Excellent service and food! Highly recommended with an amazing view of the Hudson River:)
Wife and I took my mother to lunch and food was very good, Had salmon with pasta and an excellent Chicken Marsala. Views are great as was the service.
Of the 7 courses our group had (3 apps, 3 entrees, 1 dessert) only 2 rated as even average. Just awful quality and taste. Dated decor, and amateurish service. Very disappointing.
Great Skyline View of New York, excellent service and amazing food.
As always... outstanding.
Each dish was a pleasant surprise with flavors abundant.
And the Service is always excellent. We'll be back soon.
80th birthday. Everything was excellent. View was great. Service was attentive but not rushed. Deserts were not up to par with everything else. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Great service, beautiful view, but the quality of the food has gone down.
Both the Cod and the halibut were no up to this restaurant's normal standards.
This restaurant has it all - from the unobstructed view of the Hudson River, Manhattan and the GW Bridge, to the food (quality and variety), the friendly attentive service, valet parking, and warm welcome. We had tuna tartare and escargots with mushrooms as appetizers, and red snapper with shellfish, pistachio crusted rack of lamb, and porterhouse steak for our entrees, all accompanied by fresh vegetables. Each was prepared to order, delicious and generously portioned. Though we had let them know we were celebrating a birthday, we were pleasantly surprised when the waiter presented a beautiful dessert with a candle!
In rating the noise level I picked "energetic" only because there was a corporate function taking place at the time that was unusually loud. This is not typical.
It's worth a trip over the bridge to dine here.
Everyth was excellent. the food, the view. Truly amazing
I was excited to try this restaurant out for Valentine's day since my fiance and I are going to Paris for our honeymoon we wanted to do everything French during the year! Our waiter was very short and almost rude with us when he came to take our order. We didn't even get menus yet and he just kept asking us for our orders - we had no idea yet! My fiance asked him for a wine recommendation and he just pointed to one and then just continued to ask us for our orders (we still have yet to get a menu). When we finally got our orders in the service was EXTREMELY SLOW! My appetizer (mozzarella and tomato salad) tasted bland. No flavor at all. We finished our bottle of wine before our entree even came out - not because we're heavy drinkers but because we were just left at our table to wait for hours. Our reservation was at 7:30pm and we got our entree at around 9:15pm. When it was time for desert we were left at our table for about 30 minutes without any coffee (that was supposed to be included with our desert) before I had to walk over to our waiter and ask him for our desert and the check with it (at this point we just wanted to get out of there!). Our desert finally came and we had to wait about 20 minutes for our check. We don't live far from the restaurant and we got home at 10:30pm. Ridiculous!
The food wasn't that great either. I had the salmon and it tasted very fishy. No flavor. My fiance had the rack of lamb and he said it was okay. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I would suggest to go to a French restaurant in NYC instead - I'm sure there are much better restaurants across the Hudson.
Thanks for the wonderful experience, the waitres was so kindfull and explain the menu offfers with experty and full knoledge.
60th birthday
This upscale restaurant with wonderful Hudson River views is quite good. Service is excellent. Attentive and not over bearing. Warm bread with butter and tampenade brought to the table. Wine list is extensive and pricey with just a few bottles at $40+. Onion soup to start was hot and cheesey but slightly too salty for me. My wife started with a first rate escargot with mushrooms. I had a prime steak which was prepared as requested. Fries while excellent were commercial. Steak also came with snap peas and carrots. My wife had the salmon which was a touch dry. Both entrees came with a dipping sauce which I enjoyed but my wife passed on. We skipped dessert as we were full. All in all, a nice dinner.
very tasty food and attentive waiters. Valet was easy. Unfortunately there were 2 very loud parties going on so it was tough to talk. But the restaurant could be very romantic if no parties were occurring
Love Le Jardin. My dinner wasn't tip-top this time but they took it off the bill. I unhesitatingly recommend this restaurant. We go about 3-4 times a year and it is the perfect spot for anything and everything. The wait staff is impeccable.
Wonderful evening with beautiful company great servive
Went for Christmas early dinner. Terrific view, but noisy. Nice service. My veal chop was tasteless and nearly over done (I ordered medium rare), but my wife's Red Snapper with scallops, clams and muscles was absolutely terrific! Desserts are huge and really good. Valet parking, thank God!
