The food was hands down the best ever! The drinks just the same, our server on the other was really nice, but he just did not check on us. We were there to celebrate getting married and I requested thier help in making it really special. The lady who sat us congratulated us, but our server didn't mention a thing and all we had was a note on the table that said happy anniversary. I was honestly disappointed, I've been here before for these types of celebrations and they went above and beyond. Unfortunately for us they did not.
Went to Le Moo in Louisville, Ky at 4:55 for a 5:00 reservation- was told that they didn’t open until 5:00! Seriously?! Told us to “Come back” - As If! Will never go back to a place that can’t get basic 101 customer Service! Embarrassed for them! Absolutely Deplorable & Unacceptable......ended up at Agave & Rye - Excellent service & food!!
We have been before and it is always good. But this time it was extraordinary. Maybe because we haven’t been out much? Who knows. Jill was awesome and the food was amazing. Only negative was screaming kids which you can’t control (and apparently neither can their parents).
We will be back soon.
Great restaurant great food. We always enjoy going to Le Moo.
Filet was the best I’ve ever had. Signature drinks are great and loved the steak tartar.
Great food, a little pricey but the entree was definitely worth every penny.
We (family of 4) ate at Le Moo for Mother’s Day and it was fantastic! Our server Nirmesh was attentive, knowledgeable, and charismatic. And of course the food was delicious! The specialty cocktails we had (Moohatten, Sidecar Named Desire, and Lemon Drop Martini) were strong and tasted great. This was only our second time dining at Le Moo and we will definitely be back!
Food was okay, but not our favorite steakhouse. The highlight of our dinner was the restroom decor if that tells you anything. Service was good. They do charge a 2.00 per person Covid fee that I didn’t read about beforehand.
First time visit for Sunday brunch and can’t wait to go back! le Moo is now our favorite brunch spot❣️The menu selection was fantastic, service was great and our menu choices were soo good. We’re also looking forward to sitting on the patio enjoying a great cocktail and meal!
The brunch at Le Moo is spectacular! Each item is so enticing - I will have to go back to try something else.
Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but they were courteous and got the job done. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
I had heard some "meh" reviews but we had an excellent meal. I'm a chef and foodie and found that everything was prepared perfectly. The mussels were some of the best I've ever had. The filet and scallops were delicious and perfectly cooked. My only criticism is that it's a bit loud due to the acoustics of the rooms and tall ceilings. There were two very rowdy groups that were no fault of the establishment but the lack of etiquette in the parties. The servers were wonderful. The ambience and decor romantic and lovely.
The ribeye didn’t have a flavor. We haven’t visited Le Moo multiple times and have always been disappointed with the flavors of the steaks. We have returned to see if maybe it was the chef on that particular day. However the seafood tower, queso, and drinks are always good. But the steaks are definitely cooked poorly every time.
Treated very well by all the staff members and the meal was phenomenal!
We went to Le Moo to celebrate my son’s graduation from EKU. I was very pleased with the service and the menu variety. Being from Florida, I was disappointed with the seafood platter. The cocktail shrimp were enormous, but very dry. The crab legs were served cut in half (taking away much of the experience of eating crab) and also quite dry. The scallops were absolutely wonderful. $120 for four scallops, four shrimp and a skimpy serving of crab was ridiculous. It was a special and not on the regular menu, and the price wasn’t shared when described at the table. If I had known the price would be anywhere near that, I would never have ordered it. I most likely will not return, I prefer the other restaurants from this group.
It was our first time there. The server was absolutely amazing, the environment was beautiful, and the food was good!
First, food was outstanding. Second, service was outstanding. Third, birthday dessert and champagne was unexpected, outstanding, and incredibly nice.
Le Moo is the type of place where you treat your spouse to a nice dinner because they moved your entire house and you could barely help because you broke your leg. I felt bad, but it was nothing a delicious steak couldn’t fix. All is right in the world.
The good here is ALWAYS amazing. First time trying the stroganoff; it was superb
We were happy with our meal. Food quality is very good.
A bit of the expensive side for us but a very good enjoyable meal in a nice classy place.
Our server was very polite and nice.
We would recommend it !
Got scammed into being up sold a mediocre “snow aged” snake. A bit ridiculous and not worth the $290 charged for the steak. A price which was not disclosed
Food was incredible - wine list equally impressive. Our server was also fantastic. Highly recommend.
Wine and water glasses should never go empty. The cuts of steak were not the best...making the meal well-over priced. It didn’t help that tables close by had whining kids. First time to Le Moo, and will definitely be our last.
