Great dinner! We love coming here, the steak was amazing and the vibe is always super cozy and welcoming. We came here for my boyfriends birthday and really enjoyed ourselves a nice dinner.
The restaurant was closed and no one notified us despite having a reservation.
I certainly would .....and I have many times. Most if those I invite say it is now their new favorite restaurant.
We very much enjoyed the experience from every aspect. We’ve visited many French restaurants throughout the city and Le Gigot was/is memorable for all the right reasons. We look forward to our next visit.
Fabulous as always.
This is a wonderful little restaurant with classic French food, a very friendly staff, and a relaxed, intimate vibe.
Wonderful food. Excellent ambiance, location and service.
The restaurant is tiny and you’re close to most guests and tables but it’s the typical Downtown NYC vibe if that’s what you’re looking for. Food was excellent honestly best Bass I think I’ve ever had and my girls dish was phenomenal as well. I can’t remember what her dish was called but it was essentially a thick beef stew. Great wine as well. Perfect date spot
Another very pleasant evening at our favorite area restaurant.
For 20 years Le Gigot has always been our “number one” for classic French Bistro cuisine.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The menu has the classics we love to come for but there are specials to keep it interesting.
Pamela, the owner, and her staff will make you feel like family in this respite from the hustle and bustle of the City
You will leave Le Gigot thinking about when your next time to have dinner there will be!
Le Gigot, a tiny French bistro in the Village, is a neighborhood gem.
Always great all the time
Charming gem in heart of West Village
reliably good food, superb service, and truly cozy space
great, classic standby
Fantastic service and the food is excellent, straightforward French.
absolutely yummy and very charming. felt like i was transported to france!
The food was good , however I felt that the menu was a bit pricey for what we got. My friend and I decided to forgo having a glass of wine, to help keep the cost reasonable.
I had the Coq Au Vin, and my friend had the roast chicken -
We both enjoyed our food choices.
The atmosphere is charming and has a local quality.
Still our favorite “new” find — perhaps only new to us, but we love the intimacy, the friendly service and the food!
A Village classic!
Lovely, intimate atmosphere lace with excellent bistro fare. Everything cooked to perfection.
Another wonderful evening at Le Gigot! Food wine service and atmosphere are wonderful!
We have been going to Le Gigot for over 20 years for all our family special occasions and it is always a great experience!
We went for a Sunday brunch and the pre fixed menu was pretty good -- priced at $22 including juice or coffee/tea. However, it was pretty disappointing that there was no alternatives to whole milk (no soy, almond, skim, oatmeal, etc.) ... which for one of guest was a problem as she has a dairy allergy. Also, it was pretty disappointing that for Sunday brunch, rather than coffee or juice, a mimosa or bellini or like drink was not included in the pre-fixe price. Finally, the poached eggs were a little overdone and were very small. Would have been nice if the poached eggs were large, extra large or jumbo size, rathar than small or, at best, medium.
Wonderful quaint bistro with phenomenal service!
Just a great local bistro. Wish there were more of this type of restaurant.
Food and service are absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended little gem...merci!
We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Every part of the experience was incredible.
Absolutely fantastic food. So flavorful and delicious
One of the best restaurants in Manhattan
On a busy pre-holiday evening the management was sensitive and accommodating about making us most comfortable by changing our table. Very much appreciated
We had the most lovely time at Le Gigot. Derrick and the rest of the staff were beyond accommodating and attentive. Would visit this restaurant time and time again.
Excellent French food. ‘Nuff said. Everything was great but the rack of lamb, today’s special, was exceptional. Will be back.
The special was delicious. Always ask what the special is, or what they would recommend, they won't steer you wrong. (Ask for the price of the special, too. Otherwise the bill can shock you.)
The mussels tasted like butt, but everything else was absolutely incredible. And the staff is amazing.
We love this restaurant. It is a small, cozy "neighborhood" style place. The service has always been friendly and welcoming, and the French country menu is superb. I especially enjoy going in the Fall/Winter when they feature their renowned cassoulet. It's a six hour drive for us, so we don't get to go as often as we like, but if we are ever anywhere near NYC, this is a "must stop" place for dinner.
Comida auténtica francesa, como comer en casa de la abuela(q cocina divino).
Recomiendo decorar de nuevo.
We had an excellent meal at Le Gigot! It isn't the most elegant restaurant, but the food was wonderful, the service was great, and we could hear each other! We went to NYC in search of authentic French bistro food and found it in Le Gigot. Highly recommended!
Delicious food, wonderful staff, quintessential French bistro!
Overpriced! The food was very good but I've had better bouillabaisse. The house wine was not good.
A good restaurant. Good food, great ambiance, good location, realistic service. A keeper.
Wonderful food, service, and ambiance. Best beef bourguignon I’ve ever eaten! Will definitely return.
Brunch is really good. We had the crab cakes Benedict and it’s so good.
This is a perfect little bistro hideaway on Cornelia Street. The small, intimate space makes you feel like you're in a French village. The cuisine is straightforward, classic, and deliciously satisfying. Standouts on this visit were the crab cake appetizer, and the lamb loin noisettes. Service was friendly and attentive. I can't recommend this place enough, and always visit when I'm in New York City.
