About Le Grill Restaurant
The Grill is one of Geneva’s most modern restaurants. It suffuses an unforgettable atmosphere: an open kitchen, live cooking, a wine cellar and fridges in then open, it is Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva’s little gem. Daily menus at lunch time, tender, tasty pieces of meat, sea breams, Swiss hamburgers… It is Christian Louboutin’s favorite Geneva restaurant, for its “hushed locale and its soothing view of the harbour”.

Le Grill Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
It was good but not great. I mean everything - ambience, service and food. Wrote a note to them that its special occasion and still had to remind them when already there. One guy came with cake and half-sung happy birthday. Not really prepared for that kind of stuff. Looked more like a place for business meal for loaded people as paying 60 for a bottle of cheap wine is a bit exaggerated.
I visited recently for a business meal and we very much enjoyed ourselves.
On the whole, the food was very good and everyone enjoyed their selection. The foie gras was delicious, but sandwiched unnecessarily between thin slices of melon (I believe...) which did not complement the dish at all. The drinks were excellent and served promptly.
We had a few small issues with service being a bit slow and disjointed (on the food front), but an overcooked steak was quickly rectified by the kitchen. Otherwise the service was pretty good.
On the whole, this was an enjoyable meal with a great view of the lake. I'd happily recommend the restaurant, even though it's a little on the pricey side (like much of Geneva).
When you go to a steakhouse and the favorite dish is french fries that should say a lot. The pork ribs were unremarkable aside from "I wouldn't order them again." The filet of beef was tough and lacked flavor. Service was acceptable but she did strongly recommend both dishes.
Le Gristle. Perhaps the worst steak I have ever had. The steak was solid gristle, and virtually inedible. Staff seemed unconcerned and the manager did not even come over to apologize, or offer a solution. Too bad. Beautiful setting overlooking Lake Geneva, but a real zero for dining and customer interest. Go elsewhere.
Very calm and pleasant environment. Very good steaks served with a variety of accompanying sauces and three sizes of fries !! Not outstanding but a good place for a business lunch for people with a good expense allowance. Calm was appreciated although one can wonder why on a business day at lunchtime only four tables were occupied . Maybe fewer people have large expense accounts.
Average dining experience overall for a 5 star restaurant. Immediatly whenI sat down I noticed that my chair was unsteady.
We ordered the burger and a steak frites...the food was of average taste except the fries trio which was very good.
3 glasses of red wine.. The server served me wine from 2 different bottles..very strange.
The staff were friendly in general but need more training in hospitality and fine catering. They seem geared more for tourists who may never comeback and so they are over familiar and have a pub approach to service.
Exceedently expensive for the food, even more for the wines, no wines on a huge list were reasonably priced, poor and little choice on food menu, only the view was okay, it had scaffoldings outside on the sidewalk which hindered the view. I have never been so disappointed wth a restaurant. I wanted to leave but my son didn't think it was appropriate so we stayed but ate very little. As the main meal was overthetop pricy, we both had bottled water which was around 11 FRC Swiss francs each to accompany our meal. I did not order any wine nor any dessert , which I usually order. We were adjacent to a loud table of 8 people which I know, is not the restaurants' fault. My son and I ate the main meal as soon as it arrived at our table and then quickly asked for to pay the bill without leaving a tip, which I have never done in 40 years of travelling and going to different restaurants around the world. Never again.
The night we visited the Grill at Grand Hotel Kempinski it was a bit quiet. We had a nice table near a window looking over the lovely lake in Geneva. I enjoyed one of the better steaks I've had in Switzerland (600g Côte de Boeuf). Service was pretty good and overall it was a pretty nice evening.
