Overall great experience! We sat next to a bridal shower today and still enjoyed every minute of our experience so I can only imagine the ambience on an average day.(They gave us the option to sit somewhere else but we wanted the view. Plus the bridal shower seemed fun haha)
The food was amazing. I think my steak was a little too expensive for what it was but still very tasty.
Definitely plan on coming back for special occasions. My wife and truly loved it.
Food was good except I couldnt fully enjoy with all the smoke coming in from the patio into the dinning area.
There was a Party that had at least 6 tables of 10. They should have closed the Restaurant as there wasn't a lot of other Diners. Way way too loud, especially the Singer.
Brought my wife here to celebrate her new promotion. This place did not disappoint. It has valet parking, with 2 friendly valet guys. It's huge inside, it has outdoor dining by the water and the view facing the NYC skyline and the majestic George Washington bridge is magnificent.
The servers were very cordial and helpful suggesting the meal of the day, specially Freddie.
My wife and I ordered Escargot for appetizer, I got me Lobster Bisque for soupe du jour, for entrees my wife ordered Duck A L'Orange, and I got me the Blackened Spicy Swordfish. The food was extraordinary, her duck was so crispy on the outside and very moist/tender on the inside. My swordfish was a big thick filet, tasty spices and perfectly cooked.
We would definitely come back again and try the many other meals they offer on their menu.
Very nice restaurant, great view, good service , friendly staff, great food !! Love go to Le Jardin !!
Great location, great view. The outdoor space is worth a drop-by for a cocktail or 2. Our meal was very good but not great. Try the cheesecake. Will be back for their bar menu. Old school.
We have dined at Le Jardin many times. Although we live about 40 min away we still make the trip.
iT IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN MY AREA
Love this place, gorgeous view! Service and food quality are outstanding, with the nice outside bar you can enjoy the beautiful view of New York City!
We have been there few times, but never again.
we were 4 people, 3 of us spent the night with stomach issues after eating there. I guess food (seafood) wasn't that fresh.
There was a huge piece of plastic wrapper in the veal entree. After my fiancée choked on it and we asked them to take our meals away, they brought the check without the veal taken off, even though he didn’t eat more than 1/4 of it. It was a total waste of a meal and our time. They refused to do anything about it and were extremely rude. It’s a shame because the food is good and the view is lovely but we will never go back due to the way it was handled.
We decided to try the restaurant based on the excellent reviews and had a wonderful evening. The views are spectacular from just about any table, but our seating outside was beautiful. For dinner, we ordered the sea bass and lamb chops and enjoyed both very much. Definitely recommend the restaurant
We chose it because it’s on Hudson River. We sat at patio with decent Upper Manhattan and GW bridge view. Midtown and lower Manhattan are not visible. The ambience is nice. But the food is so so. It’s supposed to be French but really it’s just regular American. It doesn’t taste bad but nothing to be impressed either. A bit underwhelming.
Surprised my date and I with a complimentary dessert for our 1-year anniversary. Very kind and thoughtful gesture. Phenomenal view and great service. Very happy with my dining experience.
Nice view. Upscale restaurant. Pricey for what it was and fairly empty on a sun nite.
Almost too pretentious. Food was good but not amazing
Service was adequate but nothin special
The service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive. We sat in the enclosed glass area that had a nice view of the GW bridge and part of the city skyline. The food was very good. It was a really nice meal.
Ambiance was amazing, food was superb! We ate outside - it wasn’t too crowded for a Friday at 8pm. I was pleasantly surprised as I couldn’t get the website to load the gallery but we went bc the menu looked great!
Live singer as well was excellent! Really a wonderful night.
We will be coming here again very soon! Definitely value for what you pay and the atmosphere is perfect for dates, anniversaries, I feel like it was romantic.
Birthday dinner at Le Jardin. Attentive wait staff, terrific food preparation and large portions.
Love...love....love this place! Great atmosphere, good service and amazing food! Ohhhh and the bar outside 👌🏻👍🏻 best drinks
My husband and I had a wonderful lunch. Food and service were great. The view stunning.
