Love the food, drinks, and our private area and our waiter Drew was so patient with us and very pleaseant
I've been before and it was usually great but this time.....our appetizer plates were DIRTY one even had a piece of what looked like old rice stuck to it. It was gross! We had to send them back for clean ones. Then our entrees took 55 minutes to come out! We had 4 different people come to our table so we never knew who to make requests to. When our food finally came it was COLD! We asked them to microwave it for us. It was awful 😞 I hate to give a bad review but I had to this time. Our check was $135 and we were NOT HAPPY. We still haven't decided if we're going back again.
our first time and could not have been better! I just wish we had told the sweet waitress it was our son's 24th birthday! he picked the restaurant and WOW! We will be back for the steaks! we had brunch, which was delish!!!
Great service but the food was overpriced and was under seasoned.
My friend and I were there to celebrate a birthday. We both ordered burgers and were quite pleased. Easily one of the best burgers I have ever had. The seared sour cream potatoes were excellent and the whiskey and wine lists were impressive. Will definitely be back to try a steak.
Very nice steakhouse in Louisville, more reasonable in cost than other more well known restaurants, but with no sacrifice in quality of food.
Food was amazing and staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Also had gluten-free friendly options. Clearly the right place to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we will be back for more. (Tiger Lilly is my new favorite drink!)
Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten and great service.
Our server Sam was awesome! We were there for our wedding anniversary and she did an outstanding job making our visit a special night. The steak we ordered was delicious! Definitely will come back.
We had a reservation for 2 weeks. It was my husband's 1st Fathers day dinner. We started off our dinner by receiving the wrong appetizer. Our waiter did not return to check on us for over 10min. My husband had to get up, locate and inform him of the mistake. It was aminor mistake. No problem. Our main courses are delivered and my husband's steak was ordered Medium. The center was cooked properly Medium but surrounding the steak was a deep thick char! So charred it was inedible and he eats everything. We send it back to be corrected. We are still calm and enjoying the beautiful restaurant and each other. We shared mine until his could be corrected. Each of us have worked in resturants for years while in college and we know these things happen! After 20min of no one checking on our table, and no refills, we hunt down a waiter. He asked if we got the replacement steak, and we say no, and he disappears. We wait an additional 10min with no update from our waiter or steak in sight. We are very upset by this time and we ask the hostess to speak to the manager. Before the hostess has time to deliver the request, the manager comes to our table with the replacement steak. My husband being a calm, cool, collected guy explains our unfortunate experiences. The manager laughs, and with a smile on his face says, "Well, we are very busy with many parties, and it is Father's day!" continues to show no empathy and requests my husband to cut into his steak to make sure it was cooked perfectly Medium . . . . . It was RARE!!! It still was purplish red and ice cold center. He asked if he could take it back to fire it again. We said no thank you and requested it to be removed from our bill. Before he removed my husbands main course from our bill it was over $250 and you are saying we should be treated less than, expect less than, and be laughed at then pay in FULL!? We were willing to try this restaurant again in the future but after the way we were treated by the manager, ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Steak was a little burned.. asked for a refill I never got one had to go to the bar myself and get it
The hostess stated that she “moved people already seated” to accommodate another party.
THEN our waiter was horrible. Everyone around us was served before us, even though we order 1st & had simple orders.
THEN they were out of food that we had ordered because they GAVE OUR ORDER AWAY!!
THEN the food was COLD AND BURNT when it did come out!
No apology from the waiter OR management!
We came in for the Fathers Day special at 2 PM and were told we could not get it until 5. Since my wife does not like breakfast food we had to order the sirloin. It was very good, but I expected the rib eye.
We had a great lunch here for Father's Day. Everything was perfect!
The food and service was excellent. It’s our favorite brunch spot.
Our server was fabulous She made the meal more enjoyable
For the last three years we have come to celebrate my birthday at Lemoo. I have always gotten the Texas red fish which is always amazing. However, this time I opted to get a filet and my wife got the same. The temperature was perfect, but the amount of seasoning (salt) on this particular piece was excessive. My wife’s filet wasn’t seasoned this way. I did not bring it up to the server as my wife and I met working in the restaurant industry and I hate to send anything back.
Ironically, outstanding seafood (I had surf and turf) but the filet mignon was not up to scale of the price. I've had better filet at chain restaurant steak houses. The spinach salad I chose had tasteless dressing and slimy mushrooms and tough to chew artichokes. I wish I had substituted the dressing with the hot bacon dressing. Again, for the price, I should have sent it back. I could only stomach a few bites. The potato pancakes with the steaks were excellent.
Great waiter—-“Walter “
Fantastic as usual!
