The french onion soup was amazing! The kitchen was backed up in orders so our food was really late. The nice waitress with the short hair came to apologize and said she will give us a complimentary bread basket. It’s not her fault but it was nice of her. Crab cakes were good. Eggs benedict were tasty. Portions are just right so that I’m not full to my throat. I would go back again!
We love and recommend this gem of a restaurant to our friends. Love, love the food!!
Service was great as was the food. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere on a cold night.
Service was good. I liked the music, and old video clips.
Food was classic french and well executed .
The deserts were very good. Will go back
Bathroom is not clean. Personal is very nice. Food is ok
Very charming French restaurant, with lovely salmon-colors walls
and sweet, friendly waitstaff. The food is authentic and great, especially
the wonderful boeuf bourginon. A treat!
We live in NYC and go out 3-4 nights a week for dinner. This was our first time at Le Midi, but it won’t be our last. We felt so welcomed by the staff, the food was fantastic and it didn’t break the bank. Neighborhood gem, for sure. But so much more. Thanks for a great first visit Le Midi. Merci!
Great place to celebrate a birthday.
Excellent bistro fare, tasty and reasonably priced
Great place with wonderful servers and delicious French bistro food. Have eaten there several times.
Terrific food, service and ambiance. Great wine list. In my top 3 NY restaurants.
Nor only was the food terrific at brunch, the service was fantastic!! I want to thank the restaurant and the servers for providing a dessert with a candle in it for my friend's birthday! Le Midi is my go-to-place and has been for a while!! Thank you!!!
Always reliable - a neighborhood go to with a very good happy hour and good basic French food. Nothing here is going to blow your mind, but for a pleasant dinner and drinks, it really is a great local place.
I have had brunch and lunch at Le Midi before, but this was the first time for dinner. I arrived about 10 minutes before my 7 pm reservation, and not only did they seat me right away, but the servers told me I was early enough to order drinks from the Happy Hour menu and they would serve them later, when my guest arrived. The food was exactly what you'd expect from "French comfort food" and we enjoyed everything. Pricey, but portions were substantial and it was a bonus that we got the Happy Hour discount.
First service absolutely top notch. Could not ask for more. Food superb. We had carrot soup, entrecôte, and shared profiteroles. (Wife). I had a dozen of just sensational malpeque oysters, then coq au vin. Shared a bottle of a French Chardonnay. Very well priced. This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit. You Cannot be disappointed.
Next time I visit I really think I’ll have a dozen malpeques for appetizeser and the beef boucuignon.
And to make everything absolutely perfect parked right outside front door.
Solid French bistro fare and generous pours of wine!
Everything was great! The food, the company, the service! Definitely going back you’ll see me on Valentine’s Day ❤️❤️
Service was a little slow to come to our table but quickly made up for it. Escargot was good and bread was warm! No ambiance but a good local informal spot.
The food was attentively prepared - fresh malpecque oysters and the Le Midi salad. Professional service and plain, but distinctive decor.
The food is consistently very good and authentic. Servers are very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a great evening it just took an awfully long ti me to get our bill, we could have divided it up between us more simply!
Wonderful little French bistro with a great prix fixe menu and $7. nice wines for Happy Hour. Excellent onion soup, loup de mer, risotto and hangar steak. Attentive service.
The best place downtown to have a great meal!
My first time there. Traditional French Comfort food done very well.
Amazing food, outstanding service. Had a great time!
The best bistro out side of France. I love their classic French food with a great wine list. The boeuf bourguignon is wonderful on a cold winter night.
Great for lunch, good food reasonably priced and attentive staff.
Always great, especially on Sunday nights. Onion soup is great. The winter cassoulet is magnificent
Le Midi is always a delight. The salmon-colored walls, the subtle lighting, the wonderful French cuisine, the hospitality add up to a lovely experience.
friendly and attentive service
excellent choice for before the movies at the Regal on Broadway
Some of the dishes don't fare to well. Others are quite good. Not consistent. Ambiance is nice , comfortable seating.
The best bistro in New York.
Good menu and location. Service is fair, friendly but not attentive ( need water? need check? )
Enough to choose from on menu and basic as well as French Bistro fare. Not complicated or weird.
Sit down place where you can spend some time, which is not that easy to find in the neighborhood.
Quiet lunch. I had onion soup and country pâté. Companion had escargot and salad with duck confit. She said the salad/duck was excellent. I’ve been here before numerous times and will certainly visit again.
Great food and service as always.
Excellent all around. Great place for lunch date.
This was our second visit to Le Midi. It was was excellent again. We had Coq au Vin and a medium rare duck breast dish. Probably the best tasting Coq au Vin I've eaten - and I make a mean Coq Au Vin. (But I have to get the recipe). The atmosphere was quiet enough to relax and hear conversation and the wait staff was very nice and attentive. Le Midi is officially a "regular place" to eat in Manhattan.
Near miracle of a relatively quiet place with quite good, reliable food in this neighborhood.
Delicious food, great service, nice setting.