Good food , wry expensive wine list with limited oltions
Went to LeMoo for a Sunday-after-Derby brunch. We had two out of town guests with us and our daughter. All I can say is that it was a terrible disappointment and an embarrassment to have taken our friends there. When we arrived we were pleased with the COVID protocols which was great. After ordering drinks we began to look at the menu. Our drinks came 10 minutes later and wrong. They had to remake them. Finally when the waitress returned with the drinks we had had plenty of time to decide what we wanted. Unfortunately it was only then that we were told that about five items on the menu were not available due to Derby the day before. So we had to take another ten minutes to re-choose and for her to come back. Two of us ordered steak and eggs and two ordered breakfast burgers. One ordered chicken and waffles.
The steak and eggs came out and both were overcooked and the poached eggs were ice cold. The waitress came around and apologized and said she would get them remade. after about ten or fifteen minutes she came back and apologized for the wait but said it would be out "any minute" as they pushed our redo order ahead of everyone else. As we continued to wait and notice lots of food coming out of the kitchen, about another 15 minutes later, after the other three of us had long since finished our meals, the replacements arrived. We learned also while we were waiting that the burgers were overcooked and extremely salty, but they didn't want to add to the complaint. When the new steak and eggs came out they were still overcooked and chewy. In the end the manager came out and we told her about the hamburgers too and she comped the whole meal. After two hours one of us enjoyed their meal, two ate half of their salty burgers and two ate nothing. For a steak restaurant, they certainly couldn't figure out how to cook meat! It was frustrating, embarrassing and very bad. No need to return.
Amazing steakhouse, one of the best in the US. Louisville is incredibly lucky to have this amazing steakhouse that is able to get Japanese A-5 beef. Love this place and it's ambience!
We had an amazing brunch at le moo with our 2 5 year olds! They lived the atmosphere we had our own private booth! They especially loved the kids menu that gave them their very own appetizer and cereal!
Just so so…overpriced for what you get :(
Daniel was great; funniest and best server ever. Interactive, knowledgeable, and prompt.
We would highly recommend Le Moo! The service was excellent, so was the food and drinks. We went on Derby weekend and the restaurant was rather busy, but the service we received was still excellent!
Oaks day And you guys didn’t disappoint great job to the entire staff at this restaurant
This was a really good steakhouse. Was it the BEST experience ever? No. But there was nothing that stood out as anything worth complaining about. We are from out of state and we got there early thinking we could take a seat at the bar prior to our reservation time.
Kentucky (as of early May 2021) does not allow people to sit at bars and drink. We didn't know this. But the hostess was able to seat us at our table 30 minutes prior to reservation time, so there was no issue. Food service was prompt and every employee that we interacted with was exceptionally pleasant.
From a price comparison standpoint, I don't know the area so I can only compare the prices to out of state steakhouses. Their prices were a weee bit above what I would consider the average for a similar venue ("nicer but casual dining"). They seemed to pride themselves on their cuts of Wagyu beef. I've had Wagyu twice prior and it didn't really "Wow!" my palate, so I wasn't going to drop $250 for 8oz of beef regardless of their description as "the world's best cut of beef" (or whatever the menu's writeup said).
We were there for my wife's birthday. When we arrived at the table, they did have a little card and balloons. I never go in expecting a free dessert when the establishment knows ahead of time that the patron is there for an anniversary/celebration, but often at places where you're spending over $100/person, that is something that is provided as part of the experience. Again, I didn't expect it, so me noting this is really just a commentary on the overall customer experience when compared to other establishments in this price range.
All in all, I give it a solid 4-stars. It got knocked down just a pinch because I thought the prices for their US steaks were a bit higher than normal for places that aren't formal attire dining experiences.
A Louisville, Kentucky experience if you love steak! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely recommend the steak flight. (A steak flight!!)
The waiter was great and the kitchen did a great job with my special requests.
Amazing service!! Fantastic food!!
Great food and fun ambiance. Can’t wait until all the VOVID restrictions are released so the staff and facility can really demonstrate the restaurant’s true potential.
It was great
We were a group of 7 coming from the track. Initially the service was great...as it got busier it went downhill. The food was excellent & properly prepared. The plating was beautiful. When it came time for dessert it took about 20 min to get our menus then another 20 to get our orders taken. The desserts were amazing tho!
The thing that really didn’t set well with us was we noticed that there was a $14 charge on our bill for “7 Covid Safety Fee”. Seriously?! Because our napkins, utensils, wet wipe & salt/pepper were placed in a plastic bag?!
That is RIDICULOUS!
Even tho we enjoyed it overall (wound up being a 2.5 hr dinner due to slowing service) we wouldn’t return.
