   Mother's Day Fixed menu. Very Expensive. Food just average with a few exceptions. Crab Cakes good . Sauce excellent. Main courses were good. All encroute choices very tough. Desserts generally good with the exception of Crepes which were burnt and bitter. When you pay for a meal at the cost of $119.00 you expect a meal worthy of that price.

   Special "Mother's Day Menu" was outstanding. Not only the variety of offerings, but also the quality. My wife and I had different choices from the four menu choices from the four each different offerings. And they were superb! Natasha, our main server was outstanding and repeatedly checked if we needed anything & whether we were happy with the food, etc.; despite the fact the restaurant was full to overflowing and all were very busy. The only negative aspect was that they had run out of our favourite Margaux, but we settled for a quite drinkable Pommard instead.

   We had a delightful Mother's Day dinner. The restaurant was very accommodating after a flat tire and a highway accident made us a half hour late for our reservation. Our server was great and very informative. The meal was terrific and excellently prepared. The dining room allowed for an intimate dinner with my wife. Our first time but not our last.

   We had another lovely early evening birthday celebration for my wife this past Saturday and were reminded why we keep coming back. We took another couple, and we all really enjoyed the wonderful food and excellent service by Chelsea and her colleagues. We all started with a fresh side salad, and, for our entrees, my wife had the grilled branzino special while I had the regular salmon. Our friends enjoyed the Chateau Briand. Each course came out together, and all were perfectly prepared. The beef was very rare, just the way our friends wanted it. We all had wine from the restaurant's excellent list--a sparkling rose for my wife, French Sauvignon Blanc for me, and a bold red blend for our friends. For desert, my wife and our friends had chocolate soufflé while I had the Grand Mariner soufflé. Coffee and a sip of cognac for my wife concluded our delightful dinner.

   Todo delicioso como siempre, en especial los escargots, los mejillones, el Salmón y, por último, el soufflé grand maniere, exquisito postre

   Not sure what was happening at this visit. Our reservations were for 5:30; the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. But after we ordered, we were informed that they were out of the posted fish of the day and were given an option. Also, I ordered a half bottle of chardonnay; a few minutes later I was informed that they were out of that as well. It was only slightly annoying, but not expected of a restaurant of this caliber. The food was excellent, as usual. Le Rendez-vous is one of my favorites in Tucson.

   We had six small plates. What a wonderful way to try a variety of food. The entire staff was fantastic!! We highly recommend this restaurant.
