The menu is a seasonal affair where produce is sourced locally. The dishes are replicas of Catherine’s recipes, created by her over the years at her many restaurants such as La Laiterie Sainte Clotilde, Le Sept/Quinze, Chez Graff and Le Café de Mars in Paris, as well as Le Mistral & South Park Café in San Francisco.
Her daughter Rachel, who grew up in her mother’s restaurants, & has worked in a number of top NYC food establishments is bringing her organizational know-how & as an Interior Designer, her artistic sensibility.
Absolutely loved it! The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. Will definitely go back. The chicken was one the best I’ve ever had - anywhere!!!
Delicious inventive menu.
Magnificent. Perfect. Delicious. My new favourite spot.
Amazing food, great service definitely worth your while.
I discovered Le Garage about a month ago and have been back 4 times now. I love this place!
The space is attractive and modern, and also has outdoor seating on a quiet street. The owner and chef are a French mother/daughter team, and the French inspired cuisine is delicious and artfully presented. Their roast chicken for two is the best I've ever had in NYC, and the classic dishes such as the braised leeks and foie gras terrine are spot on. A recent Sea Bass dish was also about as good as it gets . I don't think Le Bernardin could have done better on that dish. One night I was with two very picky people who manage high end restaurants in Manhattan, and they raved about the fish as well. The wine list is limited, but it is carefully chosen. All the wines I've had have been excellent and priced reasonably. The service is friendly and every night I've been one or both of the owners have been there in the kitchen and/or working the dining room. It reminds me of great small restaurants in Paris, where the proprietors attend to every detail . Given the prices for both food and wine, I can't think of a better fine dining value in NYC at the moment. This is a neighborhood gem, and also a restaurant worthy of a trip to Bushwick.
Amazing food, beautiful scene. Will definitely go back.
Ten of us went for a post-wedding brunch. Food was outstanding and service was superb. Highly recommend it.
Excellent food, in my option would be worthy of a Michelin star. Friendly staff and efficient service.
Incredible French cuisine in Bushwick!
Most definitely the best French restaurant in NY.
Amazing atmosphere, great people and food has been consistently mind blowing.
My go to place.
Had a lovely meal here last Saturday
The ceviche was very good, as was the light and pleasant watermelon salad. The hangar steak was great, and the branzino fish special was also very tasty. Wines and non alcoholic drinks were quite nice. Dessert was a bit disappointing - the chocolate cake was a bit dry, and the pineapple was a bit plain.
Service was knowledgeable and attentive.
Overall - excellent - and we will return.
The food was awesome we had Rack of Lamb, Steak and Fish of the Day - Sea bass each dish was delicious in fact so much so we plan to go back!
Such a beautiful spot. accessible with friendly welcoming and accommodating staff, delicious and well prepared food and a nice selection of wines both by the glass and bottle. Whenever I'm in town, it's a spot I love to return to.
Terrible service, never asked for main courses! Instead the entire staff was hanging out. It got to the point where we had to walk up to the bar and pay our tab and left hungry!
What a gem of a place! Met a friend here for dinner the other night and we enjoyed every dish. The ceviche appetizer was a standout, would highly recommend, as was the fish of the day. Love the atmosphere and vibe in the place as well. Everyone was attentive without being intrusive and the indoor outdoor feel was perfect on a beautiful August night.
Wonderful restaurant with great interesting courses and cocktails . Love the ambience and the service was outstanding .
So happy to have found this restaurant. The open "walls" made for a lovely dining experience outside. The chicken for two was cooked to perfection (those mashed potatoes-yummm!) and Rachel made our first time here a delight. I envision this being my new neighborhood go-to.
The Chicken Entree was truly spectacular. The cocktails were also quite excellent.
Way overpriced for the area and for what it's worth. That's probably why it was empty on a Friday night.
Extremely lovely place, in every way.
Wonderful food and attentive service. Very nice neighborhood place.
Once again we had a lovely time at Le Garage in Brooklyn, welcomed as always by Rachel, and wonderful staff. We enjoy the simple and friendly European experience and lovely food choices. Bon Appetit... and so happy about the French election results. We will be back soon I hope.
We celebrated a birthday there. If you love French cuisine the place is highly recommended. The wine is also very good.
This was an ultimate dining experience - from cocktails to equisite food - and a wonderful staff and Rachel the owner - a truly memorable dining experience. Don't miss it!
Fantastic food and service.
The delicious food was served by a very friendly and efficient staff!
The food is absolutely superb. The foie gras is to die for as are many of the appetizers, and the duck entree rocked.
Chicken for 2 is amazing.
Perfectly roasted chicken is just one of the classic French bistro items on the Le Garage menu. You can taste the love in the food here, from the trout rillettes to the soups to the dessert mousse.
Le Garage is my favorite Bushwhick restaurant. The owners always remember us and make sure we're taken care of during our meal. The "Organic Chicken for Two" is unbeatable. And, as someone who doesn't care for brunch, I would happily brunch here.
Great Little French restsurant in Bushwick. My husband and I took our son and his friend. Hangar steak was great. Mussels were excellent too. We would go back.
Chef is a French Women- she was not there even though it was Saturday night
The food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a taste of fine dining in a more casual atmosphere.
Le Garage is the best find we've had in months. We took a bet on a restaurant outside of Williamsburg and we are very glad we did. Le Garage delivered in every possible way - welcoming staff, decor, drinks, & food. The food and service especially shined through. It's very obvious the owner and staff are passionate about their restaurant and eager to please their guests. We will definitely come back!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Perfect for a date or dinner with friends.
Came here in a recent rainy Saturday. Totally worth the trip in from downtown Manhattan. Service so friendly and room is low-key and not trying so hard to be hip. Recommend the Hangar steak with potatoes
Run by a super nice French mother-daughter team. This place is a neighborhood gem that we hope doesn't remain a well kept secret for long. One of the best restaurants in Bushwick!
I love Le Garage. I discovered it looking for restaurants after a visit to "The Grand Paradise" and found it an unexpected gem. It rivals any great restaurant in Manhattan and you feel extra special because it's in the middle of a rising part of Bushwick.
We ordered panisse, the fried chickpeas, to start, but our server wasn't happy with how long it was taking to make, so he surprised us with the snack of radishes. I loved the cream of zucchini soup (a special of the day) and halibut with a scallop (the fish of the day). Service was attentive and top-notch.
I won the kudos of my friends, who loved finding a new, emerging gem. Jaded New Yorkers can discover this hot spot, too!
Would like to see a more extensive wine list. Otherwise all was terrific
Amazing restaurant ! Fish is so great! I will definitly go back!
