About Le Relais
Situated in the historic airport terminal of Bowman Field, Le Relais offers a fine dining experience like no other in Louisville. Here you’ll find exquisite French cuisine, prepared with only the finest, freshest ingredients, combined with relaxed, first-class service and an intimate, 1940s art-deco interior reminiscent of the café from the movie “Casablanca”.
For a more romantic view of the airport, watch the planes land in the sunset with our outdoor dining on the deck. With a little imagination, you can see it exactly as Charles Lindbergh did when he landed the "Spirit of St. Louis" here in 1927.

Le Relais Ratings and Reviews
Nice restaurant… Have not been there in quite some years. Appreciated the informative help with wine. Staff was very friendly and attentive. However the lamb chops and steak were disappointing. But the escargot, crab cake, foie gras and the salmon were fantastic! Had a fun evening overall.
It was our first time at Le Relais after living in Louisville for over 20 years. We had heard great things about the restaurant and decided to have a date night there last Saturday evening.
What a great choice - everything was exceptional. The food, service, ambiance, surroundings, wine selection and on and on and on.
We cannot say enough good things and will undoubtedly be going back there soon.
The service and atmosphere were excellent. The food was good, but very small portions except for the salad. I ordered the Prongs for an appetizer, however, they were not Prongs. At best they were small shrimp. They were very good, and the aoli sauce was wonderful. But, Prongs, they were not. We also ordered the Rack of Veal, which typically has 6 ribs. But our order only consisted of 4. The meat was the size of a quarter on each rib. Good flavor, but again, very small portion. We enjoyed our evening as it was for a special occasion. But will not likely return.
Le Relais once again earns high marks! Le Relais provides a consistently delicious, creative meal with a warm personal ambience. The escargot was exquisite, cocktails that rival any in the city, and dessert that only the French can achieve! Will be back soon!
Very disappointed in LeRelais. Food was good but the service was terrible! Waited forever for our entrees. Doubt we will return. For the amount of money charged, we expected more. If we are going to spend that much, we would rather go to Vincenzo’s. They are worthy of 5 stars for all categories.
Lovely restaurant! This is a wonderful restaurant for dinner on Sunday evening. They have a nice little jazz band that plays for a couple of hours. The menu has been re-worked and has a variety of offerings. Many of the entrees offer a full and half portion. The wine list has been updated and Anthony is always there to help you select the best wine to go with the food. This restaurant is worth your time and money. Prices are reasonable and food quality is excellent. The specials are always worth a try. I tired the salmon and it was very good. The soup special was a potato soup and it was very good.
Don't wait another minute to treat yourself to a memorable night out! Le Relais is really wonderful, staff included. The meal looks every bit as delicious as it tastes, and the service is second to none. I wouldn't wait for a special occasion to enjoy this treasure. Try the" touch and go" cocktail and experience the beauty of this French Bistro located at Bowman Field. Enjoy!