The food was excellent here! View was amazing it was a little loud because of the live entertainment which I feel brought an “older” crowd.
I can’t say I enjoyed my experience. For the class this place is shooting for and the way it was recommended - food was only okay. And the foreground “view” disappointed. I hope they’ll do something nice about that space that looks like it has been bulldozed.
The service was fast and very attentive. Maybe a little too fast - for people who want to have a longer conversation and catch up.
Tuna tartare was almost inedible. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came well done. The waiter took it back and my boyfriend had to sit there with his food in front of him while we waited for them to remake my food. He ordered lamb chops and they were extremely gamey.
View was amazing, food was great.
Le Jardín offers breathtaking views, good service, and okay meals at prices that are a bit too high I would go back to enjoy cocktails at the covered outdoor bar, but probably won’t return for dinner.
Compares well to all of the fine restaurants in Edgewater, Fort Lee and Englewood Cliffs.
City and river view is nice but not as nice as the restaurants facing midtown and lower Manhattan
Noise level is loud with the music bouncing off the expanse of glass facing the Hudson River and the Upper west side of Manhattan.
Parking is by valet to an adjacent lot. Traffic tie-ups in River Road when picking up and dropping off diners.
Unfortunately Le Jardin which is a favorite restaurant of mine, did not live up to expectations. There were three parties going on at once plus an extremely loud band in the interior bar section, so conversation was difficult at best. There was a screaming child whose parents apparently felt no obligation to allow the rest of the diners to enjoy their meal if the parents couldn't and the restaurant did not could not ameliorate the situation. My husband ordered the tuna which were accompanied by cold mashed potatoes and it was overcooked. The pasta dish our friend ordered was also cold. The mashed potatoes were promptly replaced with an additional portion of cold potatoes. the remaining two meals were fine as were the salads.
So overall I would still say give the restaurant a try but stay away on weekends.
Good food, beautiful place, small portions
Everything was absolutely delicious! The view was beautiful. Waitstaff was attentive. Will definitely return.
We were seated next to a large group who were very loud, so sometimes we couldn't even hear each other. The view is great, but we couldn't sit outside because they allow smoking. The waiter was very attentive but at the end we couldn't get our check. It took about 15 or more minutes. The food unfortunately was not really anything I would recommend. I've had much better French food.
The ambiance was very nice. The view terrific. Ordered the tuna tartar and I was afraid to eat. It didn’t look fresh. Dinner was ok. Unfortunately we’d only go back for drinks.
The ambiance at Le Jardin cannot be surpassed!
Very good, Very consistent.
Le Jardin is one of the best restaurants in Edgewater, NJ. My wife and I have been there multiple times. Their escargot is phenomenal, their lamb....well, wow - that's the only word that comes to mind. Their wine is of great selection, and their caviar comes with a great number of assortments. If you want a great experience, ask for Daniel to be your server. College kid in his 20s, and great service and knowledge of the restaurant industry. The manager is beyond. If you are nice to them, they will be over-grateful for your stay. If you're visiting, or simply live within 20 miles, do not hesitate to eat at this place. Washington Bridge views, great culture, and better food than any of the other "high dining" places in the area. Trust me, I've been to all of them.
Reserved window table but did not get the table.
The food and service was very good. Can't beat the view. We will be back.
We had a lovely evening with a beautiful meal and outstanding service.
Went there for my wife’s birthday lunch. Service, food, atmosphere & view were all great. Three course lunch special had very nice choices. Staff was very welcoming. Waiter, barmaid & valet all asked us back. New outdoor patio should be finished any day. That will be a great addition to a very nice restaurant.
Have been for Mother’s Day brunch 3 times and always wanted to experience it in the evening.
Great ambiance, staff was friendly.
Our food was delicious and wine selection is varied which is always a plus.
My chocolate martini was great.
We didn’t do dessert because we had no room but there’s always next time!
