The place to go for a great dining experience in the Palm Springs area.
Every course was beautifully served, wonderfully tasty and made from the best and freshest ingredients. Each course was a creation in it's own right. The stuffed pear appetizer was a taste sensation. And the sorbet trio desert was the best sorbet I've ever had and that includes lots of sorbet from France and the rest of Europe.
The service as always attentive and the whole staff is a pleasure to watch.
All are dressed to perfection -- with formal attire for the captains, dinner jackets for the waiters and chic striped aprons for the serving staff members. All of them operating as a practiced team.
Le Vallauris provides the best dining experience in the desert and probably one of the best in California.
We ate in the lovely garden setting. It is great for friendly conversation as it is quite. Food was outstanding and especially liked the fixed price brunch menu, with something for every taste. Service was very attentive. It is a place to go for an outstanding leisurely meal with friends or to celebrate a special occasion.
Wonderful food in a delightful atmosphere. Our table was in the patio as we requested. The service was very professional with no glitches or mistakes. Attentive without being fussy. We were surprised at the lack of service in the bar as we waited for our table. The matre de did get our drinks. The live music in the bar was very good.
Some of the negative reviews caused us to wait a long time before we tried Le Vallauris. That was a mistake. We dined there Feb 16 for dinner and were delighted. The warm ambiance, superb service and wonderfully presented food made for a great night. In my opinion this was our finest dinning experience in the Valley.
While the ambiance and service lived up to the many years of our experience of special events here the food was seriously below par. Our chief complaint was my wife’s Chilean Sea Bass. Actually the worst Chilean Sea Bass either of us ever tasted.
Quite simply Le Vallauris is one of our favorite restaurants in the world. The outdoor dining area is elegant, the menu is broad, the food perfectly prepared. The three course prix fixe lunch at $42 is a bargain.
This was a very busy evening with the Art Fair and Modernism Week .
The staff always handles the crowds and the stress very well.
Always a beautiful experience , wonderful food and a good wine list.
We do this every year.
this is One of my favorite restaurants in Palm Springs. Very nice staff. The food is very good.
Valentine’s pre-fixe dinner was a lovely night out. Food is outstanding and prepared beautifully. We are from Chicago, so we do have slightly higher expectations for a Service in a meal with a $94 price tag. We were not disappointed, per se, but some things fell short. At a restaurant of this quality, we are used to their laying our napkins on our laps, after asking if we preferred a black or white one. I was wearing black velvet pants, so given a choice, I would have opted for black. I ended up with white fuzzies. Charger plates were removed before we even ordered. The bread was unceremoniously dropped on the table without a comment of “warm French bread.” Service was a bit frenetic, but to be fair, it was Valentine’s and the place was packed. Proper dress is not a thing, a gent was seated in cargo shorts and dirty gym shoes. Sheesh! Typically, a meal starts at a place of this caliber with an amuse bouche and includes a palate cleanser between courses, and maybe a chocolate truffle with the bill. All those potential special touches, to raise the bar were, missing. There was an excellent combo playing music in the bar. It contributed nice background. The patio area looked dreamy, with trees lit by strings of lights. As to the food—which IS why we came, it was delicious. Ahi tuna tartare and lobster cocktails were superb, with lots of tuna and lobster. Rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and the veal filet with truffle ravioli was truly wonderful and cooked just right. Little slices of truffle were a tasty surprise. Creme brûlée was crunchy and creamy, while the vanilla ice cream (delice) with berries was a bit of a disappointment. The ice cream is not made there and was not anything special. We were disappointed to learn this after eating it. They had a “special composition plate” as a dessert item. Prior to ordering, we asked what it was. The waiter “had come late” and did not know. We suggested he ask. All in all great food that fell a bit short for service.
Creative menu option, superb service, romantic atmosphere, tree covered patio and outdoor dining option.
Most romantic place my wife has ever been to including nyc,Italy,Paris etc
Everything we had hoped for. From the greeting to the excellent service to outstanding food made for a very pleasurable dining experience.
It never disappoints! The wait staff is impeccable and the food excellent. It’s very romantic on the twinkle lighted patio but there were plenty of big all girlfriend or guy buddy tables. The history/their story is pretty cool and they take the time to tell you if you want. There’s music too which is a great backdrop. It’s an annual favorite!
Fabulously reliable for a marvelous experience!
Exquisite!! This was beautiful and delicious and a true old world treasure.
Food generally is dynamite, but not peak performance this time. However, excellent service and lovely patio made it still worth the visit.
Enjoyable setting. Dated food.
Special Place for a Special Occasion. Great Food and Great Service. One of the best in the Valley.
As good as ever
A memorable meal in a memorable location. A classic dining experience. Some throw-back dishes and some new perspectives. Service is crisp and hospitable. Beautiful outdoor garden.
FABULOUS . WE WENT FOR LUNCH ON A SATURDAY. THE PATIO GARDEN IS SO LOVELY! THE SERVICE IS IMPECCABLE! THE FOOD IS SUPERB!
Excellent food and service.
The outside dining area at Le Vallauris is gorgeous. It's actually an walled area back yard of an old house, with several large ficus trees. Our server was personable, and efficient, while not over-bearing. The food was spectacular; beet gazpacho delicious, with a little bit of crunch. The cod dish with a green pepper and lemon butter sauce, was perfectly cooked, and accompanied by the most petits petits pois. The duck ravioli with pork belly equally wonderful. All this is expensive, of course, even by Palm Springs standards, but as a splurge it was worth it.
Delightful and delicious
This restaurant is a must go to for anyone visiting Palm Springs ! The owners and staff are so professional and understand the true meaning of hospitality ! Each of us loved each of our courses !
Our best dinner in Palm Springs. A classic restaurant and the patio is tree canopied and lovely. We had the dégustation menu and it was incredible. Will return next time we are in PS.
Had not been here for some time. Still the same ambiance, great food and service. Eating on the patio is a delight don't know why we stayed away so long. Definitely on the recommend to friends list.
The food was not quite what we would have expected for an iconic restaurant like Le Vallauris. I was disappointed that the Fanny Bay oysters were very uneven in size (some way too large) and were void of any “liquor.” Whoever shucked them apparently let all that goodness drain away. And the crispy duck, although wonderfully flavored, was unevenly cooked - some parts perfect, but others overdone. All that aside, I’m willing to forgive a couple of lapses from the kitchen, as the service and ambiance were incomparable - truly outstanding - making the overall experience memorable. We will definitely be back.
Le Vallauris is always outstanding!
