Happy Mother's Day!

We ordered from the prefix menu and every thing was tasty, well prepared, and well worth the price.
This was my second holiday visit in as many years, and while some staff has changed, the food and service were still superb. The atmosphere is quiet and the clientele is generally older. We enjoyed the pork shanks, the crispy duck orange, and the sole meuniere as well as hearty onion soups and delicious and decadent desserts. The staff is quietly attentive and thankfully does not question if you are enjoying your meal - it goes without saying that you are!
Only complaint was fixed price menu was priced at $68 per person, which we thought was a bit pricey.
We hadn't been there in years. It was better than I remembered it before, the dining room, although full, was pleasantly quiet, the service was excellent. The food was great, especially the Lobster Bisque. I wish they would pay slightly closer attention to the request for "low salt" on the entrees, but other than that, it was really great and we will return soon!
We had the Prix Fixe lunch and were very satisfied. There were several choices and we made different selections. Each of the courses were nicely prepared, and nicely flavored or spiced, so the kitchen did an overall good job and produced a very satisfying meal and was great value for money.
Traditional French cooking and service. The food is excellent -- and the staff is outstanding. I always feed special when I go to this restaurant. In addition to the regular menu there is a prix fixe menu and a daily special menu.
Whether it is a celebration or just an evening to treat yourself well, this is the place to go.
Exquisite and authentic French food! Service was slow, but the quality of the food made everything worth waiting for. Good wine list.
We have dined here since 1980 and through several changes in ownership. The decor is lovely, the tables are widely spaced and the formal white table cloth settings set the proper tone.
The food is classically French and well done. The boudin blanc and the choucroute are wonderful winter meals. The duck confit was excellent, but the lobster bisque was bland. The desserts are very appealing and done with real artistry.
The service was attentive but not intrusive. It was so nice to dine in a refined location where one could have a quiet conversation with table partners.
A disappointment. Salmon was almost inedible. Salmon! Hard to ruin! Almost impossible to get the bill after 2 hours at restaurant. Even after we pointed out that our parking meter was about to expire. Prices far too high for mediocre quality.
Delicious butternut soup with mushrooms and delectable chicken, seasoned to pass Tom Sietsima's palate!
This is an old gem hidden in an old neighborhood. Authentic French cooking with an old French decor. Love all the dishes that include from appetizer to dessert. The fixed price lunch and dinner is worth trying. Happy to have found a neat French restaurant nearby and will revisit this quaint place again.
We were delighted with our dining experience. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years, and although it has changed hands the overall quality has not suffered.
My husband and I love Le Vieux Logis. The food, service and ambiance are always good. This past Saturday was no exception. My husband had the fried oysters and the lobster fricassee and I had the duck terrine and the red snapper. All of the food was delicious! It was a warm and cozy meal on a cold night - perfect!
My husband and I dined here with my 89 year old father-in-law. It was very easily accessible for a walker or wheelchair. The ambiance was very sweet and cozy. The staff were very attentive, polite and caring. Very old school charm. The food was deliscious. I loved that there was parking available. I appreciated the coat check. I give it 4.5 stars...
Excellent French restaurant. Best onion soup in the city. I have been taking my grandchildren (they are well-behaved) there for years and they now love French food (escargots!).
Great hospitality from everyone from start to finish. Quiet and comfortable. You don't have to yell when having a conversation. Food was good along with a good wine selection. A little expensive. Seem to have a lot of regulars.
Will go again, enjoyed the experience.
The food was excellent. However, our waitress never smiled. The woman manager was friendly and organized. It is a wonderful charming country French restaurant . Try the pate for an appetizer. The liver and snapper entrees are fabulous.
It was my birthday and since my husband is a rather picky eater, I checked out Le Vieux Logis and noted they have the real Dover sole. That was a sure hit for my husband. The food is excellent and very authentically French.
Nice evening out with a few quite good dishes. We were upset that the staff told us that they could accommodate someone in a wheelchair. While it is possible to get in the restaurant, the bathroom is tiny, reached through an awkward narrow hallway and not accessible. If someone goes to the trouble to call and ask you about accessibility, please don’t mislead them.
They offer a special dinner for Thanksgiving, with 4 entrees and similar numbers of appetizers and desserts. Each dish is well presented and prepared, something we've grown to expect at this restaurant.
The sole was massively over cooked.
We politely asked them to take it back. The waiter came back and told us that the chef was insisting that it was “perfect”! We said we weren’t going to eat it anyways. Then they took about 30 minutes to bring one dessert out and we’re rude about it. Never going back here.
One of our favorite French restaurants We like the ambiance and quietness of the space. Recommend. We requested our favorite table and it was ready when we arrived.
Wonderful meal, nice and quiet ambience, excellent staff, the Malvec was outstanding
Wonderful food that was perfectly prepared and tasted terrific. This is a great place for special occasions.
Expected us and were quite accommodating
We had an excellent meal consisting of fish, salad and dessert, they had excellent wines by the glass, the service was spotty perhaps it was an off night. The place is comfortable and calm.
Very good food and ambiance
Real french Chef!
Real french food
One of then oldest real french restaurant with no chichi.
I love real french food. The chef is a "real french chef".
This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with authentic French food. The food is creative and delicious. This most recent visit was unfortunate in that our server was not very good. But overall this is a place to go for a great meal.
A lovely evening with old friends in a nice quiet corner.
We always enjoy this restaurant and usually spend New Year's Eve here!
Innovative cuisine mixing some classical French recipe with an American touch here and there, beautiful result! Affordable wines, attentive service.
Overall a must in Bethesda!
This restaurant is a true gem. The chef's preparations and presentation are exquisite.
We absolutely love dining there and it always surpasses expectations. Highly recommend this restaurant!
This restaurant has been around almost 40 years & has a new owner for the past 4. He has brought great life to the menu. I feel like I am back in France with every bite. Just wonderful!!
A LOVELY EXPERIENCE WITH DELICIOUS FRENCH FOOD. WE ENJOYED A INTIMATE MEAL BUILT AROUND THE CLASSICS OF FRENCH CUISINE IN A VERY ROMANTIC ENVIRONMENT - IT COULD HAVE BEEN IN ANY PART OF FRANCE.
It was okay food so-so Service was nice and timely
Haven't been there in years! It was good but not great considering the price. The presentation disguised the mediocrity of the food. Our waiter was very nice, he was training a young lady & was very patient with her, she was very attentive.
Excellent classic French cuisine in a charming French bistro setting.
food was excellent - well prepared and hot when served; server was attentive yet not obtrusive
