I ordered the soft-shelled crabs and was disappointed. The crabs were breaded and the breading flavor dominated the flavor from the crabs. Other food such a s mussels, pear salad and grand Marnier souffle were well prepared. Wine selection by owner was spot on.

The service was fabulous. In general, the ambience is lovely however, it was so loud and has been the last two or three visits. It’s hard to hear your guests speak. I found myself shouting to be heard over the tables around me. The duck was exceptional however the, white fish was mediocre at best. The portion was extremely small and the fish was overcooked and dry. I am sure we will return. However, I don’t know how likely we are to dine there on the weekend anymore.

1st time there. Main Room is very pretty - very Parisian. Food was absolutely delicious (large and varied Menu - food beautifully presented, quality, large size portions - very reasonably priced. Wine list includes well known high end wines some of which are priced just a little above retail prices - some fine wines priced below Gelson's super market prices - lol! Sat next to a lovely couple who said they have been there a hundred times. At their suggestion ordered mussels to start and eggplant tart. Best mussels ever and eggplant tart could have been a full meal. main courses. Because of portion size of appetizers, we downsized our original main orders of lamb shank and salmon in a potato crust to wagyu burger w/frites and crab cakes. We had the hot apple tart w/vanilla ice-cream and it was out of this world - made fresh for you - omg!

I went for lobster night on Tuesdays. They will remove the meat from the shell if you chose not to undergo the experience of cracking open the lobster, even though they slice it open from the back for easy access. I had escargot and the French pear salad with it. Jay, the owner, came by to say hello. I wish his cologne fragrance was toned down a bit, fortunately he didn't stay around when the food was on the table, lol. We sat in the enclosed area inside the entrance off the sidewalk as it is quieter than the main room. An older couple brought in their adorable chihuahua-terrier mix dog Clementine. She was so well trained and stayed under the table. She made for a lovely exchange with her owners. The place looks magical inside when the sun sets, such a great ambience, and a nice overall experience. It was my second visit to Le Petite, and I will surely be returning.

The food is very good but often larger portions than we would ideally want. Not ones to take home carefully prepared food. The service is excellent. We know them so the friendliness is especially nice. I think it’s all well worth the cost which in my world is moderate.

We love this restaurant and it continues to deliver. The food is delicious - perfectly flavored and balanced. We had the Fig & Burrata salad which was fresh and yummy. My son had the Wagyu Beef Burger, cooked perfectly and I had the wonderful Chicken Mushroom Alfredo. Dessert was perfection. We've eaten here before and will come again The service is also excellent. Understated and attentive. Just the right amount of space and cordiality. Not stuffy. :) The decor is a perfect French Bistro so you feel at home for a special dinner, a romantic dinner of dinner with the kids. My 15 year old loved it. This is a gem in Sherman Oaks!

We were so pleasantly surprised when we went back this past Saturday night, after not going in to eat for years. We had stayed away for years due to the noise level. The food had always been delicious and we missed it. Our server, Peter, was outstanding in his manner, attitude, professionalism, service and was just plain nice! The food was exactly as we remembered, delicious! We will definitely go back but just be selective on which night of the week. So glad they're still in business.

The menu is comprehensive with dishes for all tastes. It is however full of spelling errors in whatever French words they use. For a very reasonable fee, I am available to correct these errors. The service was attentive and not obtrusive.
