If you like French food Le Gigot is a must. Service is excellent. The wine selection is limited but all are good choices. The duck confit and pappardelle with short ribs are favorites. For desert try the banana flambé or the brioche pudding.
This was our second time to Le Gigot and it was just as good as we remembered. It's a tiny space-- very cozy ,warm, and off the beaten path. The food is outstanding and the service was great too. My husband got the coq a vin and I had the arctic char. Both were so flavorful. We cleaned our plates! Great place for a date or special occasion. Can't wait to go back.
A quiet, small enclave on a side street in the West Village. Authentic French bistro cuisine, simply prepared, with a small but astute wine list. One of the few American establishments that is genuinely managed in the best of informal French cuisine traditions.
Had brunch. A cute place with a great staff. The food was very good.
Le Gigot is the most authentic French cuisine I’ve had in quite some time. Everything was delicious (I wish I had asked if I could go home with a loaf of their bread), but the Crème Brûlée was perfection.
We went for a special dinner for our son's birthday. The food was perfect I had the special, Sea Bass with roasted vegetables... perfection.
We finished off with Crème Brulee and Bananas Flambé not sure which one I enjoyed more.
Both my husband and son had wonderful meals, lamb stew and beef bourguignon.
One of our favorite NYC restaurants. The gracious owner, the efficient wait and bus staff, the consistently wonderful food (everything on the menu is worth ordering) all combine for a lovely dining experience. And in addition, you can have a conversation with your dining companions without shouting. All in all, a special restaurant.
A fantastic, cozy gem with delicious food. We’ll be back!
Mid week so not crowded and wonderful in all respects: delicious food, great service, comfortable ambience. Kind of a neighborhood country French restaurant. We loved it as we have before.
Once again Le Gigot does not disappoint. The best duck confit I have ever had. My husband loves the bouillabaisse. The service is quietly attentive. We found this gem years ago and keep coming back.
We were looking for a small, reasonably priced restaurant to meet new friends and get to know them better. Le Gigot was a perfect choice. It's small and intimate, and at 6:00 pm we had it almost to ourselves. The food was great: beef bourguignon, bouillabaisse and hanger steak - not a morsel left on anyone's plate. Even though the restaurant is very small, we didn't feel pressured to leave after we were done. Will definitely go back and recommend it to friends.
This place is a gem. Great food, even better service.
Great food. Great service. Attentive staff!
Moules Provencale, Esgargot very good.
Ongelet & Frites prepared perfectly.
Sea bass special was great.
Cassoulet was the best i have had since I was in the south of France!
Can't wait to go again.
One of our favorite restaurants, the food is very good and creative. We particularly love the crabcakes, which are the best we've ever had, including crabcakes served on the Maryland shore. The restaurant is small and a bit cramped, and the service is quite timely, knowledgeable and personal.
Great French comfort food served up by a great staff. Quarters are a bit tight but isn't that the Paris experience? Every one on staff was extremely friendly, personable, and helpful - thoroughly enjoyable! The frisee salad was one of the most delicious salads I've ever had.
Love this spot - one of my favorites. Amazing gluten-free options!!
Great for a date or to take your out-of-town friends. Food was delicious. Really enjoyed the creme brûlée. Will definitely go back again.
shades of the old village. this cozy place on a quiet west village street is just right for a romantic dinner. french bistro food excellent, attentive servers, noise level fosters conversation. worth a try; a return place for us.
This is my favorite restaurant and I can’t give it enough superlatives!!!! I don’t want the atmosphere to ever change—it is divine in its warmth.
I love Le Gigot. Not trendy, just good, well prepared. I go here frequently
