Established in the heart of Palm Springs since 1973, Le Vallauris located at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains has been the highest rated restaurant in the Palm Springs Valley since its inception. Le Vallauris is owned and operated by the well known restaurateur Paul Bruggemans and Partner Omar Haddedou. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 and was owned by the owners of the famous Desert Inn which was The hotel in the Valley. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. It was a favorite place for General Patton when he was based in Palm Springs to stage the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite. The renowned Patio lined with Giant Fichus trees is THE place to dine. The Patio is cooled in the Summer and heated in the Winter.

    Le Vallauris has developed a famous reputation for outside caterings from 2 to 500 guests. The key to success is that Chef Jean Paul prepares all the food on site, no pre-cooked food is kept in hot boxes for a whole day! Le Vallauris has catered to parties as far as Laguna Beach at the coast. A professional service staff is used to give unobtrusive and friendly service. Weddings and Corporate events are their specialty. Comprehensive packages are available to accommodate budgets. Le Vallauris includes in its packages for up to 200 guests all the equipment needed except tables and chairs.

    We enjoyed a delightful brunch. Due to the heat, we chose to eat indoors in the dining room, rather than on the patio. The service was excellent, as was the food. Looking forward to our next visit!

    Scaled down menu on a white board. Waiter was not a good mood. Seemed to rush. Why, I don’t know no one else was in the restaurant. A sewer smell. Not appealing. Food overall adequate. Was excited to come to the restaurant but won’t be back. Disappointing experience. 🥲

    Honestly as terrific as any top place in the South of France. It is a near perfect restaurant, with perfect food and perfect service and ambience. My ONLY quibble is this: the wine list is ridiculous, and the sommelier borders on the nasty/insulting side, and definitely not helpful. The wine list leans heavily toward very expensive, and often overpriced wines, with virtually no middle ground selection price-wise. Every restaurant should have a $75 Margaux, as well as a terrific selection of wines in that range---and virtually ALL top places are careful to provide that these days. We go back here often--it is terrific. Worth mentioning is their terrific outdoor air cooling system, which make it comfortable outside even in the hottest Palm Springs weather.

    Father's Day Brunch. Loved everything about our visit to treat dad an elegant brunch for four. Prix Fixe menu has a large array of choices for each category (Appetizer, Main Course, and Dessert) to satisfy any curiosity and taste. Every single item that came to the table was beautiful and delicious. Champagne was in our glasses at all times. Staff and service were on point and friendly. Patio was beautiful and felt intimate. We got there at 1pm and never felt like we were in sweltering heat at any point. Mind you it was only in the 90's, but for someone who lives on the coast, anything above 80 is hot. Highly recommend and definitely will be back to try other good looking items on the menu. Thanks for making it a special day for my daddy!

    The wife ordered the lamb medium rare more on the medium side, it came out very rare sent it back and still several pieces were still rare, she tried my duck and said it was dry she loves the surrounding but felt the quality has suffered as last time prior to COVID she loved the scallops and and the dessert but was let down this time and will be only going once this time

    The salad with a fresh pear stuffed with Roquefort cheese on a bed of frisee lettuce was excellent. Although the menu mentioned endive as well, there were only 3 endive leaves used as a decoration, which was fine with me. Dover sole was the main, slightly overcooked but delicious. The cherry/chocolate combination, a new item on the menu, was superb. Service impeccable. The only negative aspect was the lack of valet parking.

    Excellent food and service with the utmost attention paid to every detail by the chef and the wait staff. I last came here several years ago (on a few other recent occasions they were closed for renovations) and service, ambience and quality and presentation of the food is still as great as ever.

    The food is traditional French fare, cooked impeccably. The service is friendly and responsive but not overbearing or ostentatious. We sat out on the patio under the trees which was lovely.

    A lovely dinner on the patio. Our server, Chad, was welcoming and friendly. Started with the escargot, which was a bubbling, buttery delight. The beef filet was perfection as was the halibut. The entire team that serviced our table was friendly and happy, leaving us with the impression that they enjoyed working at this restaurant. We will return!

    Wonderful to see how vibrant and active the environment-It was packed and the service was a bit slow but it quickly resolved. Bruce is the consummate sommelier and the wait staff did a great job covering for each other. the food is always excellent but why are they offering Russian caviar when there are excellent California options.? We were ready to go to town on caviar but their decision to support Russian products is unfortunate. Talk about a 1st world problem but if we're going to spend money, it will be socially and globally responsibly.

    This restaurant was my parents' choice for their wedding anniversary. They told me that their meals -- caesar salad & duck for mom, escargot & branzino for dad, capped with a little champagne and creme brûlée - were delicious. Service was excellent, staff was very attentive, congratulated my parents, offered to make a seating accommodation for them since the night was very warm. My parents were quite happy with their evening at Le Vallauris.

    Excellent! Better than last February. The Maine lobster dish has been tweaked and is again delicious. Our favorite place for special occasions or for any time because the food is always so good, the staff pleasant and the atmosphere charming.

    the food was great, better than ever. the service was sad. At this price with great food they missed the mark on service it was sloppy endnote as polished as it used to be. The atmosphere has lost it's magic. If the bill was not over 300 dollars Icuold have gotten over the service.

    The waiter was not attentive to our needs. We had a bottle of champagne and some ice tea drinkers. No one came back for beverage services. Food presentation was great. Food had little flavor.
