Love this place. Always fresh food. Service is great, friendly, knowledgeable. Can’t miss!!
Every time I come to this restaurant I feel like I’m back in Paris. Such a great restaurant.
Wonderful dining experience. Caring and attentive staff. Delicious and authentic cuisine. Look forward to the next visit.
Such fabulous service! Great/always fresh food.
We enjoyed everything about our visit to Le Gigot. The meal and wine were fantastic, the wait staff attentive but not overly so, and we could eat outside which was lovely. Will definitely go again when we are in NYC.
Great, classic bistro. Tasty. Lovely staff.
Cozy, sweet and charming West Village French restaurant. Classic Parisian bistro fare done superbly. Service is at once friendly, warm and unpretentious yet impeccably stylish and classic. House wine suggestions were perfect. Would be a favorite left bank bistro in Paris. Not cheap but far less expensive than flying there!
Just a lovely experience from arrival to departure. Outdoor seating was such a treat!
Le Gigot just keeps getting better and better. A wonderful staff, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere.
Great food in a quaint restaurant. Service was somewhat slow but that is the French way afterall!
Cute place with authentic French cuisine. Great service and ambience.
Very good food and service. I love the coziness of the place as well. Looking forward to my next meal there.
Expertly cooked and first class. Portions are generous for the price. Excellent and super friendly service. Never pushy.
Wonderful little gem on Cornelia st. Outstanding in every way
Classic French Bistro food. Close your eyes and you are in Paris (I have been there twenty times). Lamb was five stars, as was the Bouillabaisse. Will be back soon to try the rest of menu!
My husband and I were delighted to discover that Le Gigot has survived the pandemic and is still owned by the same people that made this such a special place for over 20 years. We had an early dinner outside on a Sunday evening. The service was friendly, efficient, and very attentive. The menu remains much the same, with stars like fresh oysters and the delicious no-bread-crumbs crab cake for starters. We also enjoyed the pâté maison, the onglet, and the moules frites. My only criticism, and it’s a small one, is that the frites need to be crispier.
A genuine west village night-- wonderful! definitely coming back soon
We had my daughter’s birthday dinner here. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. I highly recommend coming to this amazing restaurant.
Delightful meal with spectacular service. Always nice to see different options on a menu - always fresh, perfectly prepared. I wan not happy with my wine selction - but that was my choice, no fault of theirs. We were a party of 4 that made our reservation only a few days before. Very happy!!!!!! Our first visit to Le Gigot was MANY years ago during one of our many food tours. We have been back twice and look forward to coming back again on our yearly long weekend adventure in NY. Thank you Le Gogot for another wonderful dinner!
Fantastic restaurant with excellent food and staff members. Everything tasted delicious and hearty. The folks there were all knowledgeable and helpful with menu choices and wine recommendations. I highly recommended it!
Fabulous tiny french bistro in the heart of the West Village.
Charming wait staff.
finished off with two wonderful deserts.
We sat outside on a hot summer evening. Heaven.
Very friendly and attentive staff.
Food was excellent.
Would highly recommend.
Great food and service. Always reliable service and attentive without being rushed. The food is prepared well without allergens and traditionally French. Good quality wines on menu by the glass or bottle. The service is sometimes difficult to track and has some lapses, but nothing critical, because the same waiters also service the outside area which is much larger than the inside one. The noise level inside could get robust when full, but after 9PM that is resolved when fewer people are present at the tables. Suggest some type of sound proofing as the walls, ceiling, tables and floor are all hard surfaces that further amplify the sounds of diners. No music is played which is blessing. Otherwise, a great experience.
Food was delicious. Service impeccable. Not a very large menu but the items my husband and I shared were excellent. Lovely small bistro on a quiet West Village Street.
Excellent rack of lamb, crab cake, and escargots. gracious service and hospitality.
Birthday great food, great service, a little warm inside
Excellent service but the food is on the pricey side (wine quite over-priced).
Food is superb. Service excellent. We ate outside, which was our preference.
The staff was eagerly attentive and accommodating; the food was presented promptly and it was delicious. A wonderful bistro meal!
The restaurant was completely charming in every way! It felt like a small bistro in Paris. The food was reasonably priced and very good. The service was attentive but not too much so. The overall experience was great and we will definitely be back.
We went to Le Gigot for lunch and the brunch and dinner menu were offered. The inside space is cozy, calm and intimate. Both of us had the eggs Benedict which turned out to be a good choice. We will definitely return.
The food is flavourful and delicious as always. This is one of the few restaurants where I know I could close my eyes and point to any item on the menu and it would be amazing. Le Gigot also has one the most attentive waitstaff in the city!
Fantastic classical French cooking. Delicious food highly recommend
Always a West Village favorite. Food and service always excellent. We had crab cakes, lobster salad and duck confit. Good wines, reasonably priced.
Delicious food, good service and reasonable prices!
Excellent provençale cuisine in an authentic setting. We had the crab cakes, the moule and the bouillabaisse. They were all excellent and authentic. Chimay bleu was a great complement to the food. The service was friendly. The decor needs updating.
We had a lovely dinner outside. Food was very good. The occasion was marred only by the dessert. the tarte tatin was supposed to be served with creme fraiche but was instead accompanied by a lump of sour cream! Ick. And when I pointed this out to the waiter, he condescendingly explained that the sour cream was really creme fraiche the way it is served in France. Right, sure, like I don’t know what sour cream looks and tastes like!
An all time favorite.
All six of us enjoyed the food! Excellent seevice
The food was clean, fresh and perfectly portioned to satisfy. The wait staff was attentive and friendly and made the experience of dining a real treat.
