Service and food outstanding. It was very enjoyable.
It is a 40 minute drive to Le Rondez vouz from our house but it is worth the drive once in a while. We wanted to go out with friends to a nice dinner in a nice restaurant with yummy food. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our waitress was friendly, efficient and just attentive enough. We loved the small plate offerings which were delicious and just the right size for one. It was a very enjoyable evening, I just wish this restaurant were closer to our home!!
I have been to Paris and many great cities in the U.S. for foodies, and hands down, this restaurant is my favorite. French food is my favorite and this restaurant does not EVER disappoint...very authentic and the new chef makes the most authentic and delicious French onion soup I have ever tasted. Also, the addition of small plates is brilliant, so that we can sample multiple appetizers rather than merely one. Just when I thought the food could not get any better, you out did yourself, Le Rendez-vous. Many thanks for making my birthday dinner the best. I'm sorry I cannot remember my server's name...a young fair haired man with a beard. He was slammed and managed it all with grace and professionalism. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The food was fantastic! The other couple had never been before & they loved everything about the restaurant.
I do wish that they had vegan options. That said, the chef created a special plate for me utilizing what vegetables and potatoes were available to him and it was quite good.
The food was just ok. Could have been more flavorful.
Stylish facility and outstanding food, but it tries to save pennies by serving RC Cola, no Coke or Pepsi...a big difference as a drink or mix. It keeps me from going theee more often.
It happebs my wife ordered Swordfish and it was not great. The restaurant to their credit did not charge for it. I had a country pate and sweetbreads. Both were excellent. Fairly priced wine list we ordered Rhone by Michael Charpoutier and it was good and less than $35.
We’ve enjoyed Le Rendezvous over the years and they rarely disappoint.
My 31st Birthday was well spent here. The beef wellington was wonderful and melted in your mouth.
Retirement dinner with friends
If you are fan of minute portions then this place fits the bill
First went here about six months ago, by mistake! Mixed up with a different French restaurant. We were NOT disappointed. Actually, like this place better.
Food is great. Staff is great. And, very importantly, the place is quiet. We could actually hear each other without broadcasting our conversation to the room.
This is what fine dining is all about.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere welcoming. The entire staff was friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Wide Array of choices, good value, and a helpful wait strand . The pace was relaxed. They did not rush us.
This place is a gem! Very hard to find excellent Classic French anywhere and this restaurant does it right!
Waitress was rude and said we could not be seated because they where booked. I walked out side went online and found 11 open reservations . I walked back inside and was seated.
Everyone agreed. The food was wonderful and service was good. Only complaint was the back room where we sat got very stuffy, hot and uncomfortable. Regulate the temperature in that room and it would be 5 stars.
One of the loviest evenings since we have come to Tucson seven years ago! Excellent and gracious service and divine French cuisine! Cozy, adorable place. A true gem.
Like the small plates and the soufflé, partner had special fish entree, all good.
An excellent bistro in the French tradition. The food is as good as any bistro in France, the menu offers a very good variety and the preparation shows care and skill. The service is good and the prices represent an excellent value.
Very good classic French food. Mussel appetizer was great. Chocolate balls were an excellent dessert if you love chocolate.
First let me preface by saying that my Fiancée and I ate here a year ago and had a terrific time.
This time however was appalling. Here is an abbreviated list of the things we encountered:
- Upon arriving we were told to seat ourselves even though guests who arrived behind us were ushered to their seats
- We had to wait 15 minutes before we were presented with menus
- The server told us there was no cocktail menu and only 5 wine menus in the whole restaurant so we could not hold on to the wine menu
- A member of our group asked for no salt on her meal. The server said that wouldn't be a problem. When her meal came it was over salted. The server did try to make up for it by saying he "compensated half the meal".
- When we received the bill there were errors of added items we did not ask for. They fixed it quickly and kindly comped a soufflé (which came out undercooked).
For me, most of this could be overlooked if we had just had a decent server. Our server (#005 according to the bill) was not only rude to us by his general disposition of not wanting to tend to us but also seemingly useless to all the staff that worked there. Another server (I believe his name was John) bused and tended to our table as well as all of this other tables he was serving! John was the sole positive highlight of our meal.
Overall, it was a thorough disappointment. I will not be going back.
I really enjoyed my recent experience at Le Rendez-Vous. Excellent food and service the waiters and host were really friendly and helpful.
Fabulous! Loved the atmosphere and the food was perfect!
The Dover sole was perfect. The waiter that filet the sole was definitely an expert. We enjoyed the entire meal.
Exceptional experience - food was great and the service was spot-on
We especially enjoyed the original artwork
Returned and great as always. We love the beef Wellington and escargot so much it is hard to order anything else, so we have to go more often to try other dishes!!
Is, and always was since the early 90's, my favorite restaurant in Tucson.
We went for our anniversary. Food was very good-maybe the best ever there. It was very pleasant as a quiet Tuesday. The beef was perfectly cooked. The soufflé is obscenely rich. Just a great time!
Food was wonderful. Nice ambience. We would go there again.
Excellent food and service
CHARMING. DELICIOUS. FRIENDLY. ATTENTIVE, BUT NOT INVASIVE. TOP OF THE FAVORITE RESTAURANT LIST!
As usual the food was excellent. We were very well attended to by Vanessa who was helpful and gave us the time we needed to make up our minds and enjoy a lovely meal. The moules were particularly good this time.
best French in Tucson. Filet au poivre is superb. Great soufflé deserts
I have going to Le Rendezvous for twenty years. The food is great and the wine list extensive. The prices at good especially the wine costs are very reasonable.
Nice place and food was excellent but waiter completely ignored us. Other room with white tablecloths seemed nicer
Love it! Our first choice for lunch or dinner always. Good central location from Green Valley meeting folks from North Tucson.
This a very pleasant, upscale restaurant with excellent service and a quiet atmosphere.
An authentic French restaurant in the middle of Tucson. I had a chicken & brie sandwitch which was very filling along with crepe suzette for dessert. The food was of high quality. The service was very good too.
