Half the meal was delicious and half was not. The filet was delivered cold and obviously had sat a while. It was returned overcooked possibly just a bad cut of meat. No apology or consideration given for poor dinner. Very disappointed

This is a little gem of a restaurant. All our selections were exceptional. Enjoyed the variety of choices and so glad we were able to relax and savor the food without feeling rushed. Desserts are a must!!!

The menu sounded great but we were disappointed by the seafood dishes we ordered. The mussels in wine and garlic was bland and too watery. The scallops were overcooked and yet somehow also mushy on the sides..We really wanted to like it and it was for my mother's birthday so was especially disappointing, particularly given the expense. Maybe seafood is not the specialty of this restaurant? The grilled vegetable salad was very good though. Sorry.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time and we were very impressed. The atmosphere was perfect including the music and the lighting. We also really enjoyed our food. We both had the onion soup and it was incredible. I had the lobster ravioli and it was probably the best I had, and the portion was perfect. The sauce it was served with was also really impressive. My boyfriend had the salmon and veggies and he loved them too. Unfortunately we were both too full for dessert but we will definitely be heading back soon!

Online it said the prix fixe was $45 but it was $50 plus an automatic 20% gratuity. Not fair, Le Persil.

Absolutely top quality food. However our server was very odd. Totally unprofessional..which made us feel uncomfortable, however she seemed quite junior. We were subsequently served by a very efficient server so much was redeemed

Went here for a romantic dinner/date night with my husband, we were both extremely pleased with the entire evening. The food was amazing, and it was cooked to perfection, even difficult items like salmon, scallops, escargot and chocolate souffle. Flavors were pared well together and serving size was just enough to feel satisfied. BYOB allowed us to bring a bottle we wanted, and the service and ambiance were pleasant and added to the dining experience. We will definitely be going back for any special nights out!

We were looking for a place to eat and found this restaurant on OpenTable. We decided to try it and we were pleasantly surprised. The decor is a bit challenging and could use something but the food and the service were superb!!I wish I had paid attention to the BYOB since in PA you cannot buy wine just anywhere. We had a great dinner and never missed the wine!

We were the only ones there. Then discovered it was a BYOBband the nearest wine store was two blocks away. We decided that we would not have a drink and enjoy the time together and the food. I specifically asked if there was anything on the menu that was not available due to the fact we were the only ones there. We were told everything on the menu was available. We had water and waited. Ten to fifteen minutes later the server came out to tell me what I ordered was unavailable. "Thank you very much," and we left.

We discovered this little French bistro last summer and returned again last week. The food is excellent! The first time I had the Coquilles St Jacques and Coq au Vin and my husband the Escargots and Crab Croquettes-all delish. Last week we shared the Shrimp with Avocado Salsa appetizer and had Bouef Bourguignon and Poulet Cordon Bleu as entrees; all we wonderful. We can't wait to go back and try something else! Surprisingly the BYOB was nearly empty at our last visit-hard to figure since this is extraordinaryly good French cuisine.

My husband and I were in Stroudsburg, PA for a wedding, and we needed a place to eat dinner. I chose Le Persil Bistro randomly. I haven't eaten many meals in my life that produced joy. This one did. The food was exquisite. Delicious. Uncomplicated. Good ingredients lovingly prepared. Highly recommend.

This was our 2nd visit. We were extremely pleased both visits. Best French onion soup ever. It was flavorful and not dark and salty. My friend had escargot appetizer both times and said it was the best he ever had. The entrees were all delicious. I just have to say heads up on some desserts that need to be ordered morning of reservations like apple tart as well as some others. If we resized that we would have although the crepes with berries were delicious.

The food at Le Persil was good, but the room was a little too bright. Perhaps if they dimmed the lights a bit then the ambiance would have been more suited to the restaurant fare and overall atmosphere. The Escargot was delicious and our waitress was very attentive!!!

Excellent minimalist experience. This lovely small French restaurant is clean and intimate. The young lady who served us was excellent and very accommodating. The food (this is where the minimalist comes in) is traditional French classics served without fuss or frill but cooked to perfection. From the escargot to the franchese and the filet. All perfection. We will certainly be back.

My boyfriend & I were staying in the Poconos for the weekend. We were looking for a good restaurant to have dinner. I opened my OpenTable app & the first restaurant listed was Le Persil. We looked at few other restaurants but this place had the best reviews & the menu was most appealing to us.

When we arrived, we were greeted right away. Our hostess was also our waitress & she was very corteous & attentive.

My boyfriend ordered the steamed mussels for appetizer & I the caesar salad with bacon. Both were delicious. For entrees, we ordered the salmon & pasta with grilled chicken in an alfredo sauce. Delicous as well! For dessert, we order the creme brulee &, you guessed it, delicious!

Great service, great portion sizes & loved the ambiance! We would definitely return on our next trip to the Poconos.

The ONLY con was the parking. There was a small lot but other than that your other option was street parking so give yourself to find a space when you visit.

Enjoy!

We had dinner there last Friday. Our soups were served at such a hot temperature that it took too long to eat before our main course and we also burned the roofs of our mouths trying to hurry up eating it before the main course. The main courses were nothing special - the chicken paillard and filet mignon. We wish that the menu were changed up a bit. Also, the restaurant dining area itself was so cold - something minor perhaps but also one more thing that attention should be paid to.

This is the absolute best place to eat in Stroudsburg! Everything from the waitress to the last drop of sauce was amazing as always! The waitress is attentive and personable. My only complaint is the dessert selection was almost sold out. We will definitely be back!

Our reservation was at 6:00, at 7:50 we still did not have our dinners. We were going to a show at 8:00 (which the restaurant was aware of), so we paid for the appetizer and salad (which took over an hour) and left.

Each time we visit the feedback goes nowhere We waited one hour and twenty min for steak dinner and crab cakes. 3 tables taken in entire restaurant.
Beet salad has hardly any dressing. Spoke to waitress and basically nothing in response other than I'm sorry. We will not go back

It took about 40 minutes to be served our appetizers. Food was fair at best. One meal was missing a side. Waitress was aware but never brought it. Atmosphere was nice and quaint.

Delightful! My wife and my favorite restaurant in Stroudsburg. We enjoy the French-style cuisine and the quiet, clean and unassuming atmosphere. The waitress was extremely nice and attentive. The historic window front adds a touch of charm to the room, providing an interesting view while also inviting interest for those passing by without being intrusive. Someday (in better weather) I'd like to try to outside dining for lunch. It the street and neighborhood across the street is improved, it would be hard to beat this place and location.
Since Antelleo's in Del Water Gap town closed, no restaurant compares to this place.

We definitely enjoyed our meal at Le Persil and will go back and try some other things. I had the Coquilles St Jacques as an appetizer and was disappointed-it was not creamy and I did not think the watery broth complimented the scallops. My entree, Coq au Vin, was superb and made up for a so-so beginning. My husband had the Escargots as an appetizer and they were delicious-best he's ever had he said. His entree was disappointing, however. He had crab cakes which contained a good deal of breading. I think the rule of thumb here is to stick to the French dishes of which there are many to choose from.

The restaurant was cute and with byob relatively inexpensive. I had hoped the food would be good, but it was very mediocre. The beets in the beet salad were almost inedible and the onion soup just so-so. The entrees were decent. The potatoes au gratin for an extra $12 as a side were lousy.
