About Le Vallauris
Established in the heart of Palm Springs since 1973, Le Vallauris located at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains has been the highest rated restaurant in the Palm Springs Valley since its inception. Owned and operated by the well known restaurateur Paul Bruggemans who was also owner of the Famous Le St Germain restaurant in Hollywood. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 and was owned by the owners of the famous Desert Inn which was The hotel in the Valley. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. It was a favorite place for General Patton when he was based in Palm Springs to stage the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite. The renowned Patio lined with Giant Fichus trees is THE place to dine. The Patio is cooled in the Summer and heated in the Winter.

Le Vallauris Ratings and Reviews
We celebrated our 33rd anniversary here and I couldn’t think of a better place to be! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Every scrumptious bite was decadent, art on a plate! It’s hard to describe how amazing the ahi tuna was, how delicious every spoonful of the lobster bisque was on our lips and oh... the lamb and sea bass - What can I say, sinfully good! Finally, the dessert of Baked Alaska - yum!
The service was also exceptional and every moment made this a night to remember. We are incredibly blessed to live in an amazing “foodie” city in Portland, but nothing comes close to the meal we enjoyed this evening in Palm Springs. Thank you for an amazing celebration!
Le Vallauris is a beautiful restaurant with incredible service and ambience. We did the $63 pre-fixed menu. The chicken and steak main courses were phenomenal. The appetizers and desert were good, and the wine was outstanding. It is solid food and a lovely experience. It's just pricey.
My husband & I, along with another couple, had a lovely dinner here recently. We were seated outside which was filled with tall, beautifully lit trees. The staff was personable & professional from the host/hostess, the waiter, & support staff. The owner even came up to us to greet us & make sure we were doing well. Our drinks were fantastic & our dinners were fabulous. I would HIGHLY recommend dining here whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for a couple or social time with another couple or groups. It is a MUST!!!
La Vallauris is nothing short of spectacular. From the minute you walk in the gracious service begins. The service is impeccable - attentive but not intrusive. The menu is broad enough to have something for everyone and includes dishes not often found at other high end restaurants.
This is the last of the true fine dining restaurants in the valley. It would rank with the best in San Franciso and New York yet delivered with a desert sophistication.
We had to flag down a waiter to get our order taken.
We had a pour our own wine
One of the diners requested no potatoes for his vegetable and what he got was only potatoes. We told the server when the order came it was not correct. The server apologized but did nothing rectify the mistake
We had a beautiful dinner with our kids to celebrate family time. My 12 year old daughter said the foie gras was so good that it gave her goose bumps. She and husband ended up ordering a second order for dessert. The lobster ravioli in lobster bisque were devoured by my 9 year old. Beef cheeks are tender and succulent.
We visited Palm Springs and saw that Le Vellauris was recommended. It was fantastic. The atmosphere was wonderful. I have a restricted diet and they put together the most delicious meal imaginable. The staff was amazing. It has an old world feel but a completely modern take on dining.
We come to Palm Springs annually. One of the highlights is always Le Vallauris where we're happy to see again and again the same professional staff. The menus are ambitious and varied. This year we enjoyed the grilled fois gras, the crispy sweetbreads, the duck, the lobster ravioli, the Grand Marnier soufflé--always in the beautiful outdoor seating. The warm welcome was indeed sparkly and bright for the holidays in 2018!
Would have given 5 stars but the people seated behind our booth were inebriated, loud and vulgar. Talked so loudly my husband and I could not carry on a conversation and their dirty mouths ruined our Christmas Day meal. Certainly not the restaurant’s fault although I thought perhaps the waitstaff should have admonished them
