Award winning local beef, pasta, seafood, desserts & craft cocktails. Hot bar, 100 bourbons with tastings. Beautiful ambiance, outdoor dining, and the bac
Anniversary dinner with my wife. They gave us complimentary champagne to start the evening to celebrate. From there everything was perfect. Excellent service from all, and the food was amazing. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back...soon!
Our server was very good and polite. However the food came out cold and had to be sent back in and instead of replacing the food with new they heated it up and was not very good. I took my meal home and pitched it the next day. This was my anniversary dinner to celebrate 36 years and wished we would have selected another restaurant. Other then the desert we ordered for the table which was very good. Everything was overpriced and sub par.
Steve was our waiter and he was fantastic!
Le Moo has fine food & a great “space”. However, I expect exceptional service when my bill for 2 people is $196. Service was poor. We walked in & were “greeted” by a host(hostess?) who had the personality of a paper plate & it seemed we were inconveniencing them from doing absolutely nothing else. They tried to seat us in a side area that had a large, loud birthday party. Why would you seat anyone in that area when you are not busy? I don’t want to celebrate someone’s birthday. I don’t want to be near loud celebrating people. So we asked to be seated elsewhere (again it seemed we were causing such a problem. We ended up in a booth in the bar area. Our server was nice, pleasant. However his attention to us was way below standard. We waited a long time for drinks. Our salads came quickly our steaks took forever. It took forever to get 2nd cocktails. And they weren’t busy - just seemed like a general lack of attention. Customer care standards should be higher than this when the restaurant is so expensive- I feel I’m paying not just for food, but also for experience. Le Moo failed at the experience.
Food tasted wonderful, would definitely recommend for someone looking for a special occasion restaurant and really well prepared steak!
My new favorite place to have brunch!! It was wonderful.
I had brunch here and it is a Steak restaurant, I ordered the omelet with the Filet and was told that they are out of the Filet. So I ordered the same omelet with bacon and they sent the wrong omelet. Strike 3 the waiter did not come back after that until the bill was ready. The place is beautiful and the Mimosa was awesome for the money. I will give them a second chance but my first experience was disappointing!
Had a reservation for 8pm on Saturday 3/16 for 10 people and did not get seated until 8:45. The manager gave us free appetizers for our wait but we had an entire night planned out and the rest of the night that we were late to because of dinner. When we got there they claimed our table was being set up and would be ready shortly. 3 different people in our group spoke with the manager about what was going on and why we had to wait so long. We were told there was a party still sitting at a table they needed to set our seating arrangements up with and they had paid but were just lounging around and not leaving. Then as we were standing there waiting for our table, a table of 13 was seated before us because "that was the only place a party that size could be seated." Absolutely unacceptable. We had a reservation I made weeks in advance for a reason. The third time we talked to the manager he then got snippy and sarcastic with us which also was not appreciated. The service afterwards though was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. We still had a good experience as far as food and service from the waiter but was very upset with the way we were treated and the wait we had.
We had the best time at Le Moo! We were in town for an event and it happened to be my birthday. They were very accommodating, the service was great, and our food was great as well!!! Thanks to the staff at Le Moo for making my birthday very special. BTW...we never had queso and pork rinds before and we are all going to have to do that again.
Le Moo is well located with plenty of parking. It is known for its excellent beef and it lived up to its fine reputation. We were pleasantly surprised to find the by the glass wine selections reasonably priced. Our party of five had two choice steaks, two prime and one American Wagyu. All were excellent. The prime is worth the extra money and so good that you really dont have to spring for the $78 10 oz American Wagyu filet. It was my birthday though and they credited your age against the cost of your entree so the Wagyu entree was practically free. It was superb.
I recommend Le Moo for special occasions and whenever you have a yen for fine beef. It also has a great salmon and a daily fish special. On my last visit I had the sea bass and it was excellent. This time they had corvina but we were an all beef table and so I can't tell you how it was.
Best steak my husband and I have ever had! Amazing! We highly recommend.
Food incredible. Drinks also incredible. And service second to none.
It was very good food but too pricey for what it was worth. I get very good food at Texas Road at half the price. The service however is outstanding. Everything else was great.
Bar area by the patio door is not the place to sit if you want to be comfortable. The door to the patio where employees and bar patrons go out to smoke causes drafts on cold days. We mentioned it to management and they tried to make things better, but after the door opened for the 3rd time (twice after we mentioned it) we asked to be moved to the dining room side and enjoyed our meal. All servers were very good and the food was wonderful. Try the Starter......WAGYU Pigs in a Blanket with the bacon jam.....they are so good! Ask for yellow mustard on the side (It completes the dish IMO) :)
Awesome service. Food was great.
