This restaurant is permanently closed. Formerly known as Bistro du Nord, the owner P. Laurent has re-invented the decor, food, and ambiance, creating a delightfully modern Parisian style bistro, "Le Paris." The menu offers new and improved dishes as well as the previous three course Pre-Theater Menu, served 5-7p.m. daily. The classic bistro fare includes duck confit, moules marinieres, steak tartar, grilled black angus au poivre, Kobe burger, lamb shank, calf liver, oysters, as well as a tempting fromage du jour and a large selection of wines by the glass or bottle at very reasonable prices. In addition, you can prepare your own fish or meat dishes, "simply done" with a choice of sauce and garnitures. At "Le Paris" you will feel transported to a romantic riverside table in Paris, complete with strains of music francaise and twinkling candlelight - a truly memorable dinning experience.

A generally decent neighborhood french restaurant. The Easter Brunch pre-fix was a decent deal and the food was tasty. I had the steak tartare and my wife had the smoked salmon eggs. The portions were good sized and generally pretty tasty. I would go back

I had the Salmon and string beans and that was the best Salmn I ever had. My husband's steak had a good flavor but he said it was difficult to cut and chew. The salad was quite delicious, too. The service was excellent; we would eat there again...for the Salmon.

I went for Valentine's Day with my wife to this restaurant. It was our first time at the restaurant. It is a small restaurant with a cute layout. The food was good but over priced in my opinion. The waitress gave great food recommendations. We took our own bottle of wine and there was a small corking fee of $20.

Rather similar to Pascalou three doors down. Only sour note was the cost. I'm going to start writing down the prices given on the internet menu and holding places to them.

Delicious food as always. The Coq au Vin is better than in France and onion soup is to perfect for chilly weather. The only downside is that the tall blonde waitress seemed to rush us, even though plenty of tables were available.

Le Paris is a neighborhood French restaurant that is neo bistro in atmosphere and menu. I say neo because it is a small place (bar and a few tables street level, more tables on flight up) with a modest but comprehensive menu and daily specials which are usually the way to go (but the pre fixe menu is the cheapest way to go). The service is exceptionally friendly and a single diner will feel comfortable here.

Had lunch today with four friends- everyone left very happy! The onion soup was perfect, steak tartar was great, moules frites super as were all the lunch salads! Perfect destination after a visit to the Jewish Museum around the corner.

Liked most of it.
I wish the dishwasher was awake that day. Fish-smell wine glass and dirty plates ruined the whole experience of the restaurant. Also, we ordered medium-rare but they cooked to super well-done. these are critical mistakes a restaurant can make.

Well, although we've eaten there many, many time, we hadn't been there in about a year. I was excited to look at their menu on Open Table, noticing they had seemingly changed it back to what it was a few years ago when it was a great place. Well. The menu on Open Table was an old one and in fact the menu Friday night is exactly why we stopped going.

I'll say the Onion Soup was good (not great mind you) and I had it with the minute steak from the pre theatre menu, which was horrible, embarrassing for a restaurant to serve. My wife's dinner was equally forgettable.

In addition, they've taken their by the glass Red wine prices up to the $14-$16 range, very pricey for what the place is.

We won't be going back. Too bad.

They have a lot of new staff so obviously working out the kinks.
The atmosphere has changed from a serene neighborhood dining place to a bit more frenetic including the music...my issue with them at the moment is that they did not give me Open Table credit...over all still a good neighborhood restaurant.

Went to this place for a brunch date. The food was amazing the service was a bit strange due to the fact that one waiter kind of just dropped off a cappuccino at our table and walked away. He didn't even ask who it was for. We had to call over another waitress to make sure it was a cappuccino and then we had to switch drinks to get our order right. It was unnecessary extra work. Our food took quite a while to get to us and our server kept forgetting things we had asked him for. Which is understandable since it seemed to be busy. Overall everything was good and the atmosphere of the place is nice.

Generally charming and welcoming but upstairs is always too crowded, hot and noisy. On this evening, the fabulous front downstairs table they saved for us (and I had requested) would have been too cold whenever someone entered so we sat upstairs. The entire place was jumping with noise; the table next to us had drunk and were so loud it overpowered the room, and the young seemingly inexperienced waiter seemed not to have his act together. The place was so hot we ate very quickly once we got our food and raced out. This is generally a favorite neighborhood place but winter night make it too uncomfortably claustrophobic.

A very good value (between 5 and 7) for three course meals. Along with friends of ours, we have been eating at Paris Bistro for years. The food is always very good as are the wait staff and friendly atmosphere.

Saturday brunch was relaxed and cozy-- conjured memories of Paris. The food was quite good (crepes, fries and champagne), upstairs setting was charming, and the price quite right.
