Great experience to celebrate a birthday. They went out of their way to make it special.
Music was awful
Great food, great service, & great atmosphere! Excellent evening!!
Just WOW. My husband and I drove from Indianapolis to Louisville to celebrate our fourth anniversary. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked out the staff made us feel so special. Through OpenTable they knew we were celebrating our anniversary - they left us an anniversary card on the table and greeted us with a glass of champagne. The man guiding us through our meal was incredible. William (Billy, I believe he went by), recommended cocktails and wine to pair with our perfectly cooked scallops, prawns, crab legs, and dry aged, bone-in ribeye, and crème brulee. The atmosphere was obviously high end but not stuffy, and Billy certainly helped with that. Go there and go with whatever he recommends. You won't be disappointed.
Food and ambiance was really good! The restaurant itself was super cute. The only thing that were kind of a let down was the service, everyone was very polite, but very rushed. Can’t blame them much though they were probably just busy! And bread was not complementary
Sam was great! We had a Tomahawk and sadly it was not seasoned well. I never add salt to anything but this was so needed. For the $100 plus it costs I thought it would have been seasoned better. The grit cakes came and they were the size of a half dollar each and not worth the money paid for either. The food was good, don't get me wrong and maybe I'm spoiled because I live in Chicago with a major abundance of steakhouses... I expected much more.
We were referred to eat here by our driver. We arrived earlier than our reservation and we’re accommodated. As we walked to our table, we were shown a glass case with each of their steaks displayed and given a short history lessons on steaks by a nineteen year old. As we were seated, we were told the value and quality of the steaks with a short caveat which revealed the restaurant doesn’t make much return on investment on the sale of said steaks. I ordered a prime sirloin 16 ounces bone-in, with a potato and asparagus, but requested it in a medium cooking stage. After 45 minutes of waiting and chewing my shirt and clothing out of hunger and our waiter explaining to us multiple times that it would be right out, we finally received the food. Like a soldier on the front lines of the revolutionary war, I began to tear thru my food as if I haven’t eaten since last camp fire. The first bite was met with gristle. As I stomached it down, my next bite showed me new insights into the raw product. In short, the food was of the likes of a sad ending to a story of a book I shouldn’t have read.
Amazing service and food!
I am certain the dining experience we had on Sept. 10th was not indicative of what Le Moo strives to be. Upon arrival we were greeted with a 10-13 minute delay in being seated even though we had a reservation at 6:30pm. The salads we first ordered were delivered promptly but nothing like we expected. The Romaine wedge was very disappointing. Entree's arrived and the asparagus was not edible! We requested bread but it never came. I am having trouble trying to enjoy a wonderful cut of beef with all of the shortcomings. May not find the motivation to give another try to Le Moo.
We ate dinner at the bar last night! The service was great and the tenderloin flight tasted amazing! We will be back soon, Le Moo! Thank you!
Always start with the old school KTs spinach and cheese dip.
We had the best over all experience at Le Moo. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable (I wish I could remember his name). He was entertaining and we received great service! Food was fantastic too!
Billy was an excellent server and the food was outstanding.
Nice and quick.
It was our first visit and we had such a great time. The food was great. The vintage decor was nice as well. Lighting was perfect. We can’t wait to find back
Everything was lovely, relaxing, and upscale. Away from downtown and excellent quality and service. Super cocktails. We had a t-bone and two lobster tails. The persimmon bread pudding was delicious. Very glad I came here to celebrate my birthday.
Food and Service was amazing! Perfect Date night. ❤️
First time experience and went for a birthday. It was excellent service, food and atmosphere. They had balloons at the table w/ a birthday card and even wrote happy birthday on the plated dessert.
Surf n' turf was perfect, the white sangria was delightful and the triple chocolate/espresso cake was mouth watering delicious. I loved the way they presented the check in a Romance novel book. Great music during our meal as well just over the speakers - created a great experience.
