Our server, Steve, was awesome!! The food was fantastic. It's a real treat to dine here. Thank you.
Always outstanding, special and a wonderful experience!
This was our first time and it will NOT be our last. It was a great find and the best restaurant we have visited in Palm Springs. Kudos to the chef and our server. Amazing!!
Patrice and his crew are Amazing! We had a GREAT time celebrating two birthdays. Great food. Amazing service. Highly recommended!
Without doubt the best restaurant in Palm Springs.
Perfect in every way...atmosphere ..service ..food...music..excellent!!
True old school Palm Springs glamour. Truly elegant.
We went two days in a row. Our first meal was fantastic. My wife chose the rack of lamb and I took the half-duck. The best duck I have ever eaten and the lamb was perfect. For we went the second night with expectations perhaps too high, it didn’t went as well, though it was good. The setting is fabulous. You eat in an outdoor heated patio covered by ficus trees that are garnished with kind of comb of little white lights. The effect is beautifull. So, we wish you to enjoy this place.
This is our favorite restaurant in the United States! We also so appreciated how warm and cozy it was with the heaters-perfect way for two couples to celebrate their wedding anniversaries!
Fabulous food !!1. Wine service by Bruce was extraordinary and our favorite is Willy who is so accommodating and ensures we are well taken care of. Try the escargot, the smoked salmon toast and the lobster salad. Best restaurant in Palm Springs.
It’s a perfect dining experience! To me, the finest in all of the desert!
Impeccable, as usual. This restaurant never disappoints us. We've been dining here for over 15 years - and it always satisfies. Such a gem in the desert!
The glowing reviews of this restaurant are not an exaggeration. This is, in all honesty, one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. And I mean this in the best sense of well-rounded. Everything about this restaurant has been carefully honed and refined over its long history so that you have a feeling of ultimate comfort and pleasure done in a particularly refined and understated way. I suggested to the manager who came to speak with her several times that they should have a sign on the door at the entrance saying "Welcome to Yesterday" in which yesterday refers to a style and refinement that is rare to find in today's restaurants. The service was extraordinarily attentive without being obtrusive, and our waiter was absolutely delightful and very helpful in that he was willing to make small adjustments to the dishes we ordered to suit our taste. He made very helpful suggestions without being pushy. The menu is interesting without being eccentric and the food is simply exquisite. My brother and I had the roast duck with cherry sauce which was the best duck I have ever had. One of my sisters had the rack of lamb which was brilliantly flavored and spiced in which he clearly enjoyed enormously. In my other sister had a lobster dish which was wonderful. We will certainly return to this restaurant next time we're in Palm Springs. This is an absolutely memorable restaurant and while it is not inexpensive we certainly felt that we got more than our money's worth.
One of the best by far...one of our favorite..great food and the old school atmosphere we love
We had a fantastic dinner at Le Vallauris this past Sunday, 3/10. This was our third visit in as many years. We could not have been more happy with the service we received and quality/presentation of our food. We particularly enjoyed the very knowledgeable and gracious Sommelier, Bruce. His wine recommendations are always spot-on and we always enjoy his candor and humor. Raymond, our server, is a gem and we were impressed with his quick wit and professionalism, while still being light and fun with our somewhat rowdy crowd. While this restaurant is on the higher-end cost-wise in the Palm Springs area, it is well worth every penny!
Excellent service, wonderful food and elegant ambiance
We both chose the "Price Fixed" menu and enjoyed it very much. And, it's a good value. It was so nice to be in a quite restaurant where other dinners' voices and conversations went unheard. The garden is beautiful! The indoor space was very pleasant. I look forward to dinning there again.
This is our go to place for special event evenings. 100% dependable, magnificent atmosphere and great food. Thank you for always making us feel special!
Every Brunch there is a Special Occasion!
I absolutely loved this place !The food was exquisite ,service was too notch and our server gave us some awesome spots to see in Palm Desert .I forgot his name ,but he was extremely attentive (like everyone else ,actually )
Defininitely will return on my next trip to the desert (probably on the next Indian Wells tournament )
Le Vallauris is one of our favorite restaurants. The service, energy, food & wine are A++. I still have dreams about the Lobster Ravioli!!
