Overall the Windsor Court Hotel is beautiful and the service was great so both of these factors helped a lot, but the tea service itself is not good. Pros were that it includes a cocktail which is a nice touch, the tables are beautifully set, the Devonshire clotted cream and curds are really very nice and authentic. The cons are that it is not a traditional tea service as promised and the food overall not being good. The cocktail was a neon green color and tasted very synthetic and strange. The scones have an odd texture and walnuts in them and are not good. The jams and creams sit out on the table since before guests arrive which is a little concerning. The sandwiches are fine but obviously all made and plated before hand which gives me the same icky feeling as the jams being in open containers out on the table all morning. All of the sweets were stale and they gave us one white chocolate and one dark chocolate version of everything which is odd to not have identical desserts for all guests and since we don’t like white chocolate one of us had to have some even worse desserts. Overall I would not recommend this to a friend. I have done many afternoon teas in many cities and sadly this one had the worst food. A beautiful setting if you don’t mind eating again afterwards. It’s also very expensive for how little food and the poor quality.

Elegant setting for high tea! Service was fast and attentive. Expensive for tea, scones and cucumber sandwiches, but ultimately a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Having spent years of searching out high tea in every city we visit, my BFF and I were looking for an extraordinary experience to celebrate our 40 years of friendship. Windsor Court more than exceeded our expectations. The piano music was as lovely as every bite. Thank you!

Been coming to tea for at least 20 years at LeSalon. This year was very disappointing. The scones were much smaller than past years and the sweets were mediocre. Above all, the service was poor. After 20 + years, I’m going to consider another tea service.

Very relaxing atmosphere with harp player as an added touch during the high tea we attended. The food and brverage was presented beautifully. A first for us was the offering of a pre-tea beverage. I had a sangria and my husband had a fruity champagne drink. Our waitress was amazing; very pleasant, attentive and helpful in explaining the tea choices. Highly recommend this event.

My friend and I a lovely tea experience at Le Salon. The service was wonderful. The staff attended to our needs. Le Salon has a wonderful selection of tea choices. I happen to follow a keto program and they accommodated me with berries instead of scones and the tea sandwich fillings minus the bread. They noted my profile for future visits. This is the way it should be done. The Windsor Court is a lovely retreat in the New Orleans which only added to the ambiance. I will be returning.

My group went for a holiday tea with our daughters and friends. It was a fun outing for a special occasion. A few tips: I’d request a table. We sat on loveseats and armchairs, which made it difficult to eat. We were also seated near the harpist. While beautiful, I would have preferred to be away from the music so we could catch up. They also have the option for a child’s tea which includes more kid – friendly sandwiches. Without a doubt the Windsor is a class act, and the service is impeccable. If you can get a reservation, I highly recommend it.

The harpist was outstanding! Beautiful place to enjoy tea. Food could be a little better but it’s so enjoyable, it almost didn’t matter. Our server was very kind and helpful. Real towels in the bathroom! Sooo decadent!

We've been doing tea at Le Salon for twenty years, and I notice it's gone downhill. The service is adequate but somewhat begrudging. I disliked very much being told that the six of us were to order only two different types of tea. Picking types of tea is the whole point of the thing. I notice you no longer serve the little swan cream puffs, and your sandwiches are smaller. The 22% gratuity would be nothing for outstanding service, but that's not what we received this time or last. The room and music and all are lovely, of course, but where is the true class that used to be there?

We attended the holiday tea for my mom’s 60th birthday. We were seated in a wonderful area with comfortable seating. Our server, Jean was very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed her hospitality and the tea. The scones were my favorite and the tea was flavorful. The cocktail at the beginning was a nice touch. High tea was amazing and I cannot wait to go back.

The Christmas Tea was very enjoyable---an improvement over last year's experience. The sandwiches were excellent, but the scones appeared to be somewhat undercooked. The seasonal tea was very pleasant and the service was much better than last year's. However, the first floor area was not as beautifully decorated as in past years.

