Established in the heart of Palm Springs since 1973, Le Vallauris located at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains has been the highest rated restaurant in the Coachella Valley since its inception. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Jean-Paul Lair, who has graced the restaurant for over 25 years. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite. The renowned patio, adorned with giant Ficus trees, is THE place to dine. The patio is cooled in the Summer and heated in the Winter.

    Le Vallauris has developed a famous reputation for outside caterings from 2 to 500 guests. The key to success is that Chef Jean Paul prepares all the food on site, no pre-cooked food is kept in hot boxes for a whole day! Le Vallauris has catered to parties as far as Laguna Beach at the coast. A professional service staff is used to give unobtrusive and friendly service. Weddings and Corporate events are their specialty. Comprehensive packages are available to accommodate budgets. Le Vallauris includes in its packages for up to 200 guests all the equipment needed except tables and chairs.

    This was our third visit and first disappointment after two wonderful experiences. From $6 valet to park in open spots, to $16 for dessert berries (refunded) from what was mentioned as if it would be complimentary (“we like to do something for our guests who are having birthdays”, after we initially declined dessert), this was all very overpriced, even allowing for the gorgeous movie set type setting. In my previous visits, I had delicious chicken and lamb chop meals. My white fish on this visit was astonishingly bland. I’m guessing that I got 4 to 5 ounces of tender fish for the $41. But it wasn’t seasoned! No gourmet flavours in this meal! They might as well have used a canned cream of mushroom soup! I also received exactly one canned anchovy in my $19 Caesar salad, although they brought more when I pointed this out. I don’t know if the regular chef was off. But this wasn’t close to value for money and the food was remarkably ordinary. I don’t believe in one strike and you’re out. But I won’t be rushing back here on my next visit.

The white fish that we serve you is a standard dish here that we serve for a very long time, it is very much appreciated.     We had a birthday party at Le Valauris for 10. They were a dream to work with in planning the event. We had excellent service with incredible food. Very innovative in how the food was plated. Very enjoyable evening. Definitely one of my Palm Springs favs.

    Outstanding service and atmosphere and the food was amazing. We really appreciated the pacing of the courses, allowing time to enjoy the food as well as relax in between courses. No rush, no pressure; time to savor our food, enjoy conversation and admire the beautiful setting, Made for a perfect birthday celebration! Can't wait to go back in the evening when the trees on the patio are lit up.

    Truly authentic French experience. Diverse menu, impeccable service and beautiful ambiance. The ambiance is so amazing under the tree canopy! Stuffed Pear Roquefort and grilled marinated quail with figs for apps. Mona enjoyed the salmon with a lovely sweet savory glaze, and I had the best Chilean sea bass of my life!

    We’ve been going to Le Vallauris for years and sadly Soho House has ruined this fine institution. Our martinis were undrinkable and our white wine was warm. This is because no employees are allowed to taste the drinks—including the bartender and the sommelier. That is ridiculous and just as stupid as a chef not being allowed to taste the food. Most of the employees who had been there for many years are no longer there and those that remain must be unhappy. The employees were a big part of what made Le Vallauris special. We miss you Willy!

    We have visited Palm Springs 3 times - we live in Chicago, where we have been spoiled by excellent restaurants. Several of the "fine dining" restaurants in PS charge high prices, but we have found the food and service to be lacking. That was certainly not the case a La Vallauris. The atmosphere was so cordial and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the food was outstanding. Just a delightful evening.

    Le Vallauris continues to be my favorite restaurant in Palm Springs. I took 3 out of town visitors there and they all loved it. The food is always excellent and the service is impeccable.

    Very overpriced for the value, disappointed they did not have one French wine that was less than $200 a bottle. Been to many French restaurants that have a stock French wine that was wonderful. The wine list at this restaurant was ridiculously expensive. The description of the food on the menu very poorly described.

    Absolutely loved this place! It will be on our list every time we visit Palm Springs. What a beautiful ambient setting, fantastic service and the most amazing food! Worth every dollar you will spend. The sommelier and the server were both a delight!! We will return. Sooner than later I hope.

    Our party of three recently had Sunday brunch at Le Vallauris. It was excellent. We were seated in the restaurant's lovely outside dining area. How nice to find a restaurant in Palm Springs that still has tablecloths, cloth napkins and silver flatware. The brunch menu is lovely. One member of our party was Vegan; not a problem. Our food was as delicious as it was beautifully plated and attentively served. Our experience: beautiful decor and atmosphere inside and outside, deliciously prepared and presented food, professional attentive waitstaff, quiet, expensive but not unreasonable. Highly recommended.