We waited almost an hour to get seated for a reservation at 8:30 pm.
One of the most iconic and romantic restaurants in the broader Palm Springs area. The ambiance and service are superb and the food is not necessarily French, as the restaurant name might suggest) just very upscale fish and meats *steak, duck, etc.). It's superb, our favorite in Palm Springs.
Remains after decades one of the most gracious and lovely upscale restaurants in the desert. The owner/host Paul and Omar are old school class and make everyone feel welcome.
We were expecting a 5 star experience, but only found a 2 star experience. Seated in a corner even after asking to be moved; rack of lamb and oso bucco were barely warm; waitress didn't know we were celebrating a birthday even though the front desk did know. We were offered a birthday ice cream after we ordered dessert. Poor waitress forgot to refill coffee. Had to get up and ask a blue apron bus person
We have been to Le Vallauris several times before and had wonderful experiences, this time may have been an anomaly, but, really our table of six were all disappointed. The food was not up to par, two of us had Chilean Sea Bass which seemed to be stringy and almost as if it had been frozen. The Caesar salad was poor and the steak just OK. I do hope we just happened on a bad night as I would hate to think of this restaurant going down hill.
I was expecting a lot more out of this place. The service was good but the food on the degustation menu was nothing to write home about (with exception of the ravioli). The lack of wine pairings for the tasting menu was disappointing as well.
The best dining experience in the desert consistently!
The best of the best in Palm Springs.
I chose Le Vallauris for my last meal before starting a low sodium diet. I have had wonderful experiences there and was excited to order crispy duck. When it arrived, it was borderline dry but not dry enough to send back. The potatoes were exquisite. I took most of the duck home and when I opened the container the duck was so dry I couldn't even chew it and there was no orange sauce in the container. So I basically lost that entire meal. I hope in the future the chefs take the time to show a little more care for the customer.
THE BEST OF PALM SPRINGS!
Visited to celebrate a 50 plus anniversary. Wanted to sit ouside and as the evening forecast was not good we decided on lunch. Ordered from the prix fixe menu which had excellent offerings in each of the three categories. Our waiter was a long term staffer who gave us some interesting history on the restaurant.
Service was excellent while not being annoying. Food was excellent, portions were generous and the wine selection terrific.
Will definitely recommend to friends and will return on our next visit to Palm Springs.
Love this place! Cuisine so fine and delicate, to match or exceed any meal we had in France.
Chef Jean Paul Lair came to our table to explain how the half duck was prepared, and we were given a booklet from their cooking classes. The owners are so welcoming, always conversing with us, recognizing us, and delivering a special anniversary dessert to our table.
The beet gazpacho was unctuous and deep with flavor...the whitefish delicate, with mustard mousseline sauce complimenting tiny intensely yellow potatoes, and spinach. The half duck, orange sauce, spinach, and sweet potato layered concoction had us rolling our eyes with pleasure.
Bruliam Sangiacomo Vineyard, Sonoma Pinot Noir, Ferrari Carano Sonoma Merlot, and Highlands Napa Zinfandel perfectly complemented the exquisite lunch.
The special dish of vanilla ice cream, cookies, strawberries was the perfect touch.
We began coming here five years ago for the food. Now we realize it is the owners' hospitality that heightens our desire to return each time we visit the desert. This is the restaurant business at its most personal!
This is a really great restaurant. Whether you live in the valley or are visiting, if you're looking for fine food you need to try Le Vallauris.
Always great food always great service
We have eaten here many times over the past 20 years and the experience is always super special!!!
It was romantic, the food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
We have been at Le Vallauris many times before and never disappointed. This time we were with friends tasting 4 different menus. We were all happy and shared bites of each other’s dish. The service was great, as always. We had the pleasure to meet the owner for a brief chat. He remembered us from previous visits which gave our dinner a personal note. Le Vallauris remains the favorite place to dine fine in Palm Springs.
Excellent, as usual. Only one like it in the Valley.