Christmas Tea at Le Salon is a Christmas tradition that my daughter, who is now in collage, and I have had for many years. During the holidays, we really enjoyed looking back on the photos of all the past Christmas Tea we have enjoyed together and talked about this would one day not be mother/daughter tradition, but a grandmother/daughter/granddaughter tradition. The Christmas decor, children singing Christmas carols, and the wonderful staff make this a memorable experience every year.

Enjoyed the holiday tea at LeSalon at Windsor Court.

Started with an alcoholic drink(you can have non alcoholic), then our tray of mini sandwiches. Then the tea was served. It’s done differently than what I’m used to.
They don’t leave the tea pot on your table, they continuously circle refilling your cup. If the tea taste “cold” just ask them for warm tea & they’ll fill the tea pot with warm water.
Our tea service ended with the last course which was the sweets.

Our server Erin, was extremely nice & courteous. She answered any questions we had. There was a harpist playing, which was lovely.

If you vallet parked don’t forget to ask for validation of your ticket. Cost to park was $8 after validation.

Even though the holiday tea is higher than the regular tea it is well worth it. The ambiance of Christmas with music and decoration add to the celebration.

The Tea sat Windsor Court is always a nice treat. This trip the highlight was service. The cocktail was okay but not a favorite. The best of the food was the scones. The dessert tray was the most lacking of any teas I’ve attended - both in New Orleans and other places I’ve visited. Our server was a sweet attentive young woman. She was kind and wanted to please. The dedication to service is what makes one return to this iconic hotel. Again nothing compares to Tea at the Windsor Court, but the pastry chef needs a refresher. Happy holidays!

As I am a avid tea drinker and have enjoyed the English Afternoon Tea experience elsewhere, I decide to give it a try in NOLA while visiting my husband’s family for Thanksgiving. Given the price and the automatic 22% service charge the food portions were meager and the tea weak. There were four petit-four sandwiches per person, two scones per person, and six mini desserts to share between two people that included two chocolate hearts. My prior experience with the afternoon tea seemed special while this was really nothing special. With the popularity of the Great British Baking Show, there are more Anglophiles who expect a little more from an English Afternoon Tea than some British inspired paintings on the wall and the presence of the Union Jack. I would not recommend this afternoon tea for anyone who is persnickety about their tea or looking for pastry chef level pastries. The service person was as nice as can be and steeped my tea longer after I told her that it was not to my liking. I think that the service from the staff was good but the tea and the food were the stars of the show and both were lacking.

We've come to Le Salon many times over the years and generally do find it a very charming experience. This time was a little subpar, however, in a few details. Very nice in others. We're certainly not giving up, but hope this experience will be back to high standards when we return with family around Christmas time this year. The setting, the harp music, the lovely ambiance were all lovely, as we've come to expect and enjoy. However, the food was not highly delicious, it was just a bit tired and unexciting. The bread of the sandwiches seemed a stale rather than soft and fresh. The flavors were bland, nothing to delight especially. The scones were the highlight, wonderful, warm, and delicious, although one tiny pot of each jam and such were a bit limited for 4 people to share. The server, unlike previous visits, did not offer to share the tea selections among our party, and there was no 2nd pot selection as has been in the past, to my recollection. When I did say I'd still like to enjoy a 2nd choice, and so ordered one as an additional purchase, it felt as though our server thought I was a bit much. We then experienced a series of off-putting glitches with the service. Our first impression of our server was that he was charming, as was the rest of the staff. However, when our out of town visiter mentioned to him that she thought she might get a tea reading in the quarter, just "for entertainment purposes," he became very disapproving and made repeated comments about how wrong and basically wicked that was of her. He also seemed to change his demeanor for the rest of our tea service from having been warm and quite pleasant to rather distant and cold. Perhaps this was coincidence. When we went to the lady's room, my 2nd pot of tea was taken away after having had just one cup of it, and the sweets we'd asked to have in a take-away box were also disposed of. Our server argued but did return both ultimately. Just not 5 stars this time.

My husband and I enjoyed this special afternoon treat during our visit to New Orleans. It was fun to relax in the elegant atmosphere, chat and listen to romantic harp music, select from an expansive tea selection, and savor delicious bites - all served on Wedgwood bone China. There were several celebrations - a bridal shower, birthdays, a ladies church group. A highlight of the getaway weekend!
