Very pleasant setting with excellent service. Nice dinner with friends and old acquaintances. Food was excellent – try the roasted chicken, oysters. Bruschetta appetizers were great.
Once again we had a delicious, authentically French, meal at Le Sel. The pan roasted quail and amberjack entrees were outstanding.
The service was incredible and the staff was accommodating. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back.
Our service was wonderful and the food was excellent!
We hosted a small, intimate baby shower here and the feminine decor served as a perfect backdrop. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating to us and the food was great.
Based on reviews I'd read I expected to like this place a lot more than I did. Three of us for brunch; it was not busy at all, but we had to wait far too long for a server to take a drink order, then even longer to order food. It was Sunday brunch but this didn't feel unhurried, it felt inattentive. One of us had the bayonne ham benedict and was happy; another had bacon/eggs/potatoes/toast and it was "OK, but how can you mess up bacon and eggs?" I had the burger and didn't care for it at all--bun was dry, burger was dry and overseasoned, fries were cold. The Mercedes cocktail was quite good though. Too many other brunch choices these days--probably wouldn't go back.
Food was exceptional. Very authentic French. This is a rare find.
I picked Le Sel for my birthday, and it was the best decision I've ever made. The place is gorgeous, with pink settees and stunning art, and the bar area is funky and slick. Our service was possibly the best I've ever had, and I wish I could remember the young man's name to give praise. We had lovely cocktails hand made and delivered by a friendly bartender, and the manager helped us choose a wine that didn't overpower our delicate entrees but was still bold enough for my taste. We shared the quail and the black drum, both of which were life-changing. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had, and I will absolutely be back.
This was our fist trip to Le Sel. It was OK, but nothing that would cause us to plan a return visit. We had expected more, and we were regrettably disappointed.
Great ambience and quick service. However, serving was too little.
Much more approachable atmosphere than I had been lead to believe by reading articles on this restaurant. It is not a place you have to wear cocktail attire too, but you will want to come dressed nicely. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. There was a great option of 'clearing out the cellar' wines and we grabbed a great bottle of white wine for almost half of what it had been. The food options are fantastic - so I let the waitress select between Quail or Black Drum. I ended up with the Black Drum fish and it was outstanding. She said Quail was equally as good, but the chef recommended the fish option that evening. The portions are ample, the flavors are amazing. Definitely worth your while to go, and linger, over a lovely dessert and coffee afterwards.
The food and drinks were overpriced and not worth the price.
We thought the food was average. Fish came out very raw and had to send it back. Also, the place was empty, which may be a sign that it is not as great as it once was. Would definitely not go back. I’ll add that we also had brunch there two years and had the same reaction/experience. There are far better places in Nashville than this one.
Service was the star of the show, alongside fresh squeezed grapefruit juice that I’ll dream about, perfectly poached eggs, impossibly light and crispy potatoes, bacon just as I requested. Only thing I could possibly complain about was the temp of my toast—would have loved it warm from the toaster. Will come back again and again.
Haley was our server and was so wonderful to us! Service was top notch. We went for brunch and the food was great but the dessert and drink pairing was fantastic!
This is now my go to brunch spot.
A family favorite - we love Le Sel. Our 15 year old son LOVES oysters and this place is a little closer, quieter and way easier to get into than Henrietta Reds (another family favorite). We go to Le Sel for seafood dishes but this time we ventured out and had the quail and chicken along with oysters and trout. All were fantastic as was the service. Highly recommend!
Cameron was very sweet
Pastry chef is amazing!
Great French food in Nashville! Best you’ll find in town and the servers are excellent
Excellent food in a cool, upscale but still very comfortable atmosphere.
Our food was incredible. We absolutely loved our server, Katie!
Brought us champagne and a dessert for our anniversary! Awesome oysters!
We went for brunch and really enjoyed the first rate food . We shared the beignets, my wife had the eggs Benedict and I had the French omelette which were all very good. We will be back, it reminded us of a cozy Parisian bistro.
Went for brunch. Decor, ambiance and service were simply wonderful. Unfortunately, my French omelette was overcooked for French omelette standards. The plate was extremely hot but unfortunately the omelette itself wasn’t... my guest had the crepe and was very pleased. We’re all about a great brunch but $8 for two cups of coffee is a bit much.
My friend and I sat on the patio. It was a beautiful day and the service was excellent. Waters were continuously refilled and our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Drinks were perfect and food was great! I really loved the sugar cubes with the coffee.
Hidden gem. Even the toast points were better than expected.
I was expecting better
We frequently eat at Le Sel and have always had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and great food. Highly recommended.
We got passed off to 3 waiters and still the host/ bus boy gave us better service while the others talked at the bar. The host/bus boy got our butter and hailed our waiter/waitress twice for us. We gave him a $20 dollar tip.
The food was good , except the creme brule was too burt and had a bad flavor and the fish portion was very small. It could have just been an off night, maybe we will try again at brunch.
Certainly a jewel of a restaurant! The food is phenomenal and the service is among the best I've ever had. And definitely save room for dessert.
I have to tell you this is not the first time we have gone for brunch, and I am personally in the service industry..... They did not have our table ready when we arrived, and there were suitcases all inside the doorway when we walked in so there was not really anywhere to wait to be seated. Once we were seated, we did have a booth like I had asked for. The menu was good, but we waited for our food for about 45 minutes. The restaurant was not slammed busy, so that, and the sub-par service was confusing. Our food finally arrived and mine was cold, and my mother-in-law's was not prepared to her liking. After over 15 minutes of trying to find our server, we flagged down another server. When my mother-in-law's plate came back out they just gave her one egg. ONE EGG. We were paying $14 for eggs benedict and instead of bringing her another full entree prepared correctly, they just brought her an egg ($0.15 egg- Cracker Barrel wouldn't even do that). Then, we were still charged for the full entree. However, we explained to the server and he happily took it off of our bill, but still showed the lack of communication among the staff. Apparently, their system went down as we were trying to pay (not anyone's fault) but it just added to the overall experience. We did want a quiet nice brunch to talk and not be rushed, but our entire dining experience lasted for 3 hours. That was not by choice. I do want to say that it appeared that our poor server was doing everything in the restaurant, so I cannot really fault him for many of the things that took place. I normally would never write a review, especially a negative one, but this was just a bad experience and a major missed opportunity.
The food was amazing. Server was quirky but very attentive. We were a little surprised the place was so empty at 8:30pm on a Saturday night.
Excellent food and excellent service...
We were there on a slow night, so noise level is likely higher than we experienced. Everything was delicious, beautifully served! Our server was excellent! We will be back!
Wonderful experience. Can't wait to go back Don't dare leave without having the beignets
Tonight was our 28th wedding anniversary and we chose Le Sel for our special occasion. Everything was amazing and we will come again for brunch next time
Our server was awesome
Really good food and drinks. Service was excellent. Definately plan to go back!!!!
Wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this place
I always enjoy Le Sel, but my friend who was with us was less than impressed. She had to ask for more dressing for her salad - both of our salads were barely dressed. My husband's mussels were delicious - but overpriced.
