It’s very hard not to like Le Pavillon, easy to find, easy to park, generous portions, great violinist and pleasant waitstaff. Wine list could use a little broadening and the evening we were there was only moderately busy, so not a complete test. However, next time we are in St Augustine we will definitely go again for sure. It’s high ratings are well earned.
Spent my birthday there while on vacation from Key West. Everyone and everything was perfect. From the server to the food, desert as well, was excellent. I will definitely return and will tell friends that plan on a visit to Saint Augustine.
Food was good, not great, portions small. Bar was very nice and the bartender (woman) was delightful. Our waitress , Maddy) was enthusiastic and very efficient. The owner/manager?? was the drawback. He interfered with the bartender bossed the wait staff around and did it rudely and in front of customers. Suggest they fix the portions and tone down the boss.
Wonderful service, friendly atmosphere, great food.
We travel to St Augustine at least once a year and always eat at Pavillion. Our favorite place there.
Exceptional Oysters Rockefeller and Boulliabase paired with Prilosec and a superb waiter named Peter made Our dinner and theater "big night out" a real treat!
We were greeted immediately upon our entrance into the restaurant and were entertained by a violinist from the get-go. The appetizer, Havarti shrimp, was spectacular, and our main meals were healthy portioned and delicious as well. Good service, nice atmosphere, priced reasonably, especially with our Local Flavor coupon, and great food.
We have been going here for many years with my parents and now with our children ! It has wonderful memories for us and the food, service and ambiance are lovely.
Excellent for German, Swiss and French (Euro) cuisine.
A favorite for over 35 years. Never a bad meal.
Scallops were prepared to perfection. Salad with citrus vinaigrette was scrumptious. Chocolate mousse was mouth watering. Best coffee. Tristan is a fabulous server, anticipated all our needs and was very attention.
Unfortunately we had to send our steaks back twice. The server got our order incorrect, even with writing it down. The wrong dressing, the wrong drinks, and the steaks prepared incorrectly. There were two different types of music going at the same time. This was our 40th anniversary and I was hoping to surprise my wife with a lovely dinner. It didn’t happen. It was a poor ending to an otherwise wonderful day in St. Augustine.
Very good quality and variety. Their signature rack of lamb was excellent as was their boullabaisse. Good quality and well priced wine list, as was the menu. Service was equally well done. A good choice for quality dining.
The food and service was top notch at this restaurant! I took my wife there for her birthday as a surprise, and was very glad that I did. She had the Shrimp, Scallop, & Crab Diablo w/ Linguine, I had the Sauerbraten and Spatzle w/ Red Cabbage, and we also ordered the Crab Cake appetizer. The food was excellent!! The wait staff was very attentive and kind as well. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend this restaurant. If you get there before 6:00 PM on the weekend days, say around 5:00, you can take advantage of the early bird prices for many of the menu items.
Our first visit was terrific. The service was great and the food even better. Definitely will be back.
The evening was wonderful. The service was excellent and the food elegant. We started with Brie followed with rack of Lamb. Ending the evening with Creme Brulee and a local Port.
Although all of the food is wonderful, the rack of lamb and onion soup are my favorites. The soup is hot, and the lamb is incredibly tender. I get it at least once a year. Excellent spot if you are looking for something a bit different in St. Augustine.
Excellent service and a great menu. , also drinks, appetizers and entre s were served very promptly.
For sure we will be back.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Food was excellent as was the service. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful dinner at Le Pavillon. Server was excellent as was the food. I would especially recommend the lamb.
Loved food and Christian, our server. Everything was fresh. Had grouper and pasta. Delicious food and great staff.
Very good overall.
I was in St Augustine visiting family members from out of town. I used my Open Table app to find a place for dinner. Le Pavillon came up. I read the menu and decided to make a reservation. I ordered the steak with bleu cheese. It was absolutely fantastic. Everything was delicious from the bread to the salad, the entree and finally the dessert. My father in law had the same entree. Every time he took a bite of the steak, he said "the is delicious." I highly recommend this restaurant. I definitely plan on going back very soon.
THE ROOM WAS QUIET FOR NICE CONVERSATION. THE WAITER WAS VERY ATTENTIVE. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.
Always great, always consistent.
The rack of lamb was especially juicy, as promised by our excellent waiter. All other dishes were excellent, especially the key lime pie. The waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and added some spice to the meal decisions.
This was our 2nd visit to LePavillon. Christian was our server and he was very good and attentive. The menu is varied with a European bias. Good price point for most items.
Nice menu, specially the escargots. Food is OK, looking good , good portions , the food was just warm or cold served , very disappointing. The waiters comment: it was hot in the kitchen, but he will let the chef know, that was it. I told him I don't care how it is in the kitchen, I care how it is on the table.
The so called veil had so much flour breading we were not sure what the meat was. We pointed this out and nothing was done about it. They did not care.
Everything was Great! We will definitely be back!
The early dinner menu is an exceptional value. Authentic German/Austrian dishes are hard to come by these days and this restaurant offers delicious traditional entrees as well as an assortment of other fare with a great variety of wines. Live music, keyboardist with vocals is a nice touch.
We first visited your restaurant back in the early 1990's. It has only gotten better. We visit you EVERY time we come to St. Augustine. We plan to visit on an annual basis and we always stay at the Casablanca.
Cory was just wonderful as our server. He was energetic, very knowledgeable on the menu items and fun to converse with. We will ask for him on our next visit!
Thank you for another wonderful evening,
Paul & Linda Dimouro

We had a group of 12 and they gave us a table in a back room so that we were by ourselves and didn’t disturb the other diners. Our reservation was for 6:15pm and were pleasantly surprised to be able to get happy hour prices at our table. A lot of our party ordered the French onion soup as an appetizer and enjoyed it immensely. Everyone complimented the entrees that they ordered (veal dishes and the German platter were just a few of the orders). The gentleman that serenaded us with his violin had good background tunes and would take requests. Their parking lot next to the restaurant is a big plus. Being able to satisfy a party of 12, with everyone happy with their dinners, makes this a place where we would return.
The food was good and the server was attentive. The filet was prepared as requested, as well as the other meals
It was a nice dining experience - good food, good service, pleasant atmosphere.
I ordered their signature dish which was rack of lamb and it was not good. The only good thing was the ambiance. Service was not good either
Great food for the price. Excellent and helpful staff. Would definitely go back again when in St. Augustine.
Tho' we live in St Augustine, we had never tried Le Pavillon for some unknown reason. It has been a fixture on the restaurant horizon for quite some time although it is under new ownership since the original family sold. Service was excellent: He was knowledgable and willing to offer opinions when asked. Portions were more than ample and tastefully presented. The ambiance is quiet and refined as it is in an old Victorian house with small rooms as well as larger areas. Recommend this restaurant if you like German, French or Swiss cuisine.
So happy we discovered Le Pavillon. The quiet and homey dining room was very reminiscent of the many wonderful restaurants we enjoyed during a three year assignment to Germany. The table settings, furnishings and overall atmosphere made dining and conversation a pleasure. The authentic German cuisine was terrific although the spazille was unique. The sauerbraten and schnitzel were spot on. Can't say enough about our world class, professional waiter, Christian. He was knowledgeable, helpful and most attentive. His suggestions were appreciated and his description of the entrees and desserts were complete and, frankly, mouth watering. Such a pleasure to be greeted and served by a true professional.
Food was good, with a good menu variety. Service was very attentive, and prices were reasonable. Our party of 6 enjoyed the dinner.
