Great service, very accommodating and vibe is Mediterranean chic, foo was very good just wish they more variety but went for the Sunday brunch and it was very good. Not crowded and no long waits. Great spot to enjoy a day out with friends and other random customers who like enjoying the good music together!!!
Where do I start? We arrived for my birthday dinner at 6:20PM (10 minutes before our reservation start time), and told them we had to be at a show at 8pm, so we just needed to have our dinner and be out by then. There were only 6 people, so it was plenty of time (there were only 4 other tables with people when we got to the restaurant--pretty empty). Ambiance was cute, but we got our food at 7:50PM (10 minutes before I needed to be somewhere else). I kept asking for the status throughout the night, and was told it would be "3 more minutes" and "5 more minutes," when it was an hour wait. I don't drink alcohol, and the waiter was pressuring me to have shots so I "wouldn't be stressed"--all I wanted was our order and water, which wasn't being refilled. Plus, he told us to be"quiet" so he could open the bottle of wine. I have never seen it take 5 minutes for someone to open a bottle of wine...and in the end the cork dropped into the wine, and we had to get another bottle with an additional 5 minutes of waiting for him to open it. Our mouths were burning from eating tagine so fast, and I was late to the performance nearby. The service and lack of transparency deserve a 0 star rating. I work in PR and have worked in the restaurant industry previously, and have never experienced anything like this in my life.
I had the best time ! I went for brunch for my cousin’s birthday and the service was OUTSTANDING! It was unlimited drinks and our waitress didn’t fail to ask us if we wanted more drinks everytime we were halfway done! The food was amazing and the ambiance was incredible. I highly recommend coming here!
Definitely a great spot with good music and food. We had a great night the mood was right
My friend and I had a deal for unlimited brunch for two people. My friend didn’t buy the deal because she doesn’t drink,so she wanted to come anyway due to my birthday. So we addressed the situation of her just buying the meal without buying the unlimited brunch deal they have to the waiter. The waiter went to go speak to a associate who claims they were a manager. She gave us the story book restaurant policy. Which was fabricated because that’s not even a policy at any restaurant. So we decided to leave, the real manager came over, and addressed the situation and told us, she can just buy the meal without buying the unlimited brunch. Service sucked I only had two glasses of unlimited drinks.
Party brunch with loud music, its like a night club but at 1 pm...its fun but you need to know where you are going, party atmosphere
Very disappointing Valentine's Day experience. I went here with my partner- we assumed that since a set menu was in place that the options offered under it would be well-executed. Our 3-course meal took over 2.75 hours, and was not worth the time or money. The appetizers of hummus and grilled octopus were great; the chicken and mashed potato entree was very dry and tough (and cold), and the cauliflower and raisin main dish was lackluster in seasoning and overall taste. The desserts of pistachio ice cream and chocolate cake were fine but nothing special, and came out very late to our table. Not at all worth the cost. Our server indicated that there was only one person in the kitchen and that that caused delays, which makes no sense for a Valentine's Day in the city (also, the kitchen is open on the ground floor and we could plainly see multiple people working hard). The one part of the meal that was worth the visit was the belly dancer performing-- she was awesome.
Beautiful setting ... low seating(Moroccan) style ... love the food and ambiance
Had bottomless brunch here as part of a Fever voucher. It's not a bad spot by any means, but just not my cup of tea so please be advised that this review is written from someone who doesn't quite fit the clientele profile :)
They have a live DJ on Saturdays for brunch which many other patrons enjoyed, but it too loud for me - our seats were vibrating and we were unable to have any sort of conversation. The food was ok (I didn't finish it), the bloody Mary was undrinkable (I sent it back), but I did enjoy their mojito and it was a nice change for a brunch drink. Our server was very sweet, polite, and accommodating.
We left 45 minutes into the two hour bottomless because the noise was simply just too loud.
We went to Off the Wagon afterwards to a calmer and quieter atmosphere (use that as a reference point for the noise). In Le Souk, there's a half floor on the way up to the brunch dining room which was much quieter and would come back if it was possible to reserve those seats.
If you're young, like loud music when you eat, mediocre wine, and some tasteless appetizers, I guess you could enjoy the place. The service, on this Saturday evening, was inattentive; the server not very well versed on food and drinks, and his recommendation for wine was blah... The lamb tangine was very good, though the couscous was forgotten. The warm aubergine was ok, but the calamari (ceviche style, I guess) was chewy, totally lacking flavor.