I personally didn't like the Caesar salad, it had real anchovies and a poached egg - I didn't ask so wasn't expecting that.
Server was very attentive and knowledgeable, overall great experience
The food was DELICIOUS as usual, as was the service! You have to try the pigs in a blanket! Our table had steak and seafood, everything was AMAZING!
Everything was amazing, I’ll be returning!!
The food was delicious and the service was great!
We had heard great things and were excited to try out the steaks at Le moo. We enjoy a nice high end steakhouse and have been to most of them in the area. This experience was pretty disappointing. Nothing was bad, but sadly nothing was great either. The shrimp cocktail was tough and lacked any flavor or spice (horseradish) in the sauce. We love a good bite with our large savory shrimp. This version was mediocre at best and we didn’t even finish the shrimp. We decided to try the filet flight and get to scrutinize the different cuts of beef. All of the 3 filets were good, but none were great. The waygu was undercooked (we prefer medium steaks) and I’m not sure it was even as tender as the prime cut. The mashed potatoes were served like potato cakes and tasty, but again nothing special. The asparagus was bland and only lightly steamed with no preparations. We tried a chocolate cake for dessert which was dry and not at all worth the calories. Round all of the ‘ok’ food out with a grossly overpriced bottle of wine (the same bottle of stags leap is almost half that price at Morton’s) and experience was very underwhelming and overpriced. We would not go back.
One of my favorite restaurants in Louisville, KY.
Great place to eat, pork chop was medium rare rather than medium. But all in all everything was good
The food is good, not remarkable as compared with so many really good restaurants in town although the bread basket was quite good. Service was prompt, friendly and courteous. The food and beverage prices are outrageous. If you are looking for steak, the portion sizes certainly allow for splitting the entree, but the sides aren’t large enough to split.
The food was amazing as always, our waitress was so friendly and helpful. We had a great time.
This is one of the best restaurants in Louisville. Food was great!!! Would recommend to anyone
Excellent service and dinner was amazing.
Great night. Great food
Very pricy, but the food was spectacular. The ambiance of the restaurant was prefect for my wife and I to have our date night at. The server was very knowledgeable of the menu items and even recommended items that were not on the menu at that time.
Enjoyed the apps, cocktails, entrees and deserts. Very expensive, but for a treat date night it was well worth it. We’ll definitely go again!
Family in town from LA
Went for the drag brunch and was not disappointed. Had read through the menu and was so excited about the offerings only to realize the brunch is a buffet. Food at the buffet was very good, but will be heading back to try the other fare. Mimosas are a steal at $5, healthy poor so enjoy.
Wonderful! The Drugstore Cowboy cocktail is top notch! The filet with Diane sauce was amazing!
From the moment we walked in they made our birthday celebration special, welcoming us, having balloons and a card at the table! The steak was amazing and cooked to perfection, salmon was not bad but wasn’t anything I would come back for. The drunk cut fries, sliced bake potato, and Parmesan cheese grit balls were delicious! The cocktails were good but we had 4 drinks and our drinks were almost as expensive as our food😩. Our waiter as great and able to answer all of our questions! Our dessert was so yummy !! Pecan pie cheesecake! I would highly recommend this for a special night out !
The server, Mike, was excellent. He was friendly, attentive and helpful when we had questions.
The ambience of the restaurant was very nice. Since it was my wife’s birthday Mike brought us champaign. That was nice.
My wife ordered the small Caesar salad which was lettuce and dressing which was uninspiring, I had the chowder which was good.
My wife ordered beef stroganoff. The meat tasted dried and slightly tough. My steak Dianne was o.k. It was cooked as I requested, medium, but the meat was a little tough and not much flavor. Perhaps I expected a more tender cut of meat.
I don’t think we will return. There are other high end restaurants in Louisville that are more consistent for the high cost and quality of the items.
Wonderful! We both had the 8 oz prime filet. Best steak I’ve ever eaten. We’ll definitely go back.
delicious steaks, we also had the queso appetizer which was also yummy