Son’s 19th Birthday
We have dined at Le Moo several times. This time the food slightly disappointed. The steak wasn't perfect and the fish was overcooked and tasty fishy. We usually have excellent food, so I'm hoping this was a one-time deal. The service we received was excellent and we love the atmosphere of the restaurant.
The food was excellent and our waiter, Seth was very attentive to all of our needs.
Hostess was not friendly and seemed super annoyed with our presence and request for a different table, rather than being shoved into the corner next to a large, loud group.
Waitress was friendly and explained everything but then would be gone for long periods of time, it was not busy on the Sunday night we were there.
Steaks were overdone, they did offer to remake them and boxed them up for us since we had to leave for a concert.
Great vibe, decor, but, would not go back or recommend. Hopefully it was just an off night for them.
The LIMA BEANS were phenomenal though!
Great deal for brunch. The chicken and waffles are probably the best I have ever had.
It was great. Drove from Indianapolis to meet our Daughter and Son-in-Law who drove up from Nashville, TN. They tour with the music industry and we don’t get to see them much. Le Moo was a great place to meet in the middle and have a great Brunch. Time to catchup on life. Will do again. It was also my son-in-laws birthday.
Le Moo never disappoints. Love the cocktail selection!
Great food as usual!
Do not order the filet. For $53 plus $7 for the sauce, they massacred this poor Prime filet by char grilling it. No seasoning, no flavor and burnt on the outside. And the $7 sauce came in a ketchup ramekin - 2 tbsp of sauce for $7. The service recovery of the waiter and manager was acceptable; what they did to this pathetic excuse for a prime steak was not. You’d get a better piece of meat at the Outback.
Good, not great. My wife and I left very unimpressed. I don't mind spending good money on good food, but Le Moo left my wife and I very unimpressed.
I can't complain about everything though...our service, cocktails, and the mussel appetizer were great. I also wasn't too happy about the $10 "splitting" charge we received for sharing a 32oz tomahawk steak. The steak was very underwhelming. It was cooked perfectly, but lacked flavor. It was pretty bland and nothing to brag about. The mashed potato cakes were very bland tasting and most of them were left on our plates when we were done.
For dessert, my wife ordered a pecan cheesecake that was absolutely fantastic. Per the server's recommendation, I ordered the bread pudding that had the consistency of an overcooked brownie. Again, not bad, but not great.
I can't say that I had a horrible experience, just not a very good one. For the price range, there are plenty of other great selections in Louisville and we will continue to be a patron of theirs, not Le Moo's.
Terrible Crab Legs. Do not get.
Overall experience was great. Staff was very virtuous and helpful. Knowledgeable on about everything on both food and drink menus. Steak was tender, but lacked flavor. With paying that price, you’d expect the grade of beef to have its own unique flavor as opposed to just being tender. I’ve gotten better cut of steak, tender and flavor all in one at Texas Roadhouse for 1/3 of the price for the same amount of cut.
Yes, it’s pricey but you pay for a great experience. I look forward to returning.
Birthday dinner for my husband- had a great time and the food and service never disappoint!!! Love this place!
The food was incredible. I had the steak and my fiancé the salmon. Both were excellent. The sides were great. I would recommend the collared greens and the grit cakes. The asparagus was also very good. We also had the lima beans - which were good but not entirely what I expected. For an appetizer we had the mussels - they were fantastic. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Fun occasion! Everyone loved food and enjoyed atmosphere.
Wagyu beef tartare was exquisite, as were all the dishes we tasted. Extensive wine list and wonderful cocktails. Our server , Steve, was unparalleled in our dining experiences. Very knowledgeable about the wine list and the food. He was friendly , helpful, humorous, and by the end of the evening felt like a member of the family! We are already making plans to return , and we will be asking to have Steve as our server.
We were visiting Louisville and wanted to try a local steakhouse. This was a great option. Our server was so friendly and helpful. Service was quick and the food was spectacular! I had the filet with mushrooms. My husband had the chicken dish with tart cherries sauce and asparagus. We shared. Both were amazing. My son had the 14oz Choice Ribeye and ate every last bite. He was in heaven. Since he will be attending school here for the next 4 years, I’m sure that will not be our last visit. 🙂
We went in and informed our server we were still waiting for more people to come. The issue was that she never came back to check in on us— even when someone new arrived. She never asked for their drink order. We had to ask a host to grab our server because it had been a long time since she checked on our table. Everything went downhill after that. She came back with a really bad attitude and blamed us on her own confusion. After that, she avoided checking up on us by avoiding eye contact. It took about 30 minutes for us to get our to-go box and checks (which she messed up a couple of times.)
Food, service, & atmosphere were ALL OUTSTANDING, as usual!! Our waitress was the S#%*!! Lol We'll definitely be back soon!!
