Le Midi Bar & Restaurant
Great food and service as always.
Excellent all around. Great place for lunch date.
This was our second visit to Le Midi. It was was excellent again. We had Coq au Vin and a medium rare duck breast dish. Probably the best tasting Coq au Vin I've eaten - and I make a mean Coq Au Vin. (But I have to get the recipe). The atmosphere was quiet enough to relax and hear conversation and the wait staff was very nice and attentive. Le Midi is officially a "regular place" to eat in Manhattan.
Near miracle of a relatively quiet place with quite good, reliable food in this neighborhood.
Delicious food, great service, nice setting.
Amazing food and awesome service. I will visit again..
Everything about this restaurant is perfect!
Our first visit to Le Midi was excellent. We had Coq au Vin and a medium rare duck breast dish. They advertise the Coq au Vin as "authentic," and it is. My wife's duck was made perfectly and came with delicious potato au gratin. Probably the best tasting Coq au Vin I've eaten. The atmosphere was quiet enough to relax and hear conversation and the wait staff was very nice and attentive. We're going to visit again with our friends.
We received excellent service for the waitress.
And our meals (we both had roasted duck breast) we're absolutely delicious.
I was also very happy with my cosmopolitan.
I will be definitely coming back to Le Midi again.
My friends and I had a very enjoyable meal. We all had the Prixe Fix which was three courses for $29.00....a very good value. I had the onion soup for a $2.00 up charge. It was delicious. My friend and I had the Steak Frites which was Hangar steak with delicious fries and salad. My other friend had the risotto. She did not enjoy her meal as much as we enjoyed ours. Rice pudding for dessert was exceptional because it was not too sweet and was very creamy. We would go back.
Le Midi never disappoints! We love the salad nicoise and the duck confit salad. The octopus appetizer is also a winner. Terrific neighborhood place.
Nice wine list too.
Very charming atmosphere, great food and service. Would definitely come back again.
Pre fix dinner before a show at the David Roth theater. What a find! Service was excellent and the food was plentiful, well prepared and tasty. At under $30 you couldn’t get a better meal. Drink prices on the happy hour menus were very reasonable too. Even though we live on the UES we plan to make this a regular dining spot.
Absolutely a great place. Excellent food at moderate prices.
Good value for the price. Place you can go with friends and not feel rushed. Good wine list.
I have been to Le Midi 4 times - all brunches. Food is good and price is reasonable. I like the ambiance and decor of the restaurant. The staff friendly and attentive. Recommended: crab cake Benedict with hollandaise, croque Madame, eggs Benedict, frisée aux lardons. And for dessert: sorbet (mango-coconut-raspberry), berry tart, poached Bosc pear. Becoming my favorite brunch place and have brought family and friends there. Next is to try their dinner menu.
Have dined at Le Midi several times and it seems like things were a little off. Started at the bar where the happy hour specials are always a good deal. The service at the bar was good but I did notice that several of the bar stools could stand to have their cushions recovered. Service once we were seated for dinner was a little spotty. We started with truffle fries which arrived cold and then a request for ketchup took several minutes to fill. The cassoulet special was good but nothing special. The lamb and mushroom ravioli were both good as always. The wine list includes some hidden gems and we always love to root them out to enjoy. Overall a good evening with a couple of things that need a little work. We'll likely be back.
I loved everything about this place. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly! Can't wait to go back.
The food, service, and ambience were fabulous.! I took my husband here for his Birthday. We both ordered the sea bass for dinner after appetizers of onion soup and salad. My husband commented that the fish was one of the best preparations he had ever had anywhere in the world. The fish and sauce were the perfect combination of tastes. We finished dinner with a bottle of wine, sorbet and flan. Perfection!
The best restaurant in the neighborhood.
My wife and friends have been to Le Midi many times through the years and it never disappoints. We live in the neighborhood and it is our go to restaurant for prix fix meals and also for celebrations and whenever we have visitors to New York City. The service is professional as well as friendly, not snooty. The food is excellent or we would not return. The pricing is fair, not overly expensive, but also not cheap. The atmosphere is intimate even though it is a large restaurant with a large bar, it still feels very much like a neighborhood place to go. I like the onion soup and order it every time. My wife loves the duck breast or the salmon as well as the sea bass. Great food, good service, quiet to moderate atmosphere where one can hear your friends conversations, what could be better?
Outstanding service, food was amazing and the price was right... the only thing missing was candles on the tables to make vive a little warmer :)
Solid, well-prepared French bistro fare. Very rich!
The service here was outstanding! The staff is very friendly, accommodating and professional. It was a little french escape for my guest that were visiting from the Caribbean. The fish dish was a hit! Drinks were on point so says my guest(preggo, so guest I'll be returning to try at a later time)!
Thank you for serving the best birthday dinner for us.
Love this spacious French style restaurant and the food is wonderful. We had the salad Nicoise, with roasted tuna that was perfection, with tons of vegetables and wonderful dressing on the side. All the food is delicious there. And I love the Happy Hour wine list - excellent and wide selections. This is a great
place for any time, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. My fave.
Le Midi offers very good French bistro fare at a good value. The happy hour should not be missed. Our waiter was informed about the menu and attentive. The location makes it accessible by multiple subway lines.
I am a regular at Le Midi and brought a friend after making a recommendation. We ordered salads and truffle fries to share - asking for the fries to come first. We waited well over 30-45 mins which is unusual for this restaurant as the service is always good. After watching food go past us to every other table, we checked with the waiter - he apologized profusely and the manager offered us free drinks, which was very nice. The salads and fries came together which wasn’t ideal but the waiter didn’t said he didn’t understand English fully so had missed our request. He was overwhelmed being the only person on that night with a full restaurant to serve so it wasn’t his fault. However, despite the slow service we had a lovely evening.
Great dinner at great price!
Lovely and accommodating servers!
Miryame was a amazing server !! She took care of my family . Very upbeat and know about her wines. As far a the decor . Je vivais un très bon moment comme ci j’étais en France 🇫🇷. Thank you very much !
We had an early dinner before a show. The food was fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious. The wait staff was attentive, but not hovering. The salmon and avocado tartare was exceptional. Yum!
The service and food were fine. There were four of us, and we all agreed the portions were ample and food was prepared well. However, the noise level was deafening. Really loud and probably would not return because of the noise level.
I’ve been going to LeMidi for years. Perfect location to movie theater. Food is consistent and very delicious
Le Midi is a favorite for lunch & dinner. Food is always good: service very good, and you're never rushed out.
we lucked out and got a fairly quiet corner at Le Midi
The menu had quite a good variety of choices
Wine list was decent and not over priced
The octopus appetizer and duck confit salad will keep us coming back
Nice and quiet enough for everyone at a group lunch to hear one another.
Our new favorite French place in the city! Great value with the prix fixe menu. The food was delicious and great service.
What a charming restaurant! The food is delicious, the setting is pretty, and the service is friendly.
