Le Salon at the Windsor Court Hotel
The staff was most gracious and welcoming to the few of us that ventured out post Hurricane Barry providing a lovely break from a very damp and worrisome weekend.
We celebrated my Mom’s 85th Birthday. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Lisa is a wonderful and friendly hostess. We would be disappointed if she wasn’t there to make our experience extra-special!
We will return again.
We have been celebrating my daughter’s birthday at Windsor Court tea ever since she was 2 years old. This year she celebrated her sweet 16! We love our tradition and Windsor Court never disappoints - top notch service and high quality food & tea. They always accommodate any special requests too! Our server - Lisa - knows us by name & we look forward to seeing her every year!
We had to remind our server that we didn’t receive our tea sandwiches. Our server was stretched thin and I believe by adding more servers the experience would have been more enjoyable.
Great service from our server, Stephanie.
Calendar Border, Food & Beverage Manager was attentiveness made us feel welcomed. Tea at Le Salon has become a mother-daughter tradition.
Such a delightful afternoon tea experience! We will return and we will recommend tea to others.
I have been visiting Le Salon for years. However I am disappointed that tea isn’t served right away. It is only being served with scones. I was looking forward to a hot cup of tea with my tea sandwiches.
Still lovely, but I am not fond of the change.
Lovely atmosphere, well brewed tea, and tasty food. Most importantly, you are allowed to take your time and really savor the ritual of taking tea.
As always, a wonderful experience. Lisa has always been the best.
Amazing experience! Food and tea were delicious. Waitresses took very good care of us and had us giggling the whole time. We will be back!
Very quiet in the salon this day. Several empty table that were set up for tea. Service was fast and everything was delicious. Even though service was fast we enjoyed it at the pace we wanted. We were even brought extras of several of the courses. Always first class.
Always a class act! Always outstanding from top to bottom!
Beautiful tea, exceptional service. They were so gracious, including to our children (we were celebrating my daughter’s 11th birthday). A classic that keeps getting better!
For the price you are paying for the services, you would think that they wouldn’t be pushy if you had friends running late. Also I’m pretty sure the pastries were not baked there or local even,it was extremely disappointing.
Stacey Keeney was excellent! Caroline was average and not up to Windsor Court standards that we would expect--she got confused and was slow.
Le Salon offers one of the most superlative afternoon tea services which I have ever experienced, in New Orleans and throughout the world.
From the moment we checked in to the last sip of tea, the experience was delightful! Our hosts were very attentive, knowledgeable about the various teas, and fun to chat with. This far exceeded our expectations!!
We had a great time! The service was outstanding. Perfect place for a bridal get together.
We were seated for 20 minutes before we were even asked what we wanted to drink. We got sandwiches 30 minutes after we arrived. We then got scones and did not want to eat them until we got the tea which was served 53 minutes after we were seated. The dessert tray came out and was placed on a bar behind us for 20 minutes before we got then. I think a 20 % gratuity was too high especially for the serve we did not get. Elegant environment and tea decorations.
Not what it used to be from service to food quality. I don’t know what happened. Will not be inclined to return.
We have been frequent patrons of the Windsor Court Hotel Tea. We have always loved the experience. However, yesterday, it was Louisiana Derby weekend in New Orleans and a large group of women wearing hats celebrating the occasion came in. What is usually a tranquil, relaxing experience with a harp or piano playing in the background, turned into a loud, disconcerting experience. Perhaps Le Salon could ask large groups to assemble and greet one another in a separate room before disturbing other guests that came for a relaxing experience.
Had a great tea service! Would highly recommend!
Lovely mother daughter time in an elegant surrounding! Jean, our waitress was exceptional
This afternoon tea was most elegant experience and definitely a highlight of our New Orleans adventure. A “must do” for all visitors!
My mother in law and I had a lovely afternoon tea, it was such a nice experience and treat.
This is my favorite place to go for afternoon tea!
Mother /daughter tea
Everything about our experience was amazing! The ambiance, the staff, and the food were so great! Thank you for making our experience in New Orleans unforgettable. (I really wish we could remember the staffs' name, but they were so friendly and attentive)
Throughly enjoyed it!! The staff was attentive and the tea treats were delightful. I had the tea suggested by my server (something with strawberries and rhubarb) it was outstanding
We never fail to have a nice time at the Windsor Court tea service. The service is always excellent- friendly and efficient. Lisa has been our server many times, and she does a wonderful job of making everyone feel special.
When I called to confirm my reservation I specifically asked to be seated at a table and chair setting not at a sofa/coffee table setting. I was seated at 2 living room style chairs with a coffee/ end table. There were regular tables for 2 in the area.
Our server was nice but not very attentive to our needs. Actually We felt discriminated against. We had to flag her down to have our tea cups refilled. I had to ask for a knife so I could cut my scones. Neither of us had knives but she brought us only one knife so we were forced to share.
The table right next to us was served in a much better fashion. Almost as soon as one of them would take a sip of tea it was replenished. Ours were not.
The Ritz Carlton not far away provides much better service to ALL of its customers.
Should be $30 a person, not $60. Too expensive for tea.
Catalina was a great waitress. I had a great time. Over the years, the price of tea has increased and the quantity of food has decreased. But, overall, it is a great tea service.
I always enjoy tea at The Windsor.
The gingerbread scones served during the Holiday Tea are always delicious.
I was disappointed in the Holiday tea - only 1 diffuser for 5 different types of tea served - so everyone's tea tasted like a mix of black, green and white tea. Water wasn't super hot - and the steeping times for each tea wasn't observed. Also we had the same tea sandwiches, scones and sweets from previous years - the menu never changes. It would be nice to see some variety and personality in the food - and don't serve lobster unless it is great lobster. My mistake was taking everyone for high tea - during the holidays - when Le Salon is at capacity. It must may not be possible to serve proper high tea to so many guests at one time. I'm going to have to try out other spots to see if there's a better tea out there. I do love the ambiance of the Windsor Court - the space is beautiful and cozy with all of the couches and beautiful furnishings. They just need to up their tea game.
Christmas tea with my daughters
It was wonderful! Staff attentive and professional. Will go again
