Wine and water glasses should never go empty. The cuts of steak were not the best...making the meal well-over priced. It didn’t help that tables close by had whining kids. First time to Le Moo, and will definitely be our last.
Went to LeMoo for a Sunday-after-Derby brunch. We had two out of town guests with us and our daughter. All I can say is that it was a terrible disappointment and an embarrassment to have taken our friends there. When we arrived we were pleased with the COVID protocols which was great. After ordering drinks we began to look at the menu. Our drinks came 10 minutes later and wrong. They had to remake them. Finally when the waitress returned with the drinks we had had plenty of time to decide what we wanted. Unfortunately it was only then that we were told that about five items on the menu were not available due to Derby the day before. So we had to take another ten minutes to re-choose and for her to come back. Two of us ordered steak and eggs and two ordered breakfast burgers. One ordered chicken and waffles.
The steak and eggs came out and both were overcooked and the poached eggs were ice cold. The waitress came around and apologized and said she would get them remade. after about ten or fifteen minutes she came back and apologized for the wait but said it would be out "any minute" as they pushed our redo order ahead of everyone else. As we continued to wait and notice lots of food coming out of the kitchen, about another 15 minutes later, after the other three of us had long since finished our meals, the replacements arrived. We learned also while we were waiting that the burgers were overcooked and extremely salty, but they didn't want to add to the complaint. When the new steak and eggs came out they were still overcooked and chewy. In the end the manager came out and we told her about the hamburgers too and she comped the whole meal. After two hours one of us enjoyed their meal, two ate half of their salty burgers and two ate nothing. For a steak restaurant, they certainly couldn't figure out how to cook meat! It was frustrating, embarrassing and very bad. No need to return.
Amazing steakhouse, one of the best in the US. Louisville is incredibly lucky to have this amazing steakhouse that is able to get Japanese A-5 beef. Love this place and it's ambience!
We had an amazing brunch at le moo with our 2 5 year olds! They lived the atmosphere we had our own private booth! They especially loved the kids menu that gave them their very own appetizer and cereal!
Just so so…overpriced for what you get :(
Daniel was great; funniest and best server ever. Interactive, knowledgeable, and prompt.
This was a really good steakhouse. Was it the BEST experience ever? No. But there was nothing that stood out as anything worth complaining about. We are from out of state and we got there early thinking we could take a seat at the bar prior to our reservation time.
Kentucky (as of early May 2021) does not allow people to sit at bars and drink. We didn't know this. But the hostess was able to seat us at our table 30 minutes prior to reservation time, so there was no issue. Food service was prompt and every employee that we interacted with was exceptionally pleasant.
From a price comparison standpoint, I don't know the area so I can only compare the prices to out of state steakhouses. Their prices were a weee bit above what I would consider the average for a similar venue ("nicer but casual dining"). They seemed to pride themselves on their cuts of Wagyu beef. I've had Wagyu twice prior and it didn't really "Wow!" my palate, so I wasn't going to drop $250 for 8oz of beef regardless of their description as "the world's best cut of beef" (or whatever the menu's writeup said).
We were there for my wife's birthday. When we arrived at the table, they did have a little card and balloons. I never go in expecting a free dessert when the establishment knows ahead of time that the patron is there for an anniversary/celebration, but often at places where you're spending over $100/person, that is something that is provided as part of the experience. Again, I didn't expect it, so me noting this is really just a commentary on the overall customer experience when compared to other establishments in this price range.
All in all, I give it a solid 4-stars. It got knocked down just a pinch because I thought the prices for their US steaks were a bit higher than normal for places that aren't formal attire dining experiences.
A Louisville, Kentucky experience if you love steak! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely recommend the steak flight. (A steak flight!!)
Oaks day And you guys didn’t disappoint great job to the entire staff at this restaurant
The waiter was great and the kitchen did a great job with my special requests.
Amazing service!! Fantastic food!!
It was great
We were a group of 7 coming from the track. Initially the service was great...as it got busier it went downhill. The food was excellent & properly prepared. The plating was beautiful. When it came time for dessert it took about 20 min to get our menus then another 20 to get our orders taken. The desserts were amazing tho!
The thing that really didn’t set well with us was we noticed that there was a $14 charge on our bill for “7 Covid Safety Fee”. Seriously?! Because our napkins, utensils, wet wipe & salt/pepper were placed in a plastic bag?!
That is RIDICULOUS!
Even tho we enjoyed it overall (wound up being a 2.5 hr dinner due to slowing service) we wouldn’t return.
It was a delicious birthday dinner for my family and I.
As always, superb service by Justin, food we can always count on as excellent and perfect ambiance. The whole concept is so well thought out. We will always be regulars!!
We celebrated my daughter's first communion and our server made her feel like a celebrity. We were so grateful for delicious food and such a fun experience.
Great food, decent pricing, service was great! Love the plexiglass dividers between booths!!!
A great place to celebrate a birthday!
Favorite restaurant in Louisville!
Great atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food! Loved it!!
Loved this place!! Beautiful decor and a very trendy spot. Eclectic and delicious dishes!! We stopped in for brunch and it was amazing!! Will definitely go back when in Louisville.
Our reservation wasn’t ready for 20 minutes. No waiter for 25 minutes. Only saw waiter twice and once was to deliver the bill after having to go find her. Great steak! Time to get over corona and live life...
Went for the first time on an anniversary date night. Atmosphere was a bit more relaxed than I expected but that’s fine with me. Service was on point. Starter of a seafood trio of scallops, shrimp and crab legs was great. I’m a restaurant steak snob and am usually not impressed with what I don’t prepare myself but had to try one since they are so highly touted. I was not disappointed. I chose the 16oz dry aged ribeye and it was prepared to perfection. Addition of haricots verts and asparagus salad was splendid as well as the grit cakes. Espresso chocolate cake & pecan cheesecake were decadent. Was very happy with the experience for the evening.
Our brunch was delicious. We were well taken care of from entry to exit. The music was AMAZING and made the time so joyful and fun!
Our server was amazing and the steaks were even better. It was our anniversary so we wanted to go somewhere nice and this was definitely the right choice. The prices are on the high side but still reasonably priced for the quality and there are lower ticket items as well. They also have a brunch menu for earlier dining that is fantastic and it won’t beat up your bank account. We love this place.
Great food! Great place to celebrate those special occasions
LeMoo never disappoints. Food was great as the 1st time we went when they 1st opened, and the drinks are still not watered down or lacking.
Food was great atmosphere was great
I ordered I’m the guy and loved it
The food was excellent and we will definitely be back.
Tracy was amazing as always.
Didn’t enjoy being seated in the cold, drag brunch back room, felt completely dark and forgotten. Service was just average.
From Steve our waiter to Dorin that made sure our Anniversary date would be amazing, LeMoo did not fail us. Everything was wonderfully cooked and prepared.
Prices are really high. Food was great. This is a place to go on special occassions for us because of the prices.
Great everything and exceptional staff. Very helpful
Our experience was just o.k. The server was nice and informative. We ordered a spinach dip which was great. My wife and I both decided to try the burger as it was on the favorites list. Unfortunately, both burgers were overcooked. The menu states they come at medium but both were well done with mine having burn on the bottom of patty. I think for a place that specializes in beef it was pretty disappointing to get an over cooked burger. I think for the price and what we received, we probably wouldn't go back .
i loved it
Great food lovely atmosphere
My husband and I had a very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back.
The food and service was amazing! Definitely telling everyone!
