Very good french "lyonnaise" cuisine. As I know City of Lyon is the most famous place for french cuisine. Chief is from Lyon.

The food and decor were both very dated. Special cut vegetables as garnish, off serving dishes (seafood in a clam shell, desert in a margarita glass), and the menu feels like it hasn’t been changed since the 1980’s. Very “classic” food prepared only so-so. We were a table of 4 sitting around 1900. We ordered a veggie bisque, deviled eggs and mayo salad and escargot for appetizers. The snails were good but, frankly, drench anything in garlic and butter and it’s taste good. The bisque lacked seasoning and the salad was too cold with bitter greens. The entrees included the special (rabbit and quail), coq a vin, seafood crepe, and shrimp and scallops. The quail and rabbit were dry and smothered in a brown sauce that was way too salty. The coq a vin was also dry. the crepe and shrimp/scallops were good though simple. We had desert and all were okay-ish. The service was good although they expect you to take your time so the meal won’t be quick. This appears to be an older but much loved restaurant that is sliding into retirement. I could not recommend it for any occasion and there is much better food at the same price point almost everywhere.

After arriving and waiting ten minutes, while in the foyer, to be greeted, we waited again another 15 minutes to be seated. 20minutes after sitting, we left without even the offer of a cocktail. Shameful disregard for its customers. We will not be back!

Our worst dining experience in more than 40 years. We arrived at 6:45, a little early for our 7:00 pm reservations, and stood in the lobby for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement that we were there. A waitress finally came by and said she'd find the hostess. Another 10 minutes went by and then a woman with no hint of a smile asked our names and said she's be right back. Another 10 minutes went by before. she returned, again without any hint of a welcome, and we were seated at about 7:15 (the table, and several others, had been empty since we arrived). Our waitress was friendly, though maybe I'm getting old but I don't appreciate a couple being referred to as "you guys". We ordered at 7:30. No appetizers or cocktails, just soup and seafood crepes. The French onion soup arrived timely though the crouton was mush. The main course arrived at 8:30. The crepes were delicate but the scallops were bland, not sweet, and the shrimp was tough, some with the shells still and some were cold. After finishing our meal, we sat another 20 minutes before our waitress returned to ask about dessert. Not wanting to wait another hour for dessert, we paid our bill and left, never to return. A couple that arrived 5 minutes after us, also with a 7 pm reservation, told us that it was their 3rd visit and that the previous time the service had been very slow but they were giving it one more chance. They were seated shortly after us and we noticed that when their waitress didn't arrived at their table until 7:45, they got up and left.

Although our food was good, the level of service was incredibly disproportionate to the price point. Our three-course meal took over two and a half hours. Our server barely checked on us during this entire time. We were served the wrong food and then made to feel like it was somehow our fault. We were not offered any reason for the mistake or even extra bread while we had to wait even longer for our first course. I ordered a second drink with our meals that was never brought to the table. Tables around us also received the wrong food and audibly complained about the length of time between courses. We do not mind paying well for a meal for two, but we do expect a level of service that is better than your typical experience. The service was substandard for any restaurant. We will not be returning.

We’ve been here the last 6 Valentines Days. The food is outstanding. The service is not. Last year after waiting 30 minutes for a return of my change we thought it just an aberration. We booked again. This year we sat at our table 55 minutes before we got menus and a drink. I had to track someone down. It won’t happen again.
