Cute place. Nicely decorated. We went because it is supposedly French, but didn't feel they captured the basics of French cuisine. The food was average - not bad, but not better than any number of other places. Sauces are a French thing, but the sauces we had weren't what we'd hoped. Crispy potatoes were anything but - they may have been in the fryer long enough to put a light crunch on the outside, but it was just a hunk of potato. Banana bread was VERY good. Beignets need to be lighter. Service was good.
Booths are difficult to get in/out of because of the fabric, although they look adorable. Hamburger was good but there was hardly any cheese on it (again, back to the "sauce/toppings" issue). Ham in Croque Madame was really salty. I know it's country ham, but it was overpowering. And, finally, we were very surprised (disappointed) that a French restaurant offers no coffee other than regular made in a standard coffee maker. Really?!? No espresso? We wanted to love this place, but we didn't.
No problem getting a table before 7pm, so it was pretty empty when we got there. The outside tables are lovely. Our server was very attentive (Abraham??). The Following items were terrific: bread, cheeseburger, fries, orange lavender cake, coffee . The wine selection was reasonable too. I had the fish of the day, which had too many flavors for me, but overall, a nice experience!
Le Sel has been a favorite place of mine to take someone for a nice chat. During the week it is pretty slow so the noise level is very low and you can actually have a nice conversation. The menu is now a tad limited to me but overall a nice experience.
Perfect Mother's Day choice. Our server Josh made every thing enjoyable even though we didn't have lunch until 2.
The food was delicious and the ambiance was beautiful! Try the roast quail!
Great for brunch. The food and service were outstanding.
This has been our go to restaurant every time we’re in Nashville .
Outstanding food and beverages. Our brunch selections of omelet, crepe and beignet were all wonderful. Drinks were delicious as well. Prices were fine. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, if maybe al little stretched. Our drinks ordered before food came, arrived after food was finished. Not a deal breaker, we will definitely return to this fine little gem
The waiter was nice however, the hostess was not. The food was fine. I would try the place out with no expectations...
This was our second time coming to this cute spot. However, we weren't satisfied with the Brunch portions for the Steak and Eggs entree. I recommend listing the size difference between Brunch and Lunch — To help set expectations for all customers.
We had a great brunch here on a girls' trip! We had mimosas, beignets, bacon, fruit and more! It was very tasty and we loved our server and the nice ambiance. Reminded us of being in Paris. :) I highly recommend.
My wife and I live in Nashville and eat at all the local restaurants. This one was okay, but nothing special. Parking was difficult and there was no valet. The food was good and we left full, but neither of our dishes was overly impressive. My wife had the chicken and it was good. I had the market fish and it was okay. Side items were fair, but somewhat bland. The restaurant is very comfortable, well decorated, and perfectly lit for a nice date night . The service was fine. Our wine was good, but the pour was very, very small for the money we paid per glass. I actually thought it was a tasting at first. Nice date night but not a place I’ll revisit.
Another great experience at LeSel. We are loyal customers and enjoy the food and the staff. Great place to eat and highly recommended.
A surprise," first brunch" for my daughter. Who loves everything French! Thank you so much for an awesome experience. From the greeting to our departure it was excellent. We will be back again with friends. Oh, how could I forget the awesome brunch, worth every penny .
We got the deviled eggs as a starter, and each got a drink (Vanderbilt for him, French 75 for me - both delicious). Deviled eggs were nicely done with some crunch from the crispy ham bits. I got the crepe with a side of eggs. Crepe was beautifully presented but I felt like the chicken was a little dry. He really enjoyed his omelet. The atmosphere was a bit loud for us, but most likely due to the large birthday party nearby (sound does carry in that space). I thought the ambiance and pink booths were very modern!
We were well taken care of in all areas. The food was great and the service was great as well. the staff was friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
Always a delicious spot for brunch!
Nice Saturday brunch offering...great way to start the day in Nashville.
My friends and I had Brunch at Le Sel on a Saturday morning, and we were quite pleased with the food and amazing decor and ambiance. However, we were a little disappointed with the prices of the brunch libations ($11 dollars for a standard mimosa and $12 for a sub-par bloody). We probably will not return, but if we do, we would go get drinks down the street before or after bunch to get more bang for our buck.
The restaurant was not very busy so I don't know if they were understaffed or what but it took 10 minutes for us to be greeted or to get our drink order. Also my side salad had no dressing it was just a pile of lettuce and the mushrooms in the omelette were very oily.
Food is so so. I ordered a burger which was extremely greasy. Ambience was great and I loved the atmosphere. Waiter was a sweetheart and gave us excellent service..
Great service...delicious and well proportioned food!!
Our LeSel experience was wonderful. The food was outstanding and our service was perfect. I love the choices both for the main meal and the desserts. I can't wait to go back!
630 on a Saturday night and 30% of entrees unavailable?!
Jordan was amazing and incredibly accommodating. We will be back, well worth the trip from Alabama!
We were so impressed with the appetizer selection that we made them our dinner. All were excellent, especially the tartare!
Good gluten-free options in every section of the menu. One item was prepared gluten-free on request.
Food great, service great. Could be made to have more ambiance with softer music and lighting. Instead of loud , bubble gum music you have to talk over. Why does every new place feel the need to make it as loud as possible?
I dined here for dinner last weekend and the food was delicious — I definitely recommend the trout and the chicken entrees! The tartare and the squash were both tasty as well. Service was friendly and attentive. My only minor complaint is that I wanted more of the amazing potatoes that were served with the trout. It wasn’t enough! I would definitely go back again, maybe for brunch next time.
The food and service was amazing and we loved that brunch is served all day on Sundays — We enjoyed ourselves!
Loved the band!!!
Le Sel was an amazing brunch spot for my friends and I to enter into our usual rotation. They have the most beautiful decor, outstanding staff, and insatiable food.
We went to Le Sel for my friends birthday brunch, and it was great. They didn’t mind my request to put us at one of the pink velvet booths, and they brought her a plate of free birthday beignets.
Fantastic all around. I’m usually fine with chatting up servers and staff, but this was a first date and I was nervously focused on myself and my date. I was trying my best to stay in the zone, and I think those who waited on us could tell. They were perfect! I didn’t even realize they were there for most of it, as my date and I were entrenched in conversation for most of the evening. Food and beverages would simply fade into the space in front of us, without interruption, allowing us to really connect. I was a server for years, and let me tell you that’s an art!
Ambiance is super chill, but sophisticated. Ornamental, French decor mixed with modern art and neon signage. The place was almost empty, which was hopefully just due to it being Christmas Eve Eve. Just the right amount of light...perfect.
Now, the food and drink was also incredible. The Bougie Jack n’ Coke is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had - well worth the price. We started with steak tartare, which was fantastic, and I chose the Rainbow Trout for my main. It was wonderful, and again, just when I was ready for it, magically appeared before me during a lull in the conversation. My date got the quail, which looked delicate and refined, much like her :).
We got some desert that don’t even remember but was fantastic, took off down the road to another spot, and another, and had one of the best nights I’ve had in years.
I guess I’ve got Le Sel to thank for starting it off right.
Very slow, not so great service. A bit pricey for what you get. I would not recommend.
From the food to the decor to the service everything was amazing! I can’t wait to go back!
Always a pleasure dining here. Staff is incredible & food amazing.
Very pleasant setting with excellent service. Nice dinner with friends and old acquaintances. Food was excellent – try the roasted chicken, oysters. Bruschetta appetizers were great.
