My family picked this place for our mother’s 92nd birthday. The restaurant advertises that they offer the $ amount of your birthday off the bill (more on this later). And since we had never dined here before we figured why not.
We were seated promptly and courteously. They take your temperature upon arrival and they definitely keep separation between the tables. Our server was friendly and professional. We were offered champagne “shots” which we partook of. The service was very good.
We ordered the spinach queso dip which was good. It came with pork rinds and tortilla chips. There were 5 in our party and we all ordered entrees. The steaks (x 3) were cooked as ordered. I ordered the pork chop which was very large and also cooked well. My husband got the burger and fries and said it was average with the fries being overdone. We also ordered a garden salad and asked it to be split.
We brought our own birthday cake (when your Mom wants an Italian cream cake, that’s what you get her) which the waiter took from the table, advising they would serve it after dinner (and it was convenient to not have it on the table). We also partook in some beer, a mixed drink, and bourbon.
Upon getting the bill this is where i became unhappy. The birthday “free dinner” was for whatever entree the birthday person ordered, not the “age” of the person. So instead of $92 being taken off, it was $55. A tad misleading but ok....then came the “upcharges”. The $10 COVID cleaning fee, the $2 side salad split plate fee, and the $15 cake serving fee. Wow. So instead of a $55 complimentary meal, we end up with a $23 complimentary meal.
Given the high prices of the entrees I would have expected better treatment and not been up charged to the point of ridiculousness.
We can say we’ve been there and done that but we won’t return.
We made sure to tip the waiter well and didn’t take our disappointment out on his service.
First time coming to Le Moo, food was so good. We for the blueberry waffles and bacon. The bacon was soooo good. The waffle was also good but could of used more blueberry syrup, the little cup provided was not enough but server didnt come back until we were done eating never came back to check on us or refill our drinks.

Almost everything about the visit left something to be desired. I tried to get additional seating since a max of 6 was allowed online, only to be told that we were given a booth seating that would only allow seating for 7. We arrive and have seating for 10. I only brought 7 because, well thats what I was told. Service was poor throughout. I can give multiple examples but lets go with ordered coffee, coffee went empty and 40 minutes and numerous visits later my wife asks for a refill (4 empty cups on the table for 30 minutes). The server says that Le Moo "ran out of cups" but would bring us a french press and we could reuse our old ones. The restaurant "ran out of cups" while at 50% capacity, and just didn't mention coffee not being refilled at Brunch until someone brings empty cups to their attention. Also, three table starters were brought without individual plates. I had to walk to the kitchen because our server was MIA for 15 minutes. Like I said, this could go on. Poor service, overpriced, menu with old items no longer offered, etc etc.
Our service and food were superb! My request of a private room was honored and made our dinner so special!

I love the decor inside. I had the filet steak and it was ok. Maybe I should try the wagyu, since that’s a better quality steak.

Best brunch in Louisville
We love Le Moo!! Brunch is awesome! Great options for anyone in your party. I personally love the burger with no egg and their drink cut fries! This time my mom and I shared the steak omelette which was also delicious. It came with a small salad drizzled in some yummy balsamic vinaigrette. We also tried the bacon appetizer which was amazing!
Thanks once again for making my Birthday special & perfect. We Love Le Moo and look forward to a Le Moo brunch with friends very soon.

This was our first time at Le Moo, but won’t be our last! We went for brunch and the food and service were outstanding! My boyfriend and I went for his birthday and Valentine's Day dinner. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was excellent; some of the best we have had in a while. We definitely plan on adding this to our traditions.

We opted for the Valentines dinner for two, which included one entree per person, an appetizer, salad for two and a dessert. The crab cake appetizer was fabulous as was the goat cheese salad. When we first ordered, we were instructed the kitchen was out of ribeyes, which was disappointing. However, as our salad came out, we were informed the kitchen received their shipment of ribeyes so we were excited again! Unfortunately, when the steaks came to the table, we realized perhaps it would have been better to opt for a different steak. It was not very tender and had a lot of gristle, not something I would expect for this fine dining establishment nor the cost. The fried grits were spectacular as was the bourbon mushrooms- and such a healthy portion I might add! The included dessert was not to our liking so we had it boxed up and ordered a different one -cheesecake- which was divine. All in all, the steak was a disappointment but the rest of the meal was on point. If we return, based on this visit, would more than likely not be ordering steak again.
We were there with a party of 8 to celebrate 2 birthdays. We chose LeMoo because of the promotion for birthday people with 3 others receive a free meal. One birthday was 3 days before the other 4. Waitress said has to be within 2 days. That was the middle of the week and we are a dinner club of 8 and have dinner out every month, in the weekend, as we all work and travel.
They refused our complimentary dinner.
Our meals arrived on hot could not touch plates, and everyone’s food was cold. Salmon was so dried out it was inedible.
We were so disappointed, LeMoo has been one of all our favorites, but not anymore.
They need to bring Tarak back to get the place back on track.
Le Moo called me after reservation was made to add a credit card number to hold the reservation which was not noted on the Open Table app. Added a COVID charge of $4.00 to our check which is ridiculous considering we spent more that $300 for a party of two. My wife requested a salad that was part of a special we did not order and was refused which makes no sense. Weight of our steaks was overstated on the menu. Unfortunate considering our server did a nice job and the food was prepared well.
Shrimp and grits was excellent. Kitchen made a mistake on biscuits and gravy and the service went to crap after that..... almost as if the mistake was taken out on us. Complained to manager about service, and nothing was done. So not a bad place, but probably not much of a reason to return when service is better at other options.
