One of the few great French restaurants in the Houston area. Fantastic menu items. Truly inspired and perfectly executed cuisine. And not just the entrees, the desserts too. If you don't have the pallet to appreciate sublime cuisine, then don't waste your money here. Some of these dishes are on another plane, but you will pay for that experience.

Liliy was an amazing server & the entire staff did a great job of making us feel important & at home.

The Burrata Cheese to start was slightly sweet & a little salty - perfectly paired with the warm, fresh bread. My partner & I shared the Mistral Salad, which is coated in the house blueberry vinaigrette & topped with pinenuts & sesame seeds - truly fantastic.

I enjoyed the Lobster Tagliatelle - watch out if you're wearing a white shirt haha! - which came with 2 medium sized lobster tails & a handmade pasta. My meal was paired with a dry white. My partner drank a Cabernet & had the sirloin, which came with garlic green beans & french fries - a very generous serving size! (Our ONLY complaint was the steak was more medium rare than medium).

We enjoyed the chocolate fondant cake that was topped with a killer pistachio anglaise & chased the whole meal with cappuccinos.

Overall - a definite neighborhood gem that should be enjoyed by all. About a ~$200 dinner including tip & if you go for the full experience. Totally worth it & a very romantic atmosphere.

We attended the Valentines dinner, 5 courses for a fixed price. Each course was delicious and visually appealing. The co/owner and sommolier Sylvan helped us choose exceptional wines that fit our budget. A perfect romantic evening.

The staff was great and food was amazing. Great 5 course valentine meal both fiance and I loved it. I believe the system they had for bringing out the food could have been better, the only bad thing is the time between meals and seeing that people seated after us got their food before us. Many people were complaining about that. Sure on a regular day that's not an issue. Definitely going to go back to experience a more personal dinner.

The food was fantastic (as usual), ambience for V'day was not very good. But understanding it is there busiest day of the year we understood. Service was erratic, but again what do you expect on V'day. We will always go back as we feel it is the BEST French restaurant in Houston Hands down...Oh the Fois Gras was the best I've had in MANY years, and we just returned from a Paris trip...

The absolute WORST dining experience I have EVER HAD!

1) There was NO mention of a SET MENU on open table, and when we get there, the $30-$50 entree advertised on their normal menu is replaced by a $95 per person set menu! I was already mad since you cannot find a decent restaurant on valentines day, so I'm basically scammed into spending 2-3X more for a menu with no options.

2) The weight times for the SET menu where everyone gets the SAME THING is at least 20 minutes AFTER EATING, we were starving in between the courses that were also TINY.

3)Our third course, the Chilean sea bass, tasted like BAD FISH, and there was a HAIR IN MY FOOD! This was unbelievable to me at this point, to be duped into paying this much, have this bad of service and now get BAD FOOD and it has a HAIR IN IT! Chilean sea bass is one of my favorite foods in the world and this one was TERRIBLE! I can't even explain how disappointed I was with this fish, it had no color, just white, and it was a TINY piece, it probably wasn't even real Chilean sea bass, it tasted like catfish!

4) When I tell the person who I thought was my waiter, he sent the actual waiter, which took at least another 10 minutes for her to get to our table. Apparently the waiters here don't take your order, deliver your food or drinks, or really even show up at your table at any point. The waiter basically acts dumbfounded when I explain then says she will get the manager. When she finally comes back, she has the check, for the TINY 2.5 courses we ate, without so much as a sorry, much less ANY attempt to make it better. After I paid she did make a 1/2 ish attempt to suggest she would give us desert, but we didn't want it were not even sure of what she was offering.

All said and done with a 7:00 PM reservation, out the door at 8:40PM after 2.5 courses that were NOT IMPRESSIVE, tons of waiting, and $108 (before tip) for the worst dinning experience I have ever had. HORRIBLE!!!

We love coming to Le Mistral for special occasions. This special meal was for Valentines. My wife required a special dish to replace the prix fixe entree. Chef came to our table and graciously discussed and came up with an alternative. We paired the meal with a fantastic wine from Kapcsandy Family Wines. Our server did a great job and was very attentive. Really enjoyed our evening. Le Mistral is worth the drive from anywhere.

Received a welcoming greeting & were seated right away. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine & pairing it with our dinner. The food was outstanding & I could go on & on about how enjoyable our evening was...highly recommended this restaurant!!

Excellent French onion soup, snapper, and duck confit. Service was lovely — the ambiance wad nice and not too loud for a family birthday dinner (grandparent.). Perfect choice for this meal.

OUr food was delicious. The waiters were very efficient. We loved that we could hear the other couple at our table. Fun way to celebrate an anniversary. Amazing souffles for desert.

Drove 25 mins on a cold, wet night after a friend recommended it- four of us and everyone’s meal and dessert was plated like art and delicious! The red snapper came in parchment paper like a present to unwrap- stunning and was my favorite dish. I will return for this dish alone.

We were with my wife. We enjoyed all the meal (wine, food, atmosphere). Trust me. We are french and we really appreciate the food. Well cooked and light. There is a lot of wines. It's a nice place for the lovers. But I think this is also the opportunity to be with your friends.

Wonderful dinner in a very nice setting! The fish dishes are to die for (sea bass and red snapper), probably the best I've had in a very long time. The bread also comes out warm and is AMAZING!