Beautiful views. Good food and service. We're coming back for more fine food.
We love Le Jardin and have been there many times. But last Saturday was not a good experience. There were two extremely noisy Christmas parties plus a pianist and we had to shout to make our conversation heard. We think that the management should have told us when we made the reservation that the experience in the restaurant was going to different. We will probably go back on a quieter night, but not for a while.
We also felt that the food was not as good as it usually is.
I have wonderful much. The people was really atenty, as well the location is amazing. The food, is excellent and delightful.Thd custom ,service is really good.
I love that place
It was great, we loved view, the food and Ambience. Our server was amazing!!!
Was attracted to this restaurant because of its classification as a "French" restaurant and because of its location on the Hudson with a view of Manhattan. It delivered on both of these counts although the food was just OK and the view of Manhattan is much better further south. The first red flag was the number of specials. When a restaurant has multiple specials, it makes you wonder what is wrong with the regular menu and if they are trying to get rid of product. The tuna special had a not so fresh taste but my veal chop off the regular menu and my banana bread pudding were quite satisfying. My wife was upset about the temperature of her mashed potatos, too cold. Mine were the right temperature and I also have to commend the complimentary bread which was warm and quite good. If I was a local I would come here again but we had to drive an hour to get here and I don't that is worth repeating again.
Le Jardin never disappoints. View is stellar, service is attentive without getting intrusive, and the food is just wonderful. Seafood is always fresh, the kitchen is very flexible about adjusting portion sizes or customized requests. I make it a point to go here whenever I'm close.
Tasty food, excellent service, great bartenders. Eaten here many times. Home run every time.
Anniversary 25 years
It was a great way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Only thing that put a damper was that a party was going on it the room in front. It was a little bit loud but a bigger problem was the lights from the dj. Maybe curtains could be put up to keep the flashing lights and disco ball lights from the eyes of other guests.
The food and service were great.
Classic restaurant with beautiful view of the Hudson River and northern Manhattan. Food and service were great.
Excellent food, nice size portions.
Great view & good service
I'm sure there are worse restaurants on OpenTable. I just haven't encountered them.
That awkward, awkward 10 minutes between being seated and getting our menus.
That horrible moment when we look at the menus and realize that this "French" restaurant is primarily (bad) Italian cuisine.
The bland, bland, bland, bland food.
This restaurant has a view of the Hudson river and the NYC skyline. If you'd like to pay a lot for bad food, a boring menu, a waiter who never reveals the daily specials, and passive-aggressive hosts, in exchange for a view of water...this is your place.
I have seldom felt so embarassed by a restaurant. Please don't take a date here. Go alone, with the hope that you'll win the lottery and find decent food on the menu. Hint: Order the Italian food which you can get at any NJ diner. That's most of the menu, and it's the only thing with which I'd trust the chef.
Service was very dry i order my steak it came out med well i ask for medium the view was very nice but that was about it i had just got my car washed when i got it back it had mud all over it i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone
Food was good but without any distinctive flavor or seasoning. View was beautiful on terrace but very noisy. Very expensive for dinner.
This place was great. The service was great and the food was excellent. The waiter was attentive to our needs and made us very comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone I know.
One my favorite places.... I been coming for a few years and. Always enjoy it.
Great Atmosphere out on the back deck on a beautiful night. Happy hour at the outside bar was ending just as we arrive, and that looked fun too.
Hi I think that everyone had a job to do and they new it everything was great! There was a big table next to us so it was a little loud but overall it was a great experience!
Service was exceptional our waiter Sammy was terrific
We sat outside on a beautiful afternoon. Everything was perfect except the music. Its a romantic setting and they had "dance" music blasting. Didn't fit.
Amazing views ! The food was great as well, drinks and hospitality. Thank you for taking well car of us and being so friendly !
From the lovely welcome through every aspect of the service, meal presentation and food quality this place was superb. And the view is incomparable.
Outstanding service from Freddy the waiter.
Appetizer, entree,dessert, coffee and drinks,