Wasn’t what I expected no music, Waiter was taking a very long time approaching me and my friends, Asked for the bill came like 15 minutes later paid the bill then waited approached demanding more money for a tip told him that wasn’t to my expectations and service was poor he then quoted ‘Not My Fault’ , Did not tip him more then as I was walking out with my wife he was hassling and arguing over money and we just stormed out very disappointed and upset and hookah sucks !!!
I used to love Le Souk, the ambiance and the crowd has always been welcoming. However, Saturday January 27th was a nightmare. I booked an upstairs table for 4 people in advance for my boyfriend's birthday. We arrived 10 minutes late, therefore they automatically gave our table away even though we were going to order bottle service. The manager told us to wait on the middle floor and order drinks and food while we wait for a table to open up. He told us that it would take 45 minutes, yet it ended up taking over an hour and a half. The waiter seemed equally incompetent as he did not understand that we were not planning on ordering a great deal of food or drink at the current table that were at and that we wanted to go upstairs to a actual party table for bottle service. After my friends and my boyfriend went upstairs twice to talk to the manager, he was totally not understanding and accommodating towards our situation and he kept attempting to cut me off in mid-sentence. Therefore, I asked for the bill but he said don't worry about the bill. We ended up leaving and going to the hookah bar Faluka, which is around the corner. I would NEVER recommend anyone going to Le Souk, because their service is not good and they are quick to give your table away yet seat other patrons upstairs as soon as they walk in. Luckily, Faluka was an amazing time with great prices.
Service took a long time and drink orders were not provided until reminding staff. Food was delicious! I had to store my coat but I didn't have cash to pay the coat guy so felt bad about that.
Made a reservation for 6 at late afternoon.
They didn't have our table, made us wait for half an hour.
We finally sat at a bar at the first floor which looks like a decoration though.
The bar had 4 chairs and we were 6 people.
We put all chairs together like a bench and sat together.
One of us just chose to stand up and I still couldn't fold my arm to put food into my mouth.
The noise from 3rd floor was so loud, we couldn't really hear each other.
Food was ok.
Terrible for group event. Went here for a birthday party for which we reserved a large table. When we arrived, they made us wait for an hour. After that, they told us they forgot to get a large enough table ready. We were finally seated 2 hours late. Once we placed our orders, we were told that the kitchen were overworked and we would only be able to order 4 entrees family style and share. Owner is very rude and unaccomadating. I would not recommend this to place. Ruined the birthday party. The wait staff is wonderful and took good care of us despite all this.
Amazing food, great ambiance and very nice staff !
This was the most awful experience in my life. So unprofessional!!!! We was never seated at all. I made reservations for the table at 1:30 p.m. the day before. They change the time to 2:00 p.m. without letting us know. The host took us upstairs and left us in the middle of the floor. We was getting shove, bump, drinks spilling, loud noise, and etc.. She told us to wait for 15 minutes because they was cleaning our table. 15 minutes turn into 30 minutes. 30 minutes turn into an 1 hour. 1 hour turn into hours. it was 3:45 p.m. and we still was not seated. The mangers was ignoring us. I kept addressing this issue to him he laughs and walk off I show him my open table receipt he still did not sit us. I felt like it was discrimination. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. This was our first time going to this brunch and never again.
Solid place. Good food. I’ll go back. Nice set up and good service
Food wasn't great - my fiance and I ordered two different dishes, but they both looked and tasted the same when they came out, service was fantastic!
I love this place, it was my first time there. Food were amazing, the ambiance were perfect.. the only thing I would have to say is that, it was pretty chilly, especially in the restroom. Overall, it was great.
We have a group of 9 people, we all love the place and service, great music and atmosphere. Will recommend it to anyone looking for a nice fun place to eat and talk. Also there’s dance going on inside. Amazing time
Don't order the crab cake Benedict.... it's disgusting. Everything else like the salmon Benedict was delicious though.
I came with 9 other people for a birthday dinner for my cousin turning 30. Dinner was great. It was just very dark in the restaurant. All of the staff were very nice and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
The restaurant was great for my brunch with friends. Unfortunately, it became very crowded and clubby around 1:30 PM (on a Saturday), so we moved on to another place for quieter drinks. But the food was delicious and creative.