Food and service was excellent as usual. Price is quite affordable for a Sunday brunch. Wide selection of breakfast and lunch meals. Kids menu is great and they love the food.
There for a birthday dinner for my mother. Sister and her husband also with us. The one thing that made the night was our server Jamie! She was great. Personable. Interactive with us. Kept up with our drinks and didn’t come by too much. Food was Great as usual. Tried he Mexican mocha for dessert .. NICE! Was a great night. Thoroughly enjoyed our time
Phenomenal food and great service. Perfect for a special occasion.
One of our favorite dining places in Louisville. The food, service and atmosphere are always at the highest quality.
Awesome place. Great service. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Think$135 is a bit much when we shared a meal. Overpriced but delicious! If I go back it will probably be for brunch since so expensive
The Prime Fillet was the best I ever had. It was so soft and delicious, I saved it for last like dessert. The loaded baked potatoes were very good as was the asparagus. However, for the price, I didn't get that much asparagus. Service was exceptional and was very friendly.
Loved everything about Le Moo. Great service, food and ambiance. Few things that are out of the ordinary: choose your own French or English steak knife, food valet ticket for left overs that you pick up at hostess stand on your way out and check served to you in a romance novel which was fun to read a page out loud.
Birthday special of your age off of your entree for a table of four was a great incentive. The food and service were both excellent. Plenty of parking was a plus as was the moderate noise level. Place is on the pricey side but worth it.
Best Dinner so far.
They ran out of glasses and had to reuse our drink glasses several times. This restaurant should have enough dishwasher to wash enough glass to not have reuse mine three different times when tables around me are empty!!!!!!
Chef Chris is my favorite!! Love his team snd their cooking! My grandmother loved her birthday brunch!
We’ve always had very good service and wonderful food, we usually only go for brunch this time we did dinner. This was our second time doing dinner, ordered burgers and they were way too salty other than that everything else was wonderful.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Service was top notch, food was outstanding and worth every penny. I could cut my steak with my fork, best steak in Louisville!
The food was outstanding, however the service for the price point was was off. The server that delivered our appetizer barely stopped moving to deliver the plate. When our main courses came, the plates were just plopped down in front of us. We both were unimpressed with the service as a whole.
Fun and eclectic atmosphere. Great mimosas and excellent brunch!
Had a very nice time with family. Cool venue and nice menu. Enjoyed the food overall.
Food was very good...service was excellent..foil on baked potatoe was Anouilh!
Service was ok. Not the best but definitely not the worst. We had a reservation for 6 people. As we were placing our order we were informed they ran out of baked potatoes. (4/6 of us ordered that). That was a let down especially since we had made a reservation and that was one of the reasons we chose this restaurant. They said they would comp our potatoes “next time”. I’m sure we will return just not sure when. I’ve had brunch there before which was amazing I just wasn’t impressed with this dinner visit.
Our server, Brad, was very attentive but not overwhelming so. Had spectacular dinner. Highly recommend!
Great meal as always!
Birthday and welcoming two new people to Louisville
Our first visit and we received a gift card. We enjoyed the dinner though the restaurant was just a slight bit too cool. Our main course arrived before our bread starter.
Love the idea of this restaurant, but had a poorly managed meal last night. Went in with early reservations to cap a fun-filled and busy day - and it all started well. We ordered a ceasar to start and their special dry-aged steak that came with scallops and topped with a mushroom melody. It sounded tasty, we were looking forward to splitting the special even with a $10 kitchen surcharge.
About half way thru our salad, and about ten minutes into our stay, our dinner came out - it was very rushed. We were still working on our drinks and my husband wasn't even halfway thru his salad. We didn't have room for all the plates on our small table for two. In looking at our dinner plates, we didn't see the scallops and wondered if we had the right dish. Due to two large parties, we couldn't find either our server or his helper for several minutes. As our food was getting cold, we finally tracked down the helper - who heard our questions and disappeared. About five minutes later the manager showed up with two scallops on a side dish. Pretty lame presentation. I asked about the mushroom melody (again - did we even get the right thing?) and rather than answer my question, the manager took off and after a few minutes brought us a side dish of mushrooms. And told us we were "welcome to enjoy them" even though we didn't order it. Huh?! That was the last straw.
At this point I was unhappy. This lack of attention was unexpected based on both the price and reputation of LeMoo. When our waiter finally came back around to check on us, our food was cold as well as our attitudes. We aired our grievances, received apologies (we actually DID order the special, it somehow didn't get into the computer correctly) and our meal was comped. No charge. At this point we had both lost our appetites and just got up and left with most of the cold food sitting on our table.
I won't be planning any more celebrations here - too risky. Such a shame, we had high hopes for this place.
