has a new owner for the past 4. He has brought great life to the menu. I feel like I am back in France with every bite. Just wonderful!!

A LOVELY EXPERIENCE WITH DELICIOUS FRENCH FOOD. WE ENJOYED A INTIMATE MEAL BUILT AROUND THE CLASSICS OF FRENCH CUISINE IN A VERY ROMANTIC ENVIRONMENT - IT COULD HAVE BEEN IN ANY PART OF FRANCE.

Haven't been there in years! It was good but not great considering the price. The presentation disguised the mediocrity of the food. Our waiter was very nice, he was training a young lady & was very patient with her, she was very attentive.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary expecting solid food plus good service and value and our expectations were surpassed on all fronts. We had the fixed price meal and were able to sample each others selections. Not one bad dish in the lot. The waiter was highly professional and confidently recommended a Bordeaux which added to the excellent experience The clientele were older and the ambience was perhaps a bit too sedate for my liking-- quite old school and fitting the name re an established inn. We could have been in the south of France in many respects. Not a place to find an edgy experience, but more a solid place to eat wonderful food in a comfortable classic environment.

We moved from the area almost 20 years ago and this was a return visit while in Bethesda. Found the food, atmosphere, and service were as solid as ever. This time my wife and I were part of the grey-haired clientele that we used to comment about when we dined their. Classic food that I hope never goes out of style!

Enjoyed our meal until the end when my husband bit into a little metallic/wiry piece of something, possibly from those curly steel scouring pad. Service was very good and the manager was apologetic and offered us free dessert for next time. We won't be going back, just not the same after that.

The restaurant is small but very charming. They sat us right away and we had appetizers and wine. The food was nicely prepared and delicious for French cuisine. At the end the noise level got little loud only because it was special restaurant week. Enjoyed evening very much and would recommend to friends who like French cusisine.

We've been a number of times thru the years for special occasions(birthdays, anniversaries). Was sad to see the change in ownership. Only noticeable change was the amount of tchotchkes collected over the years in the dining room. The new owner has maintained the overall quality & ambiance. Food has always been good. Menu has been paired down a little without any loss of quality. Service was impeccable. Our waiter seems to have been there forever. Definitely worth a return visit.