The staff was a bit inattentive to our table because several larger groups were on the floor, but when we did have a server's attention, we got good service. We just wished that they had been faster to refill our bottomless drinks. :-)
Food was great. Service great
No belly dancers. I brought my clients to a holiday dinner with belly dancers. None to be found. Big time false advertising
Wait staff was somewhat attentive, but disorganized. Salad, with dressing on the side, came with dressing mixed in. Waiter did not know that they were out of one of the standard entrees. Credit card machine was locked and it took 20 minutes to pay the bill.
So great! Great service! Great deal! Great Mac! Great fried chicken! Lol ❤️
It was greattttt. Food was amazing I got the chicken and the Mac on the side . The drinks?? Had me goneeee best birthday ever.
Amazing service ❤️
Dining at Le Souk was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I think this restaurant was less sanitary than restaurants I've been to in Marrakesh. Reasons why my experience was such a nightmare:
(1) We were seated next to a large and loud party that was at the end of their evening with bottle service. The waitstaff paid far more attention to that party than my own party. We did not receive our drinks or even water until our food was delivered to the table.
(2) Employees sat down at the mess of a table left by the bottle service party (after the party departed) and ate leftover food in full view of us and other diners. At least have the decency to take the food back to the kitchen and eat it out of view.
(3) Served me a clearly wrong order that was not worth correcting as it would have delayed my exit from that nightmare.
(4) The food was not good.
I strongly caution anyone from eating here. Go for hookah and maybe a drink, but don't go here to eat.
My reservation was for 12pm and arrived about 15 minutes early. I was not allowed to enter the establishment until 12pm and it was raining. The bathroom & dining areas were still being cleaned & the wait staff were still arriving. The place smelled like bleach. Besides this, the food was very tasty, the drinks were flowing for the boozy brunch and the music was pumping. I had the lamb burger and my mother had the egg omelette. The DJ was blasting 90s hip hop which was fun. I would definitely go here again, just not at 12pm.
The food was great, love their Truffle Mac & Cheese and their Shakshouka. The service was ok due to lack of attention. The management is rude. We asked for a simple question if we could be moved inside to enjoy Hookah services but they seem to be busy. We just needed a yes or no answer which they had said Yes we can wait at the bar and they will fix us the table. After about waiting for half and hour or so I went over to ask the manager if any was available yet. She had yelled back at us saying these people had reservations and you already had your reservation which you took on sitting outside. I told them that I understand that but they agreed to let us wait at the bar and will seat us when it’s available. OR they could simply just say No I’m sorry there are no available tables upstairs for you to move rather then saying Yes and wait at the bar then yelled at us after. Just really unprofessional and def would stop coming.
We had a WOW experience and will certainly be back.
Not so good for dinner......................................................mmmmmmmmmmm
This restaurant was amazing. I was celebrating my birthday and it was so much fun. There was a belly dancer and even a violinist. It also turned into a club later on which was a plus. They were very accommodating even offered to replace some of our steaks which were undercooked despite having asked for well done ones. Our server was really nice and attentive. Overall loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
It was a bit disappointing. The food took too long to be served. They have to improve the kitchen turn around time.
Le souk had a good ambiance with unique decor. The food was average. Drinks were strong. There was a wedding reception which also took place during the brunch hours so the upstairs area was packed and loud.
We went for dinner on a Saturday night. There was a DJ and some belly dancing. The food was very good and we overall had an amazing time. The music went back and forth between American to Moroccan music. I really liked the Moroccan music and would have liked there to be more of that.
I was grateful to have made my reservation in a place that was so special and wonderful. I had a great time with my family members. The food was truly amazing and tasteful, music was amazing little loud but was great music choices, the belly dancer was incredible and the service was impeccable. They did forget the fact we were celebrating a birthday which I enforced on my reservation and confirmed when I called but overall can't wait to go back.
This was our second time getting brunch here. We managed to get an outdoor table with our reservation, but had to wait half an hour until a server came to our table (the water pourer was very attentive, and we finally asked him to send our waiter over). After that, the service was much better, but presumably only because the server needed to come to us anyway when bringing our food, etc. Last time we were there, the server would really only talk to us if we flagged him down first. The drinks are OK for the most part (bloody Mary is horrible), and the food is good but not fantastic. It's a definite must-do if you can get the 2-hour bottomless brunch from Pulsd with outdoor seating in nice weather, but I would probably not recommend otherwise.
