On the menu at Le Mirch are dishes like the traditional chicken curry, Mirch shank (braised lamb in onion, ginger, tomato and Kashimiri chili) and the pork vindaloo (pork cooked in a tangy, spicy sauce). Enjoy cuisine served fresh from the grill such as tandoor kebabs, steaks, chops and seafood options. Vegetarians and vegans will find many choices that cater to their dietary needs as well.
Good food, friendly staff.
Le Mirch was an unexpected and totally amazing gem of a discovery! I had friends in town over the weekend and we were unable to eat at a known restaurant. After looking up top ten Indian restaurants, we settled on Le Mirch…which I have never visited before. And to say that it totally exceeded our greatest expectations is the understatement of the year!!! It is now on my short list of top five DC area restaurants and we can not recommend it highly enough!!! The food and service are incomparable, and although it is small and not in the best structural space…you will very likely not notice or care 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Very tasty. Really enjoyed the food and the service.
Food was great but there is a bit of wait time due to lots of delivery order I guess.
Great food. Bad wine
Between the service and the quality of food, if definitely was not what we expected for such a highly rated restaurant. There were so many small details that were not paid attention too, so many items they were out of, and food took forever.
Amazing food and amazing service. One of my new favorites!
Wait staff was efficient and very friendly
It was great
We had Spinach with Chicken and Tandoori Chicken and while the Tandoori was a bit spicier than expected, the food was excellent overall. It was hard to accurately gage the atmosphere as it was almost empty on account of Covid. We will definitely return when things are back to normal.
Good service, good food and drinks.
Food was just delicious. Reminds me of the delicious Indian food of London. The chef actually studied in London… Just wonderful flavors
This was such a great experience! Everyone was so friendly. They helped us with recommendations. We sat on the street to eat, which was fun! It was private feeling even though we were outside. When we return to DC, we will go back for more! Thank you to the wonderful wait staff. The food was so good!
Food was great. Pleasant quiet seat next to a Mach fireplace.
Food was good, the restaurant staff was very friendly. The decor was contemporary, but could use more Indian cultural adaptations. Good experience over all.
The air conditioning was not working. It was freezing cold. And no matter how many times we asked, they didn’t fix/turn it on
They over charged us for 2 extra glasses of wine and it took 15 mins for them to fix it.
The waiter put in the effort to bring me a birthday cake and candle with happy birthday written across the plate, completely unprompted. It was super super thoughtful and sweet. Really really nice staff and REALLY yummy food. Samosa chat was the best I’ve had and the mattar paneer and garlic naan were amazing.
Very quiet - they offered us our choice of available seats. Food was wonderful, as was the service. My fiancé is English and therefore an Indian food snob and said this maybe the best curry he has had in the US. Highly recommend!
Great Indian cuisine. Somewhat graceless service. Harsh soundscape, so a loud conversation could dominate the space.
Really nice food & pleasant staff, would return & highly recommend. In fact, going back tonight!
As usual, all very good, especially the lamb rogan gosh.
Very good Indian cuisine - right up there with the best DC Indian restaurants - the spinach appetizer is delicious - as good as Radhika. Try the samosa appetizer also.
I had the tofu vindaloo. It was delicious.
Flavorful food. Recommend the samosas (4 medium-sized cones), mango-glazed wings(4), chicken tikka, lamb shank, and garlic naan (1 6-inch piece cut into 4). It is all consistently delicious. The wait staff is very friendly. It seems they recently updated their menu and are in the process of vamping up their bar menu. Definitely a must-try when in D.C.
Food was excellent here! We really enjoyed the Masala Croquette, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Paneer Makhani. We'll be back!
terrible food. the panner gravies were for some reason sweet and the chicken kebab's too dry.
Great appetizers (especially epinards and samosa)! You could make a great meal on small plates, but entrees also very good.
The food didn't look or taste like it was freshly made. It seemed pre-made and heated. I ordered a soda, which was flat so I sent it back. Otherwise, the service is good.
Great little restaurant with good food at very reasonable prices.
Food was very good. High quality. Service was fine. Good location. I appreciated the fact that the place was quiet enough for a good conversation.
This is a gem for a tasty, fresh Indian dinner In your neighborhood. The staff are truly friendly and there’s a feeling that it’s family-run, with kids around. Regular customers. TVs over the bar, but you can have a quiet conversation, and enjoy the contemporary decor.
Nice place. Appetizers were not as expected but tasty, as were the entrees,
The only good thing about this restaurant is the multiple options for vegan diners. The food was mediocre and the service was AWFUL. There were only about 4 tables in Dupont on a Saturday night; that should have been our first clue because all of the other restaurants in the area were packed. We literally had to flag down the waitress every time we needed anything, including to place an order. There was a gentleman who looked to be a manager, but not once did he come by or offer to take our order, refresh drinks, etc. even though it was clear that we weren't getting service. Had we not been specifically looking for vegan food, we would have immediately gotten on OpenTable and made a reservation to go elsewhere. I'd eaten here a few ago and it is sad to see how far they have declined.
I am a vegetarian and this is one of my favorite Indian places in DC. The paneer Makhani is my favorite!
Not great taste, quality and authenticity. Disappointing!
Food is delicious! I try to eat there every time I come to DC.
Great food. Very nice staff.
I mentioned on the open table app that it was my date’s birthday and they brought her a little desert which was nice!
Nice place, lovely and interesting food. Everything was good. Server was nice enough to point out a milder dish for me as i am a spice wimp. They were attentive. Next time i would ask to sit further from the bar as i think tv during a meal is uncivilized. We went early so not a full crowd.
