We love eating here....always great food and service....and the menu is terrific, too! Something for everyone.....a neighborhood gem!
Service was good and accommodating. Food was mediocre. Disappointing as I brought a friend for his birthday.
Wide menu selection, well prepared and presented dishes that were excellent. Reasonable prices and wine list with friendly service. Indoor and outdoor dining options, both nice. Definitely going back and recommend to friends.
The food is terrific. From lasagna to chicken to fish everything is great. Food is served hot and efficiently. Portions are huge.
Great Italian cooking.
GREAT food always. Fresh and delicious! Our favorite Italian restaurant. Highly recommended!
As always, the food was great. I always have a full order of Fettuchini Alfredo with peas, sauted onions and Italian bacon for appetizer. The Picatta is a favorite, and with a cold bottle of Pinot Grigio who can beat it !!
Had a great dinner with huge portions on the last night of our friend's Palm Desert vacation. Was looking for a great Italian place, and found Le Donne Cucina after a couple others were fully booked on a Friday night. I'm very glad that they were booked - so I could enjoy this hidden gem, located in a "strip mall" near El Paseo. I'm looking forward to going back soon!
Our go to restaurant while visiting Palm Desert. We dined with our 6 and 2 year old grandchildren outside and it was perfect. Great veal and pasta dishes for us and spaghetti for them! Shhhh...don't tell all your friends about this restaurant. Keep it a secret!!!
This restaurant is superb! We went back three times in two weeks while visiting in Palm Desert! The veal dishes are so tasty and the sausage appetizer is really special. This is a family run restaurant and the service is excellent. We ate outdoors and enjoyed the warm weather. We have eaten at several other Italian restaurants in the area and none of them compared to Le Donna Cucina. Absolutely a great value! We will return next year when we return to the area.
Solid Italian fare, with an extensive set of pasta options. Service was quite slow.
Difficult place to find. Tucked into a strip mall with no roadside signs. Yet from there on it was wonderful. Great small restaurant ambiance and comfort. Full menu with great choices-each of our dishes being delicious. I thought prices were very reasonable for the quality of food.
Great food and service. Will definitely be back!!!
Good food as always but very crowded and we were in the back room which I don’t like
Made a last minute reservation here and it was very good. It was Saturday night and packed, but service was good and food was very good. We will be back.
We have been there MANY timed and the qualilty of the food is always very good.
Authentic Italian is hard to find. That's why you would go to Le Donne Cucina.
The appetizers we had were outstanding. Beef Cappaccio with Parmesean - some of the best you will ever have. And the Salciccia Arrabiatta - Molto Buono! I would drive 2 hours for this dish, which you can also get over housemade linguini. The sauce is simply THAT good...minced garlic, crushed tomato, olive oil, crushed red pepper, fabulous!!!!!(!) My veal Piccata was everything I had hoped for, and a little spaghetti aglio olio with some more red pepper and parmesean....homemade Tira Misu to top it off.... we left with one thing in mind. A return very soon!
Food is excellent with great service, local favorite so it’s a bid crowded that was less than the romantic atmosphere I wanted for our Anniversary, but- the pasta and veal were exceptional and my wife is a professional chef and educator for a national culinary school. Food is 5+. Everyone is done with dinner and gone by 9:30 so probably not the best location for a planned late dinner.
We ate there with friends inside (too windy for the patio). Crowded, noisy but oh, the food! Best Italian food we've had since moving here from the SF Bay area. Very accommodating server -- I asked for a different noodle for the penne alla vodka with shrimp, no problem. So I had it with fetttucine and it was fantastic. Best thing about the evening: polenta with mushroom sauce as an appetizer. The polenta was baked, so it had a nice crisp texture, and the mushroom sauce was perfect. This place is a gem.
This was our first visit and won't be our last. Great food. Good value. Great service. Tables were a bit crowded.
Good as always.
Excellent food and a huge menu
They have grilled prawns that are exceptionally good. Best I’ve ever had. The penne pasta with vodka sauce is excellent
Always love this restaurant. Great food and service.
Excellent food
Great atmosphere
Great service
GREAT restaurant...delicious food. Terrific servers!
We had another great meal at Le Donne Cucina Italiana on Saturday night. It was busy but our service was very good.
It was a birthday dinner for my wife , who loves Italian food. The choices were numerous and our server helped us with our selections..the spinach salad , with mushrooms was outstanding, the veal special was also outstanding. It would take several visits to sample all their selections, and that would be a pleasure.
A little disappointing. Cute place. They were out of most of the Italian wines. The food was not like authentic Italian. Sauce on eggplant parmesan was anemic. Sauce on linguini with clams and mussels was pretty tasteless. They were out of gelato that was ordered. So instead got a cannoli that was not very good. Not going back.
Awful. Each of us had a pasta dish that no one enjoyed. Al denote was barely cooked. Only flavor we would taste was garlic. When server figured out we did not like our food he disappeared.
We have enjoyed dinner here many times and this was no exception,
Great food and service.
If you want good food this is the place to eat at. The service people are the best. I keep trying El Paseo main.... try it and you will recommend Le Cucina like I am doing now.
The brown bolognese sauce was the best we have ever tasted! The homemade papardelle pasta was cooked perfectly, al dente. Really enjoyed the food and service!
Food was of a very high order. Better than ever! Looking forward to going back soon.
The food was very good. Homemade papparedel with bolonaise was a big hit. So was the homemade tortellini with a light cream sauce. Prosciutto and melon was also good. Wine list left much to be desired and the red we ordered wasn’t very good. This is a very good place for homemade Italian food without the frills.
We have been to Donne Cuchina before and we usually go when the canneloni is on the menu. We made a reservation and it was quite busy when we arrived, so it took a while to be seated. We ordered canneloni with spinach, and pasta carbonara, and the food was good, however the canneloni was not as hot as usual. The server also did not bring bread , so I am not sure if this was a miss, or the restaurant has changed it's practice. It was not overly warm that day so the wine which is at room temperature was better than when it is hot. We may try a different Italian place if we can get a recommendation on good canneloni.
Valentine’s Day on the patio with heaters. Good food and service.
We had a delicious Valentine’s Day dinner. Great waitresses despite busy night.
Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Waiting area, or lack therof, was very uncomfortable. Food must have been microwaved as it came out in 10 minutes. Was tasteless.
Maybe it was just off because it was Valentine's Day.
