Arrived on time and were seated quickly. Went to order my favorite crispy spring rolls and was informed that they were out. The server proceeded to take our order without writing anything down. He then stood at the terminal (which was right next to our table) and asked each of us again what we wanted. I don’t understand why he didn’t just write it down to begin with. When our food came out, it was wrong. They took two of the four dishes away to correct them and by the time we got them back, the other two people had finished eating.
It was my best friends birthday and it was incredibly embarrassing that this meal was such a fail. The server could not have cared any less about the problems with our meal. Never apologized, never offered to bring us something while we waited on our food....nothing. It was just a horrendous experience. Most definitely will not be returning.
The food was very tasty, service was great. The steamed dumpling were delicious, as well as the Drunken Beef dish. We were there for a birthday celebration and the wait staff could not have been nicer. Highly recommended.
WE always enjoy our dinners at Le Fat. The food is very tasty and great quality. Every friend we take there also really enjoys it! Thanks for a great restaurant!
My husband and I found Le Fat by using the Atlanta Dining Passbook. It's one of our favorite new places!
The clay pot chicken is incredible!! We've also had the Lemongrass shrimp. It's also very good! We tried the lemongrass mussels this time. We were pretty disappointed. It didn't have near the flavor of the other dishes. It was a generous portion of mussels, but only came with 3 small pieces of bread. When we asked for more, we were told it would be a $3 up charge. We thought that was excessive for bread. The service was good enough, not great. We wish they would serve ice with the water or at least really cold water, but it was poured only slightly chilled and warmed quickly. We look forward to returning again soon to try other options.
Amazing flavor in the curry chicken! The clay pot, calamari, and dumplings were all a hit!
Food was wonderful
This was my second visit. I got the steak clay pot. It was just as wonderful as the chicken clay pot. I hope this restaurant keeps the good stuff and bring back the chicken which I never tasted yet.
2nd time at Le Fat. Soooo sooo delicious 😋
We have to come once every few month so I can get my crunchy rice fix! The chicken clay pot is soooo good!
Amazing food - flavors are like a sexy slow dance in you mouth. ♥️♥️♥️
Service weak - inexperienced server
Staff made up for it
We had one of the best meals here at Le Fat! What an incredible spot right in the heart of Atlanta. Can’t wait to go back!
My Mi Cua was extremely salty. Was given a second order and was better, but the crab was miniscule. I had to remind the server several times that I had ordered a drink.
The atmosphere was nice and allowed good conversation. My date had no complaints with his meal.
Went for a date originally our server was good. Ordered the calamari with jalapeño which was amazing. My complaint came from the entree we ordered (pork belly bowl). This dish was 90% rice and 2% pork, 4% egg and 4% bok Choy. Overall wasn’t an horrible experience overall I just felt as though we payed more for less.
Food was delicious. Had a chance to try the broth for the first time after several visits and was glad I did. The shaking steak is my favorite and never disappoints.
I came to Le Fat with a modest approach to their menu. I had reviewed previous reviews and knew it would be a fusion experience and atypical of what you would normally find at a Vietnamese restaurant. The service was great but the food was less than desired. My husband and I ordered the Pork Belly bowl and the Drunken Noodle. The Pork Belly bowl was so bland, the rice was dry; it was honestly something that my parents (I'm Asian) would have whipped together with what was left in our pantry on a day we didn't have much groceries. The drunken noodle dish was not bad but could have had a few more pieces of protein. Despite the great service and nice ambiance, unfortunately I will not return. There are better places with better quality food for the price you're paying here.
Short and to the point. The ambiance was great. Well designed and fun atmosphere located in trendy area of Atlanta. However, I can't really say the food was much better than what you can find on Buford Highway (where you can find a plethora of Vietnamese restaurants) for about half the price. That's not to be taken as the food was bad as the Vietnamese restaurants on Buford Highway are generally satisfying and tasty. Service was not too bad but was definitely not over the top. If you live in the immediate neighborhood then this is go-to option. If you are closer to Buford Highway head over there instead. Value for this cuisine is better. You just won't have the ambiance the La Fat has to offer. Hope this helps.
The atmosphere and food were great! We look forward to returning soon.
Le Fat is the perfect dinning spot for a special date, hanging out with friends, or a business meeting with a client.
Vietnamese restaurant for basic chicks. Food is good, but there are better Vietnamese restaurants in Atlanta (food-wise); they just might not be as Insta-worthy.
This is our 2nd time and everything is on the menu. Very attentive service and the food is still fabulous.
Food was pretty good. My pork belly bowl was surprisingly dry. I used the siracha butter that came with my partners crab noodles to give the bowl some moisture.
Food was fantastic! Great place for an intimate gathering!
As usual... the food didn't disappoint. We were disappointed however that the Clay Pot meals were not served in the clay pots. We were told that you had a new dishwasher and they were behind in washing the pots. Looking around the restaurant, there was only one other person that has a clay pot. I thought that was a little odd.
The food was very good. Apps: fried spring rolls and dumplings. The dumplings had this nice soy sauce with crispy onions. Entree: drunken noodles and chicken clay pot with crispy rice. Excactly what we wanted to eat. Very tasty. Not too salty. Noodles had a nice chew. Just perfect. Will be back!
Unique and unusual food in a casual atmosphere
Everything coming out of the kitchen and from the bar looks delicious!
Food still awesome a year later. A bit disappointed the menu didn’t change. Recommended.
Love the Drunken Noodles! The Crispy Spring Roll was delicious. Looking forward to trying the Chicken Clay Pot. Very popular spot...Make reservations!
Great food, fast service. Very friendly waiter. I think they need to make some tweaks to the menu as some items I saw in pictures weren't actually listed and I had to show the waiter what I wanted. But everything tasted great. I saw reviews about cars getting booted but I parked in their designated parking area and had no issues. Would definitely recommend.
This is the second Birthday I have had at Le Fat! Absolutely fun!
Le Fat is always a great dining experience, with stellar service and of course an amazing meal. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent. I had the Clay Pot Chicken. It was wonderful. My guest wanted the famous fried chicken that is no longer on the menu.
Excellent experience! I highly recommend the drunken noodles or vermicelli bowl.
Unique restaurant in west midtown, get the clay pot
Food was fantastic for us vegans. Lacking supply of Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Server Micah is very nice. Ambience is a little loud but it's ok. Not much offering for vegan apps.
Claypot Tofu is the Best.....
Always love Le Fat. First time trying the vermicelli bowl and the pho; both were extraordinary.
Third time to Le Fat, and, as always, a wonderful time. The Chicken Clay Pot was the table favorite, but the starter dumplings was a close second.
Great dining experience. Our server was enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. Food was excellent. We had the Lemon Grass Shrimp and the Clay Pot Chicken. They were both delicious. Couldn't decide which we liked better. Highly Recommend. Do not miss this.
Fast service. Tasty experience.
