Lovely ambiance with intimate setting and great food. An oasis in the Village.

We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent.
It's a smallish place and it got rather noisy at times.
We would go back again!

Cozy pre-theatre dinner. Quick & friendly service, but never felt rushed. Coq au vin just like in Paris and a healthy Loup de mer with tons of flavor... reminded me of a Paris cafe, not too high end as to feel stuffy, just right & comfy!

What a gem! Went for brunch on a Saturday and got there well before our reservation. Were seated happily. The ambiance is like a perfect Paris side street bistro with a cute bar in front. We ordered off the prix fix menu which is reasonably priced for NY. I had an omelette that was done nicely and soft as one would expect in France. My capoccino was included and well prepared. My wife enjoyed her brioche French toast with excellent bacon. The service was very friendly and unobtrusive. We look forward to coming for dinner.

Sad to say that the food in this place is mediocre at best. Nothing we ate stood out. Allegedly, the leg of lamb is the standout dish but it really didn't deliver. It was also far from cheap. Less that exemplary, not recommended. By no means classic bistro dinning.

Never a bad meal or experience here. Worth the neighborhood gem experience even if you have to ride the subway for 20 minutes to get there. In the middle of the occasionally pretentious or ultra-youthful West Village, this place is an oasis of old school, old world charm and warmth. Solid and creative bistro fare from light to meat heavy, always fresh. Love it. Love it.

Le Gigot is a Village gem. A true French Bistro with exceptional food and ambience.
The restaurant is small and charming and always welcoming.. Owner Pamela, always there, oversees the performance of the staff and kitchen. One of our absolute favorites that never disapoints.

My husband and I have dined at Le Gigot several times over the past 15 years and the experience is always fantastic! The service is always impeccable and the meal delicious. Pamela and her team are always warm and gracious, and make all of their patrons feel welcome. After each experience we oftentimes comment on the consistency of the entire dining experience. While possibly difficult to recreate Le Gigot consistently executes time and time again.

We dined at Le Gigot with friends for my wife’s birthday. We knew the food would be great, having dined there twice before, but the staff was friendly and made the evening extra special. We’ll be back again; thanks for a special evening!

A busy Saturday night: lots of good cheer and food with friends in a cozy setting. At the top of everyone's list for a wonderful modern French dining experience. If only there had been room for their tarte tatin!

We've been to this lovely restaurant a number of times over the last 10 to 15 years and it never disappoints. It's small, cosy and intimate; you feel like you're dining in the south of France. And you can actually have a conversation, which is increasingly difficult in so many Manhattan restaurants these days. The service is excellent, and the quality and presentation of food consistently good. They only serve wine, and the wine list is limited but nonetheless with decent choices (if a bit pricey). Highly recommended.

I recently had Sunday brunch here and loved it. We ordered from the prix fixed menu. The food was perfectly prepared and proportioned. It is one of the few places left where you can actually sit down and talk without being overtaken by loud crowds and hipsters. Civilized, great food and service, at a cost that wont break the bank. A rare gem!

This is definitely one of the west village's hidden gems. The place itself has a lovely French vibe, and the food is fantastic! Great for a dinner with a small group of friends, or certainly a date night out.

If you like French food Le Gigot is a must. Service is excellent. The wine selection is limited but all are good choices. The duck confit and pappardelle with short ribs are favorites. For desert try the banana flambé or the brioche pudding.

This was our second time to Le Gigot and it was just as good as we remembered. It's a tiny space-- very cozy ,warm, and off the beaten path. The food is outstanding and the service was great too. My husband got the coq a vin and I had the arctic char. Both were so flavorful. We cleaned our plates! Great place for a date or special occasion. Can't wait to go back.

A quiet, small enclave on a side street in the West Village. Authentic French bistro cuisine, simply prepared, with a small but astute wine list. One of the few American establishments that is genuinely managed in the best of informal French cuisine traditions.

Le Gigot is the most authentic French cuisine I’ve had in quite some time. Everything was delicious (I wish I had asked if I could go home with a loaf of their bread), but the Crème Brûlée was perfection.

We went for a special dinner for our son's birthday. The food was perfect I had the special, Sea Bass with roasted vegetables... perfection.
We finished off with Crème Brulee and Bananas Flambé not sure which one I enjoyed more.
Both my husband and son had wonderful meals, lamb stew and beef bourguignon.

One of our favorite NYC restaurants. The gracious owner, the efficient wait and bus staff, the consistently wonderful food (everything on the menu is worth ordering) all combine for a lovely dining experience. And in addition, you can have a conversation with your dining companions without shouting. All in all, a special restaurant.

Once again Le Gigot does not disappoint. The best duck confit I have ever had. My husband loves the bouillabaisse. The service is quietly attentive. We found this gem years ago and keep coming back.

We were looking for a small, reasonably priced restaurant to meet new friends and get to know them better. Le Gigot was a perfect choice. It's small and intimate, and at 6:00 pm we had it almost to ourselves. The food was great: beef bourguignon, bouillabaisse and hanger steak - not a morsel left on anyone's plate. Even though the restaurant is very small, we didn't feel pressured to leave after we were done. Will definitely go back and recommend it to friends.

One of our favorite restaurants, the food is very good and creative. We particularly love the crabcakes, which are the best we've ever had, including crabcakes served on the Maryland shore. The restaurant is small and a bit cramped, and the service is quite timely, knowledgeable and personal.

Great French comfort food served up by a great staff. Quarters are a bit tight but isn't that the Paris experience? Every one on staff was extremely friendly, personable, and helpful - thoroughly enjoyable! The frisee salad was one of the most delicious salads I've ever had.
