About Le Midi Bar & Restaurant

Le Midi is a casual bistro serving classic French dishes. Sample favorites such as French onion soup, coq au vin and steak tartare among others. Food and drinks menus include a prix-fixe and happy hour, there are daily specials and you can eat at the bar or in the spacious dining room. Brunch includes Bellinis, Mimosas and bloody Marys for just $5 each. With 1,000 sq ft of space and room for 100 people, Le Midi suits both small groups and larger parties. The restaurant can seat up to 80; the bar can seat 17 people and accommodate up to 25 standing. My fiancee and I really enjoyed out Valentine's meal here. The food, service and atmosphere were great. Try the Chicken and wine sauce and escargot. The dessert was awesome too. Nothing more to add except I would come back here again definitely.

I come here often, a block from my office, but the draw is that every dish is exceptional. Such a fresh salad. When I ask for hanger steak rare, it comes perfectly for me: red, but cooked and hot, tasty; never the most tender cut, but what hanger steak should be. Service is smooth and unobtrusive. Never noisy at least at lunch. No pressure to turn over the table. Just a great place for a leisurely lunch. Prix fix 2-course lunch a good value too.

Le Midi was fine -- actually nice. And the price was right! A cute place, typical french bistro food, and very good service today. Most of the food was good, if not all that creative. I had onion soup and salad nicoise -- my tuna was great but the salad itself seemed to lack something. My husband liked his scallops. But my daughter found the entrecote inedible. It was very tough -- hard to cut -- and given that it was more expensive than the hanger steak on the prix fixe, it was curious. When we told the waitress, she tried to cut the steak and I could tell she found it tough as well but she was standing and had some leverage over the knife. She told us she thought it was fine -- no offer to take it back if we'd like. My daughter didn't eat the steak and no mention of it was made by the waitress. STill, the rest of the meal was fine although not four star.

A great place for a casual dinner with traditional French food. Warm and cozy atmosphere and good for quiet conversation. The prix-fixe and happy hour menus are a very good value and the movies over the bar are a treat! Consistent good food and service in a comfortable setting. Will definitely return.

This is a really pleasant restaurant with good French food at a good price. Cozy, not precious or pretentious. An easy place to feel comfortable and taken care of.

The prix fixe New Year's Eve dinner at Le Midi was probably the best dinner we've had all year! Lobster tails, foie gras, french onion soup, it all was delicious.

The first thing I thought was this place is really cute - I saw a lot of families and a lot of older people. My friend and I are in our mid-twenties, so it was an eclectic bunch.
I had escargot for the first time here and it was actually not bad?! I didn't like that it came out swimming in oil, but it just tasted kind of like octopus.
The duck was nice and tender - this felt like a typical French restaurant. Nothing to write home about, but not a bad place to stop by.

On two previous visits to this restaurant,I really was impressed with the food, the service
And the ability to talk and be heard in a tavern like setting.
This last experience was during a peak time for the restaurant and it was too noisy to enjoy.

They are always so nice to us here I really feel guilty when I don't bring people who buy from the bar! (I'm a tea drinker lol.) Food's always good; though sometimes they seem expensive to me they are on par with the neighborhood, and they also have great happy hour specials. But mostly we come for the good ambience, great location, and wonderful warm staff. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.

We have dined at Midi several times a year as we live in the neighborhood.
We went there for dinner early on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The food was fine but the service/servicing was terrible; they were at least one waiter below staff and despite being the only diners, we were constantly underserved by amateur services. It was very disappointing.

I was here for lunch with some friends during the week. It was quite empty so there were no problems with service or the noise level. We all enjoyed the overall ambiance of the space. We all ordered the price fixe lunch and were very happy with our choices which included carrot soup, loup du mer (sea bass) and steak frites. I would definitely return.

Service was very friendly and very good. The shrimp cocktail was no bargain. The cocktail sauce was weak. The escargot were very tasty. I enjoyed the Beef Bourguignon, but it wasn't all that great. Not a romantic date spot, but the place is simple and has cool art on the wall.

Overall it was nice but not great. I asked for my steak to be med well; it came out very rare so that was a disappointment because I didn't have time to send it back. I dined there a while back and thought it was better. Pleasant space, high ceilings.

I always forget about this place as it is just off of Union Sq. When I select french on the open table site I see it and remember how good the food is and great service. If you enjoy french cuisine and a large restaurant where the tables are not so on top of each other and a lovely wine list then this is the place the cheese plate was lovely , we were there with friends and everyone enjoyed the meal will go back soon

I've been several times with friends as a catch-up meal. The food is always amazing, they play old movies on a projector above the bar (silently)--which gives a cool atmosphere. Service is quick but never rushed.
